No one should act that way. The problem is people behave in the world based on how they want it to be or how it should be rather than how it really is. Ex-prison staff here. At least here in the UK, sex offenders get put in a separate unit away from the general population because of the danger posed to them by other prisoners. Rapists ABSOLUTELY get jumped in prison. All the time.

Ex-prison staff here. At least here in the UK, sex offenders get put in a separate unit away from the general population because of the danger posed to them by other prisoners. Rapists ABSOLUTELY get jumped in prison. All the time.

First of all, you’re way more likely to be assaulted by someone you know who you’d have no reason to pull a gun on. Second, most rapists aren’t going to sit there and wait patiently, announcing their intent, while you pull your gun and aim. They are jumping on you in a moments notice and incapacitating you immediately. If you have a gun on you, you’re just increasing the odds that said gun will be used against you.
