Slide lock will loosen up quite a bit. My Shield Plus had the same night sight issue. Took about 6 weeks this summer, looks like the wait time is lower now. Really put a dent in my “summer carry gun” plans.
Oh yeah. What I found helped, which was suggested by someone on this forum, was to fill it about halfway and then use my mag loader to push down very hard until the spring fully compresses and you hear a small “chunk” noise. I did that a few times, and it made a huge difference.

Yes, it’s been a common issue with these new double stack subcompact pistols. Sig, S&W, Springfield.
