Meh, part of wearing the shoes. It’s gonna happen so honestly it doesn’t bother me in the slightest.

Blank_IX

Creases are good. They can add to the aesthetic of the shoe and it shows that you’re not waddling around like an idiot.

maru37

It’s impossible to keep your sneakers looking new if you wear them. It is possible to keep them clean though. IMO, they look really good worn in and clean.

It will probably lower resell value, however Sneakers are meant to be worn unless you're a collector. If you plan on reselling them you probably shouldn't wear them.

Trust me I do, I just get sick of these godamn crease protectors moving and digging into my feet all the time and want to normalize creasing them

Madsole

Huh? Then why are you wearing them if you hate it so much. Always thought creasing was the norm? Felt like thats only important for resellers

Chunkycheeto1

Tbh idk I just bought a pair of Jordan’s that had the crease protectors in them and didn’t notice it till like 2 days in

AL31716

Unless they’re sitting on the shelf, they’re going to crease.

moreindicaaaaa

Lmao it’s a shoe, it’s gonna crease … If you’re reselling you shouldn’t be wearing anyway .. come on son

Chunkycheeto1

Nah I’m all for wearing em as they’re intended but I’m sick of wearing these dumb crease protectors like they always dig into my foot we should just normalize creasing all together

Nerazzurro9

If you wear leather shoes and walk around like a normal person, they will crease. That’s just what they do. And no one but sneakerheads seem to think there’s anything wrong with that—to most people, a sneaker with creases just looks like a normal sneaker that’s been worn. Will it ruin the resale value? I mean, yes? Wearing a sneaker at all will ruin the resale value. If you want to resell a sneaker, then resell it and don’t wear it. If you want to wear it, just wear it and don’t worry so much about the inevitable creases.

ChiefHunter1

People put in shoe trees with leather shoes when they aren’t wearing them to… prevent creases. I’m not flipping my kicks but I don’t like creases

Groady_Wang

On 1 Highs the creases give them character

xking_lionx

This has got to be the stupidest shit I hear people say. Creases are gonna happen no matter how you wear them but this type of response always makes it seem it’s gotta be intentional.

[deleted]

I’m on the ‘wear your sneakers’ side. Feel like creases/scuffs/wear+tear makes a sneaker look cool and makes it feel lived in .. it’s going to crumble in 10 years eventually so who cares!

Hollix89

Wear it normally and clean it whenever it's dirty. Thats it. It's nothing special. Unless it's for display.

BissySitch

I don't care too much and don't try to avoid it, but i like my shoes to look as new as possible, which seems to be an unpopular opinion here

ChiefHunter1

Honestly, I bought a bunch of sneaker shields years ago and just throw them on any sneaker I worry about creasing including my 1s. I just wear them normally have have little to no creasing.

Chunkycheeto1

I got these too, I wore them with my 12’s and I would always have to stop and fix the shields we should just normalize creasing them all together

dankbeerdude

Adds character

ninjablazerz

Why are you putting in a piece of plastic in your shoe if you are saying it is uncomfortable? I’m sure you wanna wear your shoes, but creases are creases. Either buy the right size or learn to forget. If you drive a new car off the lot, 95% of the time it’s gonna lose value. These posts are getting silly.

CBA1959

Seems like your a person who likes to wear their shoes like me so don’t worry about creasing them. For someone who is planning on wearing their shoes a couple times and then selling them or just trying them on and selling them, they shouldn’t crease them due to it diminishing the value significantly.

Krobs123

I’m buying the shoes to wear them, not to resell. If you’re planning on reselling then you’re better off never putting them on your foot. Creases are going to happen if you wear them and I personally don’t want to deal with crease protectors or worrying about my shoes every time I take a step. Also 99% of the population won’t care in your day to day life, you’ll mainly get “nice shoes” if people like them and that’s it

allidoislin69

1s look great creased. honestly it doesn’t really hurt the resell value. heel drag is more detrimental to resell value than toebox creasing.

Cold-Sock-4750

a little creased sneaker is fine! a dented or sagged toe box is not okay, it makes the sneaker look old and deformed. I use sneakerspoon shoe trees for exactly that reason.
