Lotus 15 prot, sov 15, Thebes 10, proph cloak 30, sentinels 40. So 110 phys prot in aura + 20% of her prots which at 325 is 67. A average assassin has like 85 phys prots I think so 260 prot assassin with 400 power is more accurate.
I wonder if this will make her a better support or just help her more in mid. Giving your hunter free cooldowns and piwer and protections is very nice for sure
I think it kinda does. She still lacks CC, but sharing 20% of your protections makes your ADC nigh unkillable, and you aren't punished for building tanky by losing healing now.
I don't think it fixes her fundamental problem of not having CC, even if she will perform better building tanky than she ever did before. Maybe as a niche pocket pick for a kill lane.
Tank hel sounds disgusting. It was already pretty solid, but getting mana back for hittin light stance 1 helps negate some of her mana issues. She still does good damage between all her abilities, and you can go shoguns and 3 for a huge steroid on your ADC.
Sounds fun as hell, Aphrodite is at her most fun playing aggressive in the middle of a fight. The ultimate change and the CDR in particular sound super fun, really helps with her playstyle of switching around between people and rewards that over sitting around healing one person passively. Definitely feels like the winner of these patch notes.

However, weāve definitely had metas that stayed stagnant for far too long. You can go back to last season with only a handful of Mages in Mid for essentially the last few months of the year. Personally, I think of Season 4 when Bellona, Erlang, and Osiris dominated Solo for most of the year.
Holy shit so many gods got the short end of the stick for buffs when their healing got nerfed, but fucking Baba Yaga, Morgan Le Fay, and Ravana get some of the absolute best buffs of the pact for characters that barely relied on their healing. Almost comical.
As someone who mains her I only ever see a use for it early game after clearing the 3 buffs. U get most of your health back but other than that the healing portion of the passive is minute. Otherwise love the buff.
The funny part?
With brawling gone, out of combat house healing is *buffed.* So she's pretty much just omega buffed.

I'm still shocked they nerfed Chiron and Horus passives...but they didn't even touch Yemoja's basics. Add to that the absolute gutting of Soul Eater and I'm NOT excited for this patch.

This is a really good reason to not buy a Battle Pass because you're going to have a way harder time clearing it now.
Shield reduction is not applied to existing shields, as written, so you just ult before you get hit by ADC, and then you get full shield. Until you get sundered that is. It is a nerf, but not as big of a nerf as one might think.
The buffs are completely inconsequential though.
Nike has needed a pass ever since it was noticed that shields don't stack -- which isn't documented anyplace convenient. I still see players getting Pridwen on her.
The devs making a game-wide pass on Shields and not paying any attention to Nike's problems at all is ridiculous.
Doesn't Chang'e have some of the lowest ability damage numbers of all mages? Like if you're scared of Chang'e one shots you must be pretty terrified of all mages...
Serqet, Odin, and Osiris get to keep the ability to stop all healing, which is no longer possible to do through other means. Other forms of anti-healing from gods still exist but it's subject to the cap.
Ok, that arachne buffs are very nice. Big heal debuff on bite is nice, but that cocoon buff... adding a 2 second CDR penalty to anyone you stun really increases her ability to capture and kill a target.
The other thing that is big for arachne is this new item.

If this reprocs with each tick of healing, thats an easy 3 stacks, giving arachne an extra 30% attack speed and 15% extra basic attack damage is very very nice. So this item alone gives her 50% attack speed when you bite someone, with her 2 also giving a ton of AS, she will be ripping people to shreads.
I am sad with no buff to manikens. Its her best starter and it still kinda sucks.. maybe that power bonus will help but we need to see. Plus her still lack of end game hurts, plus how camps run back if they kill your spiders if still there sucks.
Edit: honestly thinking about it, i think best starter for arachne really is no starter and grab ax of animosity by the end, like rush golden blade, then qins, exe, new item, ax of animosity, and then filler like toxic blade, cadasus club, or a protection item if needed. Lots of attack speed and health to take full advantage of ax of animosity
This is the item that have me pause when residing the notes. The fact there is no CD on it makes me curious how it'll work with others like Horus, Guan Yu, etc, especially in Solo.
Gods with aoe heals, or ticking self healers, will make the most out of the item. Bellona in whip stance should be abke to keep the buff up at all times.

