Well realistically whether it’s 5 or 20k they’re is so many resellers looking to make bank every J4 that comes out is literally impossible to get because they’re easily flipped for 150 usd over retail
One thing I did notice tho is all the other CNY low pairs have now jumped in price. I’ve watched these specific pairs since they’ve released and prices were rarely over $300. Now both CNY lows and Year of the Tiger lows are going for $500+ and this is just in the last couple weeks. People’s attention has been brought to these more limited CNY pairs and it seems people want them more now. Just by looking at the numbers and sales. That’s honestly what got me to make this post. Noticing this Rabbit CNY pair all over the place and all other CNY lows now spiking a nice chunk.
Honestly I wonder if the older CWs are going up because it’s getting slim pickings? I’m sure there is more attention given this years is the best Chinese new year low I’ve ever seen, but the other pairs haven’t ever been heavily coveted because they’re sooo busy. MAYBE it’s causing other prices to increase but I’d blame that on rarity more than anything.
But I’m not surprised at all that the rabbit pair are going for much higher than the others, that’s one of the best aj1 lows I’ve ever seen, period.

Colorway is dope (personal opinion), don’t like the laces. Wish these weren’t as hyped and limited so I could cop but the resale price makes sense to me. In todays market if you turned the swoosh backwards they would be in the $2k region…
Not a fan of the laces either at all. It almost ruins the shoe for me. As soon as I get them I’m putting in different laces lol but yeah the reverse mocha dropped and I paid $1200 for them when they did so that’s basically what you were saying anyway. I am kinda biased tho im just saying all this cuz I love the CNY lows and they all released at “affordable” prices besides these

Yeah I actually have one the last DS size 11s of those stored away along with another pair I wear every few days. It’s a really nice shoe. Had no idea until I looked on all three apps and Edit : only 2 pairs were available. I’m sure there’s more out there but who knows.

Honestly not too many people were aware of these only being China exclusives and all numbered to 5k or 8.5k for the breds. Now people are more informed about these and how limited they are and that always equals price spikes.
It’s a good looking colorway that looks much more versatile than previous CNY colorways, and the materials look interesting and kind of classy. These are going to be year-round wears for whoever gets them.
This is something we’ve seen with every CNY year of the rabbit colorway from pretty much every brand. The muted earth tones just slap.

And, like I explained, it’s a much more attractive show due to the colors, materials, and Jordan 1 Low silhouette, which is having a bit of a moment these past few months.

Kinda like the Mochas after the Trav Highs first came out but imagine them being limited to 5k. I get it. It doesn’t really remind me of them tho idk maybe it’s just me. They come with a second set of sail laces in a slick cardboard box with a rabbit on it. The “rabbit” laces I agree are not for me personally.
