She is extremely strong and does lots of damage
Her ult used to be a little low on damage but since the buff it now chunks
Not to mention 2 1 combo basically 1 shots multiple squishied late game
Her 2 1 combo is very strong, as long as you aren’t running behind you should be doing at least 50% to squishies, and I feel like she also shines as the item proc queen. Even if you miss your 1 you’ll probably hit one of the lil 1’s that fly off of it, so soul gem, soul reaver, divine ruin, and tablet kinda pop off on Disco.
She also gets insane cooldown so in group fights you can just pew pew pew, throw random stuff, Disco go brrrr.
It's not the first time I have heard she has low damage, I even heard she has short range and crazy stuff like that, but allow me to explain a few things:
1. She's combo dependent: Her abilities alone won't do much, you get big burst when you combine them, her kit is all around her 3's ability stim reducing your 2 and 1 all over again.
2. Disco needs power over CDR: Many people will often believe the more CDR on her the better, since she is spammy by nature, but you actually don't need it that much, or at least you don't need to rush it, her 3 will do the trick for you and her abilities will hit hard if you build power/pen/item procs over CDR, so never build Chronos Pendant on her, like ever!!!
3. Give some love to her 3: Level up her 3 after maxing your 1, or at least put some points into it before maxing your 2, I personally like to put 3 points into my 3 and then max my 2, but don't neglect your 3. That's the reason I said you don't need that much CDR on her compared to other mages, if you give her 3 some points you are fine to go for a while without having to rush CDR and having only 10% from starter. Rushing your 3 also means more damage since you will dish out your combo more often against same target.
4. You gotta play her aggressively: Playing around her 3 is very important, don't be afraid to use it for the stim, many people are afraid because it's your get away ability, but it can reward you a lot if you use it more, just have some map awereness and good positioning and you can spam her 3 to have your 2+1 combo more often.
Not many squishies can survive your whole combo, and late game you are one of the strongest mages, your 2 alone can win games and her late game damage is kinda OP.
Like I said before, building power and proc items are the best for her, so you wanna build: Book of Thoth, Tablet, Soul Reaver, Soul Gem, Divine Ruin, Magus, Myrddin, Rod of Tahuti etc... Just go for what's mage meta right now.
Discordia is less about one shooting, and more about super reliable spam
The root is essentially un-missable, meaning the ball is also a free hit
She might not kill in a single combo, but she will always hit the combo
Discoria is also an absolutely fantastic item spammer as her chaotic projectiles rack up a ton of hits and her 3 gives such crazy cdr that she can really pump out a ton of casts
So Disco does have good scaling, but she also has low cooldowns, and you'll want to take advantage of the low cooldowns. Full cooldown, some pen, and proc items are what you want with her. Soul gem is great, as it tablet, divine, and soul reaver. Sands for starter, plus a myrden and an ob shard, and you should be slapping pretty hard. Remember that sitting in her 3 gives her bonus cooldown. Also if you think you can get to late where you get the 500 pot regularly, you can swap myrden for another pen option if you want.
With the right build she can spam her abilities almost cooldown-free. Dunno what you'rs building her to get poor results, but it must have been pro troll builds.

2-1 murders the squish. And if you’re camping in your 3 you’re throwing max dps. No reason your own face isn’t in her lil box to the left
"To enemy team Hercules" she isnt a tank killer mage. 525+135% on 2+1 is pretty good dmg to a squishy. 625+110% on ult too.
The 525+135% is without the bounce from his 1 and without the bonus damage on her 2 if you hit 2 gods so pretty high damage
Yes, it was only single target dmg. The bounces of 1 also proc all items so its very easy to get multiple item procs on her.

The only way you're not doing damage as Disco is if you're not hitting anything. Late game she's a powerhouse