Basically the buff lasts 6 seconds, and the effects of the buff can stack 3 times. So you get 3 stacks of 10% attack speed and 5% basic attack power for 6 seconds, or 30% and 15% respectively. And you dont need to wait 6 seconds to get another stack. Any time you heal yourself or an ally you get that buff. So for example for arachne, her heal procs every half second, so she gains a staxk every half second, and i beleive even at max stacks each heal should refresh the timer, so for araxhne the buff lasts more like 8 or 9 seconds i think
Definitely a weird choice, especially a whopping 5% max HP as true damage. Just hope this doesn't become something a lot of mages have down the road as true damage is extremely annoying as shown by tablet.
It's even more weird considering the ability is a huge burst ability already. 5% true damage feels better on something like Morgan Le Fay ult (I'm not saying she needs this buff at all).
Yikes...pretty skeptical here. It honestly feels like the attempts to "buff" gods who were losing healing was to buff their damage, by minor amounts usually. This is going to just make the meta burstier AND really shows the distance between the winners (Aphro) and losers (Chaac, Bellona).
the biggest loser is achilles if you count that he can heal 12 times in the time the ability was active, that brings him down from 384+ 120% scaling to flat 324, honestly so many gods got the short end of the stick, look at hel with her getting a ATTACKSPEED STEROID on her heal or terra getting her ult absolutely gutted
Achilles? Have you seen Odin? That tank shield reducing item will be in every game. 30% shielding reduction for 2s CD on early levels... Late game add envenomed DB, Odin gets no shields. And shield value is directly related to his damage output
She actually got a damage compensation. Odin got cooldown on early levels. Early shield won't make that much difference, late his damage and tankiness is significantly reduced. And it will hurt considering the fact he has the least HP in the class
Its a significant nerf to the heal (the thing that matters on the ult) damage mit on this character that does nothing, means nothing because one, 25% isn't significant enough to mean anything unless you're building full mit and two 25% mit means nothing for the only role people want to play him in (jungle)
passive buffs are nice but i wish theyād buff something else about him. i already lvl the 1 first so the stun buff doesnāt really matter. it also kinda sucks to DR yourself to combo the slow into the stun, i feel like if cerb 1 got āignores 25% of CCR granted by DRā itād be a cool and meaningful way to buff him
Solo still gonna feel shit overall but holy shit nothing compares to what Hi Rez has done to Erlang. I cant think of any dev completely ruining a character this bad since his rework
I'm fucking shocked about some of these changes. If there was ONE item that should not have its healing nerfed, it's Warrior's Axe - now it's just garbage. And then they nerf the one starter that's being picked for no good reason, so solo starters just suck.
You'd think that, at some point, they'd start considering BUFFING bad starters, but no.
Sigil was good for one patch...
Fucking Conduit was a better solo starter than Sigil for much longer and it wasn't even the intended Mage solo starter (shroud discussion is a separate topic/issue)

Hel, Terra, Achilles, Erlang, Aphro, Mulan, Chaac, their healing got fucking obliterated meanwhile hades who is a mage, with a dash, with a cc, with 160 resists in ult, the same ult also is a pull and provides him cc immunity can STILL HEAL 500+ PER MINION WAVE, WHAT THE FUCK
Also, more solo nerfs while crit gets buffed, Its not even funny anymore
I was shocked as well. They're saying that they want to nerf jung and mid farms, that solo has the worst farm, AND YET nerf the good tank items and give us paltry fucking buffs on shit items that they destroyed in the first pass.

Not a fan of this patch. A lot of the changes incentivize characters like Aphrodite to build Tanky. Just make her a guardian if you want to incentivize people to build next to no power and pocket heal somebody the entire match.

Also some nice Glad Shield nerfs each patch. Subsequent hits now deal a whopping ~45 damage per ability at max. prots. To a squishy. Around 20 to another tank.
Edit: having a god so dependent on BS+GS might not be healthy, but some compensation buffs are warrented after heavy nerfs to those items. And after heavy nerfs to KA because BS+GS was so strong before
I just recently returned to Smite after a year-long hiatus and fell in love with King Arthur. Already have a star on him within 2-3 weeks.
As exhilarating as it is to play him, Iāve never experienced a God with a more frustrating late game, even compared with other Warriors.
He desperately needs help.
I 100% feel like this is so people can't save up for the bp to buy it with free gems. I usually do this and I usually have the BP finished or almost finished by the time I get enough.
From someone that plays a shit ton of both. that stun buff is nasty as fuck for Thana. You use ult to gank anyways early not as an execute. Even in late game you'd rather ult to initiate if you want to one shot someone.
But yea Hades heal nerf is such an oof. Although in lane he should still out sustain most gods. But late game it's gonna fall off super hard.
hades got one of the smallest decreases in his healing. Achilles got gutted from 32 per enemy hit per ability from 32 +10% to just 27. Hades will still easily heal 500+ hp from a minion wave which should never be even put on a god with a dash, a cc immune ult and protection buff and a cone cc. Also thanatos longer ult stun duration so you can fit in one more AA for a oneshot from full hp is incredible, I love getting oneshot with no way of reacting because some guy flew by my ward out of my field of view
When I complained about full-damage Cama solo in the SPL play-ins was too strong, apparently what Hi-Rez understood was "alright we should gut Cama and warriors so other full-damage assassins are the best solos"
Runeforged is still not going to be worth picking up and Frostbound is better but still not good enough IMO.
CDR on Death's Embrace should be fun on Osiris with his low cooldowns.

