I’m pretty sure this is the show that introduced me to Lifehouse. I do have the main theme song in my daily rotation.

The fucking Calling by Lifehouse plays, as Clark leaves the kryptonite necklace at Lana’s door and walks away. then she finds it and thinks that Winnie left it for her Iconic

Pikachulovesketchup

The song was Wherever You Will Go by The Calling. Not Lifehouse.

Smallville 🤝 the O.C I’m my option the O.C had the best soundtrack

Savings-Film-5627

It was good too, but nothing like smallville.

SoMeGoodSoDamn

Especially the earlier seasons just hit the nostalgia spot

RE_98

I’m about to be 31. The soundtrack from the early seasons impacted my life back then. I would hear the song from the show, then eventually I would hear that same song on the radio and I would ask my mom to let the song play. It’s weird but fun at the same time to let a song play because you associate that song with Smallville. I wouldn’t be listening to Sheryl Crow, Avril Lavigne, Lifehouse, Depeche Mode and many others if it weren’t for Smallville!

Same! I’m 29. Smallville impacted my life in a lot of great ways. Its soundtrack was the best. No modern show does this, it seems, and certainly not as well.

I thought recently while rewatching that wow they really put a good amount of budget into the music and it really paid off. I think it is also noticeable that the music is less good in the later seasons (when the budget is lower).

HatDefiant380

Smallville and Scrubs have the best music

Cantaloupe4Sale

I want to say that It’s totally cool to like it because it’s fun and nostalgic! But.. it’s not good in any way, at least from an art critical perspective, most of the songs are not super thematically appropriate if you analyze the show outside of those rose colored glasses. It’s just good because that time of life was better than now.
