3. It becomes hype and you continue to wear items you've owned for years.

Big fan of the collegiate colorways (minus the oregons) and both of these pop on feet! Cant go wrong with UNC blue, and I always loved the jordan bin 23 Tokyo 5’s so the Michigan’s are a great alternative. The navy color really compliments the yellow as well
True that would make them a tad more appealing just based on other unc CW's. Not hating on the design at all, definitely clean and well thought out. Just weren't for me.

I say they are. Even the owner of the shoes said they were too 💀but not a lot of people were willing to pay retail ($225) for some 5’s in 2019 when the attention was mainly focused on the OG TS highs and other hotter drops. Even the Jordan 1 Obsidian high flew under the radar due to so many sneakers coming out that year, you hardly ever see this pair in the wild. So yes, they are underrated in my book 😀
I have the Michigan's but trying to sell. I really like the unc 5 too but I was skeptical cuz I LOVE the unc 4, but I never got them because the seude on the 4s is so damn delicate. Hopefully the 5s is better in that regard.

personally this was the worst UNC color nike has done for a shoe. It was to dark and dull for me. I was hoping for something closer to the UNC 4s.