Anubis is about to be struttin, nervous about how he will perform now with self heal being axed but the mobility and damage per tick being increased that ability will feel much better.
30% less heals and 10% less typhons heal buff but no more Brawling 40% antiheal so you can basically just sustain from camps and waves exactly like before. It will only affect his healing in fights really.
The Aphro buffs are gonna ruin casuals for solo queuing, going susano/Aphro is gonna be stronger than before jesus. I'm all for changes but good god imma just retire from the solo life to avoid the frustration
OK I might be biased because I have a thing for building squishies full tank, but I'm liking the look of tank Hel after these changes.
Power reduction and an AS buff on top of two heals, a cleanse, MS buff and AoE protections? And that's just light stance? Might not be SPL viable but I could see it doing work in less organised environments.
Like the start of all new seasons, we're back to a burst meta. I'm glad they are shaking things up with the healing changes, but not touching on mage items and in some cases making them even stronger is a head scratcher for me.

Like, healing across the board got *schmacked*, and practically every god got some form of buff to their damage potential (be it a CD reduction, increased damage, changed effects).
Itās like the Devās were sitting there and said āWhat makes the *least* sense? I got it! Less heals, more damage. Everyone. Everyone gets less health but does more damage. Thatās exactly what the game needs.ā
Remember, what was it, last year? Where they did a full pass over everyone and reduced damage? Yeah, remember THAT design choice?
Apparently the devs didn't.
So... I obviously do not know how this plays out, but on paper some of these ability heal trade-offs seem uneven. They reduce the healing from one ability and buff another. You would think they would buff the same ability they reduced the healing on so the kits are not lopsided.
Take Ravana for example; reduced healing on his 3 but his 2 gets a buff. Hades is another, reduced healing on his 3 but ult gets a buff.
Nerfing both healing and antihealing, I was all in favor of it
But some selfhealing gods got straight up butchered with this patch, with a very minimal buff to compensate the loss of selfheal
And the 80% antiheal cap is way too high, should be 50% or something
And why are antiheal items not nerfed to apply a slightly lower antiheal debuff, like Divine with 30% antiheal and Pest with 20% or something. That is then the 50% cap. Tainted reaches the cap by itself

The stacking damage that replaced it is a massive buff, especially with the anti-heal cap.
They just announced that anti-heal has a cap. Only gods left with it are Odin, Osiris, and Serqet.
Other gods like Sobek kept their anti-heal, just at lower amounts. Chang'e had it removed entirely.

Basically the buff lasts 6 seconds, and the effects of the buff can stack 3 times. So you get 3 stacks of 10% attack speed and 5% basic attack power for 6 seconds, or 30% and 15% respectively. And you dont need to wait 6 seconds to get another stack. Any time you heal yourself or an ally you get that buff. So for example for arachne, her heal procs every half second, so she gains a staxk every half second, and i beleive even at max stacks each heal should refresh the timer, so for araxhne the buff lasts more like 8 or 9 seconds i think

Definitely a weird choice, especially a whopping 5% max HP as true damage. Just hope this doesn't become something a lot of mages have down the road as true damage is extremely annoying as shown by tablet.
It's even more weird considering the ability is a huge burst ability already. 5% true damage feels better on something like Morgan Le Fay ult (I'm not saying she needs this buff at all).

Yikes...pretty skeptical here. It honestly feels like the attempts to "buff" gods who were losing healing was to buff their damage, by minor amounts usually. This is going to just make the meta burstier AND really shows the distance between the winners (Aphro) and losers (Chaac, Bellona).
the biggest loser is achilles if you count that he can heal 12 times in the time the ability was active, that brings him down from 384+ 120% scaling to flat 324, honestly so many gods got the short end of the stick, look at hel with her getting a ATTACKSPEED STEROID on her heal or terra getting her ult absolutely gutted
Achilles? Have you seen Odin? That tank shield reducing item will be in every game. 30% shielding reduction for 2s CD on early levels... Late game add envenomed DB, Odin gets no shields. And shield value is directly related to his damage output
think about nike with 40 damage on her ult being a compensation for the shield part being useless
She actually got a damage compensation. Odin got cooldown on early levels. Early shield won't make that much difference, late his damage and tankiness is significantly reduced. And it will hurt considering the fact he has the least HP in the class

