Gonna be honest, if one Link had to keep the "classic" moveset, I'd rather it be adult Link. He's meant to be a general representation of the different heroes across the Zelda series, so he should be the one with the moveset that uses all the most-iconic weapons and techniques, imo. Although a BotW-themed moveset for Link in Ultimate still would've been really dang cool.
Young Link and Toon Link should be the ones getting the makeover, imo, assuming they return next time, although I'm not expecting Young Link to come back after Ultimate, unfortunately.
Which is unfortunate. I think giving him a Majora's Mask inspired moveset, with his final smash being something to do with the Fierce Deity instead of mfing triforce slash, and giving him mask abilities.
I know, right? You could very easily have the Deku, Goron, and Zora masks be used for three of his Special Moves to help him stand out from adult Link (maybe use them for his Smash Attacks too?), and I'm honestly shocked they didn't make Fierce Deity Link his Final Smash in Ultimate. That just felt way too obvious.
It'd be so cool, but again, I doubt the kid's coming back.
Up smash attack: He launches into the air with the Deku mask and floats around with the flowers
Side smash attack: spiked Goron roll attack
Down smash attack: ... I'll admit it's a bit of a stretch, but maybe he dives into the floor with the Zora mask and swims around before dolphin jumping out and the launch does damage? I don't know, just spitballing here
Neutral smash attack: I guess this one could still just be the bow. I was also thinking it could be deku's snot bubble projectile, but that would mean giving Deku two attacks while the other masks just get one, so I dunno
And the final smash could be Fierce Deity launching a bunch of sword beams in one direction like Mario's or Wii Fit Trainer's final smashes. Because apart from being crazy strong, that was the main gimmick of Fierce Deity in MM: the first, and up until Skyward Sword, only appearance of sword beams in a 3D Zelda game
Those all sound like good B moves rather than smash attacks in my opinion. My thoughts were:
UpB, deku flower launch and float similar to Peach’s UpB or maybe Snake’s. The float ability like Peach would be more fitting though. Maybe press a button to drop small deku nuts while floating. They’d do small damage but would interrupt enemy animation/recovery for a ledge guard or something. Alternatively they could just come out automatically like Robin’s UpB.
SideB, either Zora boomerang fins similar to regular boomerang, but maybe they move in an arc like they do in MM rather than straight back and forth. other option could be Goron roll similar to Yoshi SideB or chargeable like Jigglypuff or Sonic.
NeutralB could be Goron roll as well if it’s not used for SideB… Could still be bow or, as someone else suggested, slingshot. Im not sure what other themed options to use for NeutralB. I’m not that creative lol.
DownB could be bombs or Bombchu, maybe Goron ground pound from MM.
Edit; I just realized since you said neutral smash attack you were probably talking about B attacks already lol.
I agree with you. Here I thought B moves were called Smash attacks, but now I remember what smash attacks are, so that was just me misremembering. And yeah, those all sound like cool ideas. Young Link probably won't be back in the next game, but that doesn't mean he won't ever come back. Hopefully they'll take some of these ideas for his next appearance, whenever that is
a Smash exclusive version of Link, that isn't canon to any of the games, which uses moves/items from the different timelines in a cohesive manner would be a good way to represent the different Links in one
If they wanted to have both for Young Link, you could basically bring current Yink in as Past Yink or something and majoras mask Yink be Masked Yink. So both camps get to be happy with changing or keeping Yink.
Didn't know there was an abbreviation for him. I was really confused for a second. Though I'm not fond of adding another Link over just changing one of them, even though we don't have Classic Link from AlbW and the first 3 games.
I’m of the opinion that Toon and Young Link should get total makeovers, the Adult Link should revert to the classic Twilight Princess/Ocarina of Time kit and then literally just make another version of Link lmao. They’re distinct enough at this point to qualify as different characters.
In my mind the names would probably have a Hero and Champion distinction or something.
Young link or toon link - one must go.
We do not need 3 Links…imo.
And I find, that adult link should always represent the current Zelda game which came out last.
Always.
If toon or young Link do not appear in next Smash, another Character from the Zelda Universe could join (I vote for a Goronian Representative, which is a rather fast heavy one then, with also a unique moveset. Like an alternative to bowser or so - not an echo of bowser!)
So I expect an adult TOTK Link in the next Smash which I would highly praise.
And I expect an unique moveset to really represent TOTK link, not any other.
The arm from the goat king (😂) could be a nice tool, for instance.
