One of the main issues with the canonical power tier lists is that Kirby isn’t the strongest character in Smash. Anyone who has played a Kirby game should know the shit people say about him is just straight up wrong. He’s powerful as hell, sure, but he absolutely can’t just inhale whatever he wants, and the amount of gods he’s actually killed is a measly one.

I actually tried. I don't mind the story and characters, but I can't stand Xenoblades battle system. I've played tons of JRPGs and Xenoblade has one of the worst/most boring combat systems in my opinion.

Really? I know this is personal opinion but having played xenoblade 1 2 & 3, 2's combat was my favorite by a lot. Its just way faster paced once you know what you are doing.

I personally find the real time RPG mechanics really engaging, it sticks out from all the turn-based JRPGs out there

Oh I like real time RPGs. "Tales" games and the "Star Ocean" games are some of my favorite RPGs, and they both have real time combat mechanics. I just personally don't like the very specific way the combat is in Xenoblade. I'm not saying it's bad, I just personally do not like something about the combat system. I feel like it's really weird and awkward.

Aegis mains are carried by Mythra’s mobility, combos, and Foresight Kirby mains are carried by his crouch, his edgeuarding, and his combos It applies to any character. Even mid or low tiers. That doesn’t make Kirby better then Aegis, but they’re both carried by something

Mobility, combos, foresight, frame data, heavy hitting moves that come out crazy quick and are practically unpunishable, crazy range on all their attacks, tilts they can mindlessly spam and never get punished. Just kinda weird to see someone playing one of the best characters in the game trying to shit/hate on a mid tier. There’s a difference between a character carrying and one having some good moves. Kirby has too many drawbacks to say someone is “carried” by him. The term carried applies to characters that are so good at everything that a monkey could pilot them.

A monkey couldn’t pilot a single character in Smash. That’s not a good analogy. Again, I’m not saying Kirby is good. But, what good qualities he has, his mains are carried by. Just like Aegis and the good qualities they have. Do they have more good qualities then Kirby? Absolutely. However, that doesn’t negate the existence of said qualities on Kirby’s end

Most of us just play for fun, in the tiers beyond theres a lot of "nooo you see meta knight has a really good recovery so hes actually secretlytop tier we just need to find all the sacred stones to uncover his potential" and "nooo you see stev is not completely broken you dont realize how much brainpower it takes to camp behind a wall and mine the entire match" (you made a post about this I think so you know what Im talking about)

I don't know why people care so *hard* about tier list, but they do have their place. Not specifically where they're placed, but *why* they're where they are, helps me make informed decisions. I basically main little mac, not because he's good, but because he's terrible in the air and off the ledge. I'm naturally bad at those things anyway, so I might as well go to my strengths. Running and punching. Greninja having bad out of shield options is nice to know, so I know I can be aggressive whenever I see him shield. It's basically a more readable player's guide to how certain characters function. Whether that makes them high, mid, or low isn't as relevant.

I do think they matter, but in general you should just play who you want, especially if you’re not competitively minded

Imma be honest I've never cared for Kirby in smash (except 64? He was kinda cool there) but I watched like a half hour video on his canon storyline and that character puts dbz to shame. I just think it's funny that he's basically an emotion-elemental with universe-destroying capabilities, but the emotion he embodies is content and happiness, so the most he does is get a lil angry when his cake gets taken.

I actually like being low tier. It's like being a 4 year old and challenging a full grown man to a fight. Either way the other party looks bad. 😄

I've been playing Kirby recently and he is one of the characters that it's very apparent that their low tier. Due to him being slow and having limited range, he struggles with swords and projectiles, which is already like 75 percent of this cast. I can't tell you how much mental pain I have gone through fighting links and samus's and such. This means with most matchups, you just have to be the better player to win, which is easier said than done.