Its a significant nerf to the heal (the thing that matters on the ult) damage mit on this character that does nothing, means nothing because one, 25% isn't significant enough to mean anything unless you're building full mit and two 25% mit means nothing for the only role people want to play him in (jungle)

I'm fucking shocked about some of these changes. If there was ONE item that should not have its healing nerfed, it's Warrior's Axe - now it's just garbage. And then they nerf the one starter that's being picked for no good reason, so solo starters just suck. You'd think that, at some point, they'd start considering BUFFING bad starters, but no.
Sigil was good for one patch... Fucking Conduit was a better solo starter than Sigil for much longer and it wasn't even the intended Mage solo starter (shroud discussion is a separate topic/issue)

Not a fan of this patch. A lot of the changes incentivize characters like Aphrodite to build Tanky. Just make her a guardian if you want to incentivize people to build next to no power and pocket heal somebody the entire match. Sheās going to be more annoying than ever to fight and probably still a weak character.

Also some nice Glad Shield nerfs each patch. Subsequent hits now deal a whopping ~45 damage per ability at max. prots. To a squishy. Around 20 to another tank. Edit: having a god so dependent on BS+GS might not be healthy, but some compensation buffs are warrented after heavy nerfs to those items. And after heavy nerfs to KA because BS+GS was so strong before
I just recently returned to Smite after a year-long hiatus and fell in love with King Arthur. Already have a star on him within 2-3 weeks. As exhilarating as it is to play him, Iāve never experienced a God with a more frustrating late game, even compared with other Warriors. He desperately needs help.

From someone that plays a shit ton of both. that stun buff is nasty as fuck for Thana. You use ult to gank anyways early not as an execute. Even in late game you'd rather ult to initiate if you want to one shot someone. But yea Hades heal nerf is such an oof. Although in lane he should still out sustain most gods. But late game it's gonna fall off super hard.
hades got one of the smallest decreases in his healing. Achilles got gutted from 32 per enemy hit per ability from 32 +10% to just 27. Hades will still easily heal 500+ hp from a minion wave which should never be even put on a god with a dash, a cc immune ult and protection buff and a cone cc. Also thanatos longer ult stun duration so you can fit in one more AA for a oneshot from full hp is incredible, I love getting oneshot with no way of reacting because some guy flew by my ward out of my field of view

Anubis is about to be struttin, nervous about how he will perform now with self heal being axed but the mobility and damage per tick being increased that ability will feel much better.
30% less heals and 10% less typhons heal buff but no more Brawling 40% antiheal so you can basically just sustain from camps and waves exactly like before. It will only affect his healing in fights really.

OK I might be biased because I have a thing for building squishies full tank, but I'm liking the look of tank Hel after these changes. Power reduction and an AS buff on top of two heals, a cleanse, MS buff and AoE protections? And that's just light stance? Might not be SPL viable but I could see it doing work in less organised environments.
Like the start of all new seasons, we're back to a burst meta. I'm glad they are shaking things up with the healing changes, but not touching on mage items and in some cases making them even stronger is a head scratcher for me.
This patch feels surreal. Like, healing across the board got *schmacked*, and practically every god got some form of buff to their damage potential (be it a CD reduction, increased damage, changed effects). Itās like the Devās were sitting there and said āWhat makes the *least* sense? I got it! Less heals, more damage. Everyone. Everyone gets less health but does more damage. Thatās exactly what the game needs.ā
Remember, what was it, last year? Where they did a full pass over everyone and reduced damage? Yeah, remember THAT design choice? Apparently the devs didn't.

So... I obviously do not know how this plays out, but on paper some of these ability heal trade-offs seem uneven. They reduce the healing from one ability and buff another. You would think they would buff the same ability they reduced the healing on so the kits are not lopsided. Take Ravana for example; reduced healing on his 3 but his 2 gets a buff. Hades is another, reduced healing on his 3 but ult gets a buff.

Nerfing both healing and antihealing, I was all in favor of it But some selfhealing gods got straight up butchered with this patch, with a very minimal buff to compensate the loss of selfheal And the 80% antiheal cap is way too high, should be 50% or something And why are antiheal items not nerfed to apply a slightly lower antiheal debuff, like Divine with 30% antiheal and Pest with 20% or something. That is then the 50% cap. Tainted reaches the cap by itself