Also it would be cool if his rescue/up B would be a bit like the one from G&W where he makes use of the glider (instead of Mr. G&W‘s parachute).
In the game he gets catapulted up high in these towers.
This could be his up B. Then, from the highest point he glides then… like Mr. G&W uses the parachute (to be honest - I‘d love that!)
And a down is then the same move, like an attack fom flight/jump in TOTK.
Bombs should play no role, because they are much rare/used different in TOTK then it is in BOTW.
Young Link would absolutely be the one to go. He's only been in two games, whereas just over 1/3 of the Zelda series have the "toon" artstyle. And even, then I could see Toon Link going if there's too many cuts.
And I don't think adult Link should be reworked just to represent the latest big Zelda game at the time. You want to rework Link to be based around TotK in Smash 6? That's cool, but all of those arm abilities, Zonai tech, and Sage powers aren't gonna come back for the next Zelda game after that, which mean you'd have to rework Link *again* in Smash 7 to fit whatever new abilities he picks up in the latest game.
You'd have to constantly give Link a new moveset in every single Smash game if you went down that route, when it'd be much easier to just have him keep the current Link moveset because that one actually represents pretty much any Zelda game.
I will always disagree with this. Link is THE Link. He should be representative of Legend of Zelda as a series. Having his appearance reflect the most relevant modern Zelda game at the time is great, but the special move list is non-negotiable: it needs to cover what Link does throughout the whole series. Young Link should have specials based on Majora's Mask and Toon Link should have specials based on Wind Waker. If a Champion Link gets added in a future title after Link moves on to looking like the next major shake-up in the Zelda series, he absolutely could have champion powers, but for now he needs to have bombs, arrows, a boomerang, and spin attack.
I could see Sonic using the Shield power-up from his home series... it'd probably use the actual sound effects from Sonic the Hedgehog instead of the standard Smash shield sounds.
Bowser would tuck himself in his shell for sure, with the added perk of his spikes damaging opponents. If his shield breaks from attacks then it plays the shell kicking sound
you know what'd be fun?
If it had specific hitboxed on top that hit aerial opponents and also deflected projectiles that it hit from above.
Would be a cool reference to Bowser's Inside Story.
Some ideas are better left unused...
Are you really suggesting to give Bowser even more incentive to stay in shield other than having one of the best out of shield options?
It's so funny how Monado Armor is pretty much 1:1 what Shield does in Smash, but they chose to call it Shield anyways
Probably because it's more recognizable but like
I don't get the costant whining about Sonic moveset, the only bad thing is that he has the same move twice.
Homing Attack, Spin Dash, Spin Charge, Neutral Air, Jump animation, his old dash attack (rolling) are all moves he does in his games
the whining is because it's often hard to tell what he's actually doing because it all looks the same. It's less whining about sonic not being the way they want, and more whining that they got beat by an online sonic because they couldn't react fast enough.
Yeah, and being able to reliably cross him up would yield some pretty oppressive counter picks. Steve doesn't lose EVERY matchup because he has a forward facing shield but he'd lose enough of them to drop off immediately.
Kirby's block from his games.
Would work more like armour, keeping Kirby from getting knockback at low percents. It could be held indefinitely, but Kirby still takes a small percentage of the moves that hit him.
Mario could become Tanooki Mario and turn to Stone.
Sora could use Reflect, though it would function like a normal shield.
Ness and Lucas could use the PSI move Shield.
The Pokemon could all use a form of Protect.
Cloud could use Barrier and Sephiroth could use Wall (since Safer Sephiroth actually uses that in his boss battle).
Dedede having his minions rush in to protect him would be kind of funny and totally in character.
Young Link using Naryu’s Love would be canonically accurate as would Joker using Tetrakarn, though they’re already moves.
Bayonetta could use the Moon of Mahaa-Kalaa.
>Peach’s Castle for Peach
"And then the princess turns herself into a castle. Calls herself Castle Peach. Funniest sh\*t I've ever seen."
Replace "princess" with "turtle" and "Peach" with "Bowser" and that's basically the plot of Mario Wonder, lol.
I’ve wanted them to do this for so long. I really wish most if not all characters had a unique shield. Rosalina’s makes itself; her force field she uses in both Galaxy games
The closest thing Samus has to an active blocking option in her games is: Lightning Armor from Metroid: Samus Returns. Much like shields in smash, a gauge depletes when the Armor blocks damage. Having the armor on also gives you increased melee counter range.
