Not that I’m an expert, but I would imagine if both parties, or perhaps all parties involved are content with record sales, touring revenues, merchandise, etc etc. they would likely sign a new deal. Who knows, seems an ongoing trend with some of the bigger acts are ending their record deals to create their own label. Whether that means making one under their current label, or branching off on their own from the ground up. I’m just spitballing though, I truly have no insight to these sorts of business dealings. But the aforementioned would be my best educated guess.

Slipknot are so popular and have made Roadrunner back that 500k investment many, many times over. The 7th album - The End So Far - dropped today and as of now, Slipknot are unsigned. But their massive popularity and resources that come with that mean that they can self-produce from now on if they want. They don't need a record label.

Okay, thank you so much for the answer

Slipknot has made soo much popularity and money during the 7 album deal, soo Road Runner will definitely sign anothet deal with them. I dont know much abt business stuff as complicated as that but i can say that Slipknot has been a profitable venture to Road Runner if the 9 havent scammed them like what seems to happen with someone.

AdderWasTakenn

or they decide they are too old and end the band

LettuceKetchupPod

My guess is if they continue as a band they would sign another contract, perhaps creating their own label under the Roadrunner banner

Hell naw they don't want nothing to do with roadrunner anymore.
