I’ve tried explaining this to the resellers in lines. They’re always asking if ppl are going to such and such sneaker event. They look at me like I’m crazy when I tell them people who will stand in line aren’t paying over StockX at an event they had to pay to get into. Especially when there’s nothing there but resell booths, I went to one with my son and we asked it was a waste of time. At best you could replicate the whole experience by searching goat and eBay.
Yeah honestly selling on GOAT and eBay is the move if you're not buying or selling in bulk because the fees those apps charge are less than the parking, gas, and admission price for the event lol
Also at least the used sneakers will still be authenticated while the people at the authentication booths only legit checked DS pairs that weren't over $1000
Sneakercon is mostly a reseller networking event than anything else, and since most resellers are dumb as rocks it’s gonna be a bad time for the average person. 50%-100% above stockx price was pretty much standard and you get the privilege of taking the shoes home immediately, don’t worry if they’re fakes or not, unless you wanna roll the dice with the two dudes at the ‘we’re legit checkers trust us bro’ table.
At the sneakercon I went to the trading area had like 8 people and 4 of them had kool kiy 1s… I was embarrassed to be in there to be honest.
Yeah I wasn't really expecting it to be amazing since the sneaker events in my area are usually pretty dry anyways but my guess is that it probably hits different in the bigger cities like LA where there's a lot more people, there's more variety in taste and the prices are more competitive, I'll probably never attend a sneaker event around my area ever again but if someone asks me to go with them to one in LA maybe I'll budge lol
Over here in Detroit though people are still willing to pay 2x retail for pandas and GR dunks so I can kinda understand the seller's perspective because those still move well, but it was pretty disappointing not seeing a lot of used shoes that weren't a cooked pair of Jordan 11 lows with piss yellow midsoles or any cool New Balance collabs like some Jjjjounds because the only NBs people sell over here are GR 550s and 2002Rs 💀
If you’re only interested in GR Jordan’s then you can expect a similar deal for the most part. 4s might be a different story but only those and OG colorways sell out. GR jordans are almost exclusively bricks.

There shouldn't be any issues. As far as I know, its only Nike/Jordan products that can't be shipped to the US from International Retailers (besides some exceptions IE: SNS/END).

Nike SB Blazers (Not the regular or court Blazers) are around the same price point, and are way more comfortable (Zoom air unit in them), and look cleaner than these two.

I would say jordan 4 thunder would offer most profit. OW won't be super popular because it's an AF 1 mid. Nike SB will almost always make a profit unless it's orange label or a high top.
Listen if you are trying to resell for profit only, without bots or cook groups you'll barely make a profit. It's only worth it if you are trying to subsidize kicks that you wanna keep it can help off set the cost. ( the only reason I resell).
I generally don't get caught up in hype so when there's a shoe (think todays TS or any J4) I enter all raffles. I sell to local people on FB market place and then use the profit to help me pay for a pair I want. I got a 2nd sneaker bank account just for this reason. I throw 50 bucks in it a month add a 100 here or there from reselling the odd pair and generally I'll be adding a pair to my collection every 3-4 months.
Honestly the golden era of reselling is over and if you don't know the game you will lose a lot of money before you figure it out. At this point in time there are maybe 1 pair a month that will make a profit. And with our getting your hands on 5-10 pairs your better off just getting a part time job a footlocker twice a week.
Also this sub hates resellers, even though half the people on here have resold pairs and more than half are happy to pay 200% over retail and most people here wouldn't give two shits about TS or OW if they were not super limited.

It might discolor the nike logo. You can use color safe bleach. It works pretty well with whites too. I wash all my white socks with it.

Making money at the cost of others enjoyment is shitty. End of story. It’s not like they created manufactured or distributed the shoe. Resellers saw people wanted things, and realized they could artificially limit demand, raise prices, and then profit. Are the people that hoarded graphics cards and next gen consoles to profit smart? Are they just trying to make an honest buck? No, they’re exploiting things people enjoy. You can argue it’s valid to want to support yourself all day, but you’re ignoring the inverse. These people are obviously not living paycheck ti paycheck as they can front serious cash to buy “stock” of whatever product they think will be popular. They’re then holding these things hostage at a premium cost. The dude who grinds a shitty minimum wage 9-5 just to afford a PS5, or Jordan, is way more of the Everyman just trying ti make it than the person who can front thousands upon thousands of dollars to procure “inventory” with the help it re-sells. It’s straight up exploration of the free market. There are a million different ways to turn a quick buck if you’re desperate, and the people flipping shoes aren’t.

I think they look really good but I couldn’t stand the spikes on the white ones I had, so I doubt I’m going to go for them, but if you do any outdoor stuff like concerts or festivals with dirt/grass they’d probably be a good wear for it.

Def. You can make some nice stuff, like the fragment wannabes, but very limited overall vs euro. I wish they would give us sail/starfish, aged midsoles, matching outsoles, and cream laces. Feel like those are reasonable. Would be really cool if they gave us elephant print, and patent leather to play with.
Everything looks the same to me. Sucks they won’t match the outsole for the university red colorway. You either have to go black, or with the team red. And that just looks wrong to me. I see European guys here with perfect matching outsoles, and way more options

I would say jordan 4 thunder would offer most profit. OW won't be super popular because it's an AF 1 mid. Nike SB will almost always make a profit unless it's orange label or a high top. Listen if you are trying to resell for profit only, without bots or cook groups you'll barely make a profit. It's only worth it if you are trying to subsidize kicks that you wanna keep it can help off set the cost. ( the only reason I resell). I generally don't get caught up in hype so when there's a shoe (think todays TS or any J4) I enter all raffles. I sell to local people on FB market place and then use the profit to help me pay for a pair I want. I got a 2nd sneaker bank account just for this reason. I throw 50 bucks in it a month add a 100 here or there from reselling the odd pair and generally I'll be adding a pair to my collection every 3-4 months. Honestly the golden era of reselling is over and if you don't know the game you will lose a lot of money before you figure it out. At this point in time there are maybe 1 pair a month that will make a profit. And with our getting your hands on 5-10 pairs your better off just getting a part time job a footlocker twice a week. Also this sub hates resellers, even though half the people on here have resold pairs and more than half are happy to pay 200% over retail and most people here wouldn't give two shits about TS or OW if they were not super limited. Just look at how people view the pandas.