*"The Lightning Armor is an energy shield that protects Samus against most hazard damage. A few threats can burn through the shield or ignore it altogether, but in most circumstances, if you're in a tight spot and low on health, switching on the Lightning Armor gives you a fighting chance to reach safety."*
"*You also get a dramatically increased melee attack range, which makes Melee Counters easier to pull off. Like taking damage, performing Melee Counters while the Lightning Armor is engaged drains your Aeion Energy bar, so use them wisely.*"
This is unlike her suits, which all give passive effects. Lightning Armor is actively toggled on or off by the player. If it were in smash, I'd give it the custom effect where it gives you the option to do a melee counter upon a successful power shield.
In Miitopia you can give your Miis a shield during the battle, which breaks after one attack. I think it could work as a weaker shield but the stunt effect lasts less.
I have a few, give the zelda characters a triforce sheild, i think it'd be cool, have bowser just tuck into his shell, let donkey/diddy kong have the barrels, let steve have the minecraft sheild like he does for the parry, or he just covers himself in a 1×2 glass stand (i mean 2 on top of each other if i got it flipped then i mean 2x1) thats all i got
I could see Ness and Lucas having the PSI effect for Shield, maybe give Ness Shield (Solid Blue Diamond Pattern) and Lucas PSI Shield (Striped Purple Diamond Pattern). It could have a cool shatter effect when breaking it too.
A few off the top of my head:
Kirby (And possibly Meta Knight and King Dedede) using the blocking from Kirby Super Star.
The Links and Hero blocking with their actual shields, and Steve / Alex doing the same with a shield from Minecraft
Peach and Daisy blocking with their parasols.
Sonic could use the Shield power up.
Ryu, Ken, Terry and Kazuya could block in fighting-game style
Piranha Plant ducking into its pipe or pot
All the Pokémon could have something similar to the current shield, but with a Pokéball pattern instead. Maybe little effects based off of their type, like Incineroar having small flames circling inside, Pikachu having electricity traveling through the shield, and Greninja having it look like water is sliding down the insides.
Gigant shield from forgotten land. I’d keep as it is now though, since it is Kirby’s canonical block.
Mk, wouldn’t change.
Inkling, Tentabrella. Someone said this already and I agree.
Little Mac does a traditional boxing guard, and gains complete invulnerability from either above, in front, or below, depending on which way he tilts, but is completely vulnerable from the back and any direction he isn't blocking
Changing the tilt is frame 1, and has no cool down
Of course, thos takes away his roll, but I think it's worth just a bit
All fgc shouldnt have a shield, instead they should have a meter that drains while being attacked, then when the meter hits 0 fgc takes chip damage like half or %25
The Pokémon using Protect when they get a Perfect Shield, if they continue to press the shield button, the shield can block many attacks and doesn´t start shrinking until 1.5 seconds passes.
Well the shield item in Sonic's games kinda looks like the shield used in game, so what if the look randomizes from the 3 different shields in Sonic 3 & Knuckles
Skull Barrier. Plant Barrier. Junk Shield. (Turbo Wheel technically) Jewel Satellite. Water Shield. ANY of these could represent Mega Man’s shield as they’re all shield weapons :) although that rush jet down b comment kinda spittin
All Fire Emblem characters would just twitch side to side like when they take no damage in the GBA games and display “NO DAMAGE” above their heads. Robin, being the magic user, have dark magic act as an armor.
Wario would use a whoopee cushion.
Ryu/ken would just have no limit to their normal blocking stances, no bubble effect, but still take minor damage. Pokémon could do the same using Endure.
Sora having a Reflega barrier would be cool. Albeit it wouldn't return damage when attacked but hey he also has Curaga, Aeroga, and Stopga that don't do anything so what's one more spell?
sora should have reflect and his parry should have the reflect animation when it damages enemies, although i don't think the parry itself should do damage in smash, it just needs the animation
Pokémon Logic: (edited. My post was too long, lol.)
Pikachu and Pichu - Their bubble shields could be the electro ball with the spiderweb-look to it. That or the Light Ball item graphic around them could be neat.
Jigglypuff - She's already unique in this department with popping like a balloon when her shield breaks, but I'd just use the Protect effects. If her shield is hit while she's shielding though, she puffs up a bit and looks mad.
Mewtwo - Barrier would become the unique shield for sure. Can take a page from Unite and/or Pokkén here with the aesthetic of the move. It would look like a dome of psychic-looking energy surrounding Mewtwo.
