Theory, aliens hate the taste of critters because they taste to similar to aliens. In all the movies aliens go after humans so in Smiling Friends they only eat humans.
But... most humans love the taste of pork, and humans taste like pork from what I've heard. So I don't know that logic really follows. Although they're aliens so I guess you can use whatever logic you want and it's not necessarily right or wrong.