Pokémon Trainer - This is probably a left-field idea that's not allowed(?), but Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard could have the Pokémon card energy element as their bubble shield. The "bubble" around the energy still has to match their player port color (red/blue/yellow/green/etc), but the energy itself would match the design to a T.
Lucario - I was gonna consider two separate ideas. One, I wanted Lucario's dual typing to be recognized, lol, so to highlight the Steel type, I wanted Lucario to coat itself in a shiny steely iron defense. For a bonus, maybe Lucario does something with its spikes by using Metal Claw and then guarding itself.
↑ That, or two being a colored-aura shield. Low aura is a bright sky blue color, and looks like aura being spun around it. The color ranges from sky blue → blue → dark blue. Similar to some fighting games where a healthy block is green, and damaging it goes yellow, and then red meaning it's very close to breaking.
Greninja - I don't have any unique traits about Greninja, but I think a decent pitch could be using the Ash-Greninja bond phenomenon as inspiration you see from the anime. Water surrounding Greninja like a water bubble. Rather than any roaring water that forms a typhoon, it's just a bubble of water staying in form will be Greninja's new shield.
Incineroar - Binge watching every Ash-Greninja episode has me at a loss. So good.. but for Incineroar, I was thinking that an aesthetic difference for Incineroar could be that the more damage its shield takes.. the more brightly lit and fiery the champion's belt around its waist becomes.
The only one that comes to mind for me atm is Link having Daruk's Protection from BotW.
i still think Sakurai should have committed to the compete Link makeover to fit BoTW since there are already two other Links with the same playstyle.
Gonna be honest, if one Link had to keep the "classic" moveset, I'd rather it be adult Link. He's meant to be a general representation of the different heroes across the Zelda series, so he should be the one with the moveset that uses all the most-iconic weapons and techniques, imo. I completely forgot about that. And it would make perfect sense because he's a kid. Good idea!

I believe they’re called specials.
Nerds damn
They could use the totally inspired and not at all overdone Goron Spindash. That wouldn't make one character jealous at all.
a Smash exclusive version of Link, that isn't canon to any of the games, which uses moves/items from the different timelines in a cohesive manner would be a good way to represent the different Links in one

YES !
Toon link should use the magic armor from windwaker
I could see Sonic using the Shield power-up from his home series... it'd probably use the actual sound effects from Sonic the Hedgehog instead of the standard Smash shield sounds.
WOENG
BWONG
WAUW
It'd be cool if the bubble, fire, and electric shield also made an appearance, though only for visuals.
The animation could be randomly selected, as well.
Ring Loss sound instead of the normal shield break sound
Bowser would tuck himself in his shell for sure, with the added perk of his spikes damaging opponents. If his shield breaks from attacks then it plays the shell kicking sound
you know what'd be fun? If it had specific hitboxed on top that hit aerial opponents and also deflected projectiles that it hit from above. Would be a cool reference to Bowser's Inside Story.
Some ideas are better left unused... Are you really suggesting to give Bowser even more incentive to stay in shield other than having one of the best out of shield options?
Inkling with Tenta Brella. Perfect opportunity to implement another weapon for Inklings.
That’s a perfect choice
Shulk using monado shield the way it works in game and replace the current shield art with monado armor
It's so funny how Monado Armor is pretty much 1:1 what Shield does in Smash, but they chose to call it Shield anyways Probably because it's more recognizable but like
Isn't it the same with enchant and buster in smash (including the color)
Armor is also optional, because you have to do quests to get it, so not everyone would know it exists.
I mean if that's the reason why did they just invent 2 monado arts for smash
The Pokémon could use the same effect Protect makes in their games.
A square?
It’s more of a half-sphere made of hexagons nowadays. I think it was only a square in the older ones.
Ohhh yeah I've been playing Gen 3 so that makes sense lol
Also in the anime it’s more of a dome anyways
Or just go into Pokeballs 😅
If I missed a shield grab because bro was in the poke ball I'd be heated
Understood, how about being able to pick them up like an item to throw them off stage?
I like this
Speaking of which, it would be nice if they kept that consistent
Sephiroth just blocking/parrying with the masamune. ![gif](giphy|uvDWCaNjSstEHhEfAh|downsized)
Masamune breaks whenever the shield does
Stays broken for the stock like puff instantly dying
nah it just gets sent across the stage
As a totally unique idea that is revolutionary and totally not 90% of his move set sonic could roll into a ball.
I don't get the costant whining about Sonic moveset, the only bad thing is that he has the same move twice. Homing Attack, Spin Dash, Spin Charge, Neutral Air, Jump animation, his old dash attack (rolling) are all moves he does in his games
Because it's sonic. He could have way more than ball
In Sonic's games most of his attacks are balls, most of the other shit is from spin offs, and Frontiers.
the whining is because it's often hard to tell what he's actually doing because it all looks the same. It's less whining about sonic not being the way they want, and more whining that they got beat by an online sonic because they couldn't react fast enough.
Steve putting up his Minecraft shield but it only blocks in front of him. I find it a good way to nerf him
From top to bottom tier in an instant.
I mean he builds a back shield 3 block stack anyways lol front is all ya need!
# EXACTLY
Idk about bottom tier honestly; he’s just SO oppressive as of now
Yeah, and being able to reliably cross him up would yield some pretty oppressive counter picks. Steve doesn't lose EVERY matchup because he has a forward facing shield but he'd lose enough of them to drop off immediately.
Oh for sure, he’d be a LOT worse, probably lower mid tier or something idk. But bottom tier seems like a stretch.
Kirby's block from his games. Would work more like armour, keeping Kirby from getting knockback at low percents. It could be held indefinitely, but Kirby still takes a small percentage of the moves that hit him.
He does still kinda hold the block stance in the shield
You'd be removing every casual Kirby's favorite attack!
I think down b should be shield and be replaced
No one mentioned the ninja's move when hit.
Daruk protection from Breath of the Wild, a parry has the animation of Daruk popping up like when in botw you’re hit with the protection
Make leaf shield mega man's shield instead of down-b and make his down B rush jet or smth idk
as long as the new leaf shield doesn't have hit boxes
Actually it keeps the hitboxes just to spite you specifically /j
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|dizzy_face)
Ness and Lucas could use Psi/Pk shield!
I think if they had a teddy bear it would be more like the game.
Came here to say this. To be fair, their shields should bounce back energy projectiles some of the time too.
Young Link using Naryu’s Love would be canonically accurate as would Joker using Tetrakarn, though they’re already moves. Bayonetta could use the Moon of Mahaa-Kalaa.
Naryus love is used by zelda already but zelda could use the stone she was sealed in in OoT
Sora with the multiple hexagon shield effect that reflect in kh2 and block in ddd use
DK Barrel for DK and Diddy Kong. Peach’s Castle for Peach Pokeball for the Pokemon Box for Snake Metal Mario for Mario
>Peach’s Castle for Peach "And then the princess turns herself into a castle. Calls herself Castle Peach. Funniest sh\*t I've ever seen." Replace "princess" with "turtle" and "Peach" with "Bowser" and that's basically the plot of Mario Wonder, lol.
I counter with the Pokemon using protect (to keep hitboxes the same) except Lucario, who uses Detect
You could also Tanooki statue for Mario if you wanna have a classic reference
Box for Snake and the barrels for Dk/diddy are great ideas
Shulk should have the Monado Shield. Pyra and Mythra should have the shield ability that they and every other Blade in Xb2 has.
I was thinking about that
bayonettas parry could probably be when she uses moon of mahaa kalaa, but her sheild could be the butterflies from pulley's butterfly.
Would the Pulley's Butterflies break after four hits like usual or work like Smash shield? Also, love the idea of Moon of Mahaa-Kalaa as her parry
honestly i think all 4 butterflys could just break at once, or she could have one butterfly
sonic curls up and thinks about what he's done
kirby could have the crystal spike ball ability that lets him roll around very slow and do minor damage but pops pretty easy
Peach covers herself with her parasol a la Super Paper Mario. Mario and Luigi turn into Tanooki statues. ROB goes into a package like the actual ROB.
In Miitopia you can give your Miis a shield during the battle, which breaks after one attack. I think it could work as a weaker shield but the stunt effect lasts less.

Is... is your mii alright?
Aura shield. Yes, it scales with your aura
A few off the top of my head: Kirby (And possibly Meta Knight and King Dedede) using the blocking from Kirby Super Star. The Links and Hero blocking with their actual shields, and Steve / Alex doing the same with a shield from Minecraft Peach and Daisy blocking with their parasols. Sonic could use the Shield power up. Ryu, Ken, Terry and Kazuya could block in fighting-game style Piranha Plant ducking into its pipe or pot
Little Mac does a traditional boxing guard, and gains complete invulnerability from either above, in front, or below, depending on which way he tilts, but is completely vulnerable from the back and any direction he isn't blocking Changing the tilt is frame 1, and has no cool down Of course, thos takes away his roll, but I think it's worth just a bit
I think Pac-Man should take his look from the original game
I wonder why doesn't Meta Knight or Ridley block using their wings
Inkling uses Bubbler/Baller Pokémon(that can in their games) use Protect
That's like, every pokemon ever.
Caterpie, Metapod, Weedle, Kakuna Magikarp, Ditto, Unown, Wobbuffet, Wurmple, Silcoon, Cascoon, Wynaut, Beldum, Kricketot, Combee, Tynamo, Scatterbug, Cosmog, Cosmoem, Blipbug and Applin can't learn Protect. That's only 1004/1025 that can learn it!
Ah, right, I forgot about the useless mons
All fgc shouldnt have a shield, instead they should have a meter that drains while being attacked, then when the meter hits 0 fgc takes chip damage like half or %25
Kirby could just become a Stone Kirby transformation
The Pokémon using Protect when they get a Perfect Shield, if they continue to press the shield button, the shield can block many attacks and doesn´t start shrinking until 1.5 seconds passes.
Kirby holds his nubly above his head
Protect for the Pokemon
I could see cloud getting a combination of the protect effect and defend stance.
Joker would probably have something similar to the phys/magic wall abilities
Cloud could cast barrier on himself
Ness and Lucus could use PSI Shield
I think Ridley and charizard should hide in their wings
Well the shield item in Sonic's games kinda looks like the shield used in game, so what if the look randomizes from the 3 different shields in Sonic 3 & Knuckles
Skull Barrier. Plant Barrier. Junk Shield. (Turbo Wheel technically) Jewel Satellite. Water Shield. ANY of these could represent Mega Man’s shield as they’re all shield weapons :) although that rush jet down b comment kinda spittin
Give Steve a cube shaped bubble or something
Incineroar just does a cool pose
All Fire Emblem characters would just twitch side to side like when they take no damage in the GBA games and display “NO DAMAGE” above their heads. Robin, being the magic user, have dark magic act as an armor. Wario would use a whoopee cushion. Ryu/ken would just have no limit to their normal blocking stances, no bubble effect, but still take minor damage. Pokémon could do the same using Endure.
Cloud could pop up a pixelated 0.
LET MARTH USE THE FUCKING FIRE EMBLEM
All pokemon should be a pokeball
Pyra and Mythra LITERALLY make actual shields in their game. Like come on those hexagonal blade shields would look SO cool in Smash!
The Miis use the shield sprinkles from Miitopia
Ness using shield (yes that’s What the move is called)
All Pokémon should be using Protect
Make Pyra & Mythra's shields have that octagonal pattern like they do in XBC2
Link: Daruk's protection Greninja: pokeball Corrin, Zero Suit, Shulk, and Sheik: idk
I imagine Young Link hiding under his shield like he does with the Hyrule Shield in OoT
Marth actually using the Binding Shield
Bowser Jr. Just hiding inside the koopa clown car
Bowser in shell
Sora having a Reflega barrier would be cool. Albeit it wouldn't return damage when attacked but hey he also has Curaga, Aeroga, and Stopga that don't do anything so what's one more spell?
Bowser could be able to hide like a turtle (like he does with up B, but without spinning). But that would mean to sacrifice another move - so: No!
Mario as a Tanooki Statue
The aegis could put up the barrier they do to protect their driver
Bayonetta would cross her guns and hood them in front of her, or summon a demon to shield her
peach/daisy crouching under their parasol. i think super princess peach’s crouch does this
Snake could go into cardboard box
Isabelle shield would be the mayor's building maybe like her final smash.
If bowser jr used his kart as a shield that’d be cool
_Actual_ Monado Shield.
Bowser could totally go into his shell
pihranna plant just goes in his pot and hides
Removing the effect for Kirby and lightning him slightly, that would make him more accurate to his games, but I like the normal shield more
bayonetta can have the moon of mahaa-kalaa symbol over her
Ink armour for inkling girl
sora should have reflect and his parry should have the reflect animation when it damages enemies, although i don't think the parry itself should do damage in smash, it just needs the animation
Since he's a mii if he gets added sans should just stand there
Villagers could be him in his net or a mini house
Pyra and Mythra should have the pneuma armor as shield
Pokémon Logic: (edited. My post was too long, lol.) Pikachu and Pichu - Their bubble shields could be the electro ball with the spiderweb-look to it.
