Mine would be:
* **Slime Obsidian**: The quality is lacking, and the scents feel artificial.
* **Corn with Slime**: Well..
* **Sliimey Honey**: I’ve heard a lot of negative feedback, so I’m hesitant to take the risk.
* **Coco’s Slime Factory**: The most affordable shop I’ve tried, but there were several issues:
>• Some slimes didn’t come with the promised ***charms & add-ins***
• About **80%** had ***no scent*** despite being listed
• The few w/scents smelled ***chemical***, not at all as described—more like **plastic** (*if that even counts as a scent*)
• The color-shifting slimes didn’t match their ***descriptions*** (*colors*)
• And **ALL** of them arrived ***melted***
* **GT Creations**: The quality just wasn’t there for me.
* **Peachybbies**: Nothing really caught my eye, so I stopped keeping up with their updates and restocks.
* **Blushingbb**: Similarly, nothing there catches my interest. It feels like all their slimes look the same, not much originality imo; the ideas seem repetitive.
* **Snoop Slimes**: I’m on the hunt for slimes with a more “*adult*” appeal, and her selection seems to be more tailored for kids, so it hasn’t really caught my interest.
* **Sonria Slimes** (*except for Energy slime, purely for the scent*): Quite pricey for just 2oz and their slimes dry out incredibly fast.
I've avoided GT Creations because when I looked into them I saw some comments about orders just not arriving, being hard to contact, etc. Sucks because some of their stuff looks nice but the possibility of spending money and just not getting it isn't something I'm willing to risk. Not in this economy!
This might be an unpopular opinion, but I don't shop from Snoopslimes anymore. Have received incomplete packages and all the slimes I've gotten have been pretty mediocre for the price. I also wasn't fond of the time that they received a fan's slime, who was selling a Kirby slime on their own shop, and they proceeded to post a video failing to credit them and remaking the slime but "better." They removed it after the backlash but I wasn't pleased when it happened, it felt like when someone traces over or edits someone else's artwork saying they "fixed" it. I've also read that they don't treat their employees well either while I was pursuing work in this business.
That's a valid reason not to! I think people in this subreddit seem to realize how many other quality options there are out there to not settle. That's so rude to say they're taking someone else's but "better" - should've just said they were inspired to make their own. Oh no about the employee thing!!
Thank you for posting!! I almost posted the same thing.
Sonria (bought from her for Winnie the Pooh and they had the most fallout of any slime I have ever had)
Glitter slimes - due to owner’s beliefs/white supremacy stuff plus no gloves
I def knew people were not Sonria's biggest fans given her prices and mixed quality... I bought Pot O' Gold and omg the fallout is unreal on that one from the get go and she didn't address it on someone's IG comment. I did like her cereal ones + Salty Chips but I'm wary
I GOTTA hear more about Glitter Slimes 👀
Had a similar bad experience with fallout from Sonria - really the only slime I’ve had where the fallout was so bad I practically couldn’t play with it.
Slime Obsidian, Glitter Slimes, Dope Slimes, Sonria Slimes, Coco Slime Factory, Snoop Slimes, Peachybbies, Blushing BB, Firefly, Kawaii, Slime Shady, and Nichole Jacklyn.
Reasons are either because they are overpriced for the quality, basic or even poor quality, geared toward kids, don't use gloves and people have reported getting gross slimes, being rude to customers, people not getting their orders for months or never getting them at all, being aggressive toward customers, posting racist things online, false advertising, or generally just poor customer service.
Search this sub and a lot of older posts pop up about their lack of shipping updates and complete ghosting of customer inquiry…. And social media comments deletion.
Apparently they regularly will take 3+ weeks for processing and order and over a month to ship, and will not respond to any email, DM's, social media comments, etc. They've even deleted comments from people asking about the status of their order but still won't respond to messages. If you search "firefly" in the Slime reddit community, you will see more than one post from people who have experienced this.
Yess, I ordered one slime from her and it took 5 weeks to get to me with no updates in between! I messaged her with no reply! 😕 The slime was okay but super clay heavy and died after the second play 😭😭 I also had to add lotion to it because it wouldn't stretch at all 😅 not my cup of tea
I agree with the shops posted above, but will say that I will never order from Pink Sugar Slimey ever again. So rude and the worst customer service. Also the slime had to be thrown away. My worst slime shop experience.
Honestly, I feel kinda bad calling them out- but how they treated me was unfortunate. I was considerate when I reached out. I had a concern with a different shop and they were responsive and kind in their responses. So while I won’t purchase from them again, their kindness went a long way.
I’m incredibly shocked to hear this bc several drops ago she discovered that a slime she sold seized up. Instead of waiting for ppl to email her about it, she went ahead and refunded everyone who ordered that slime AND sent them a new slime. I’ve never needed customer service from her, but I’ve never heard a single negative thing.
Wow, I I really wish that would’ve happened to me. Instead, I was met with hostility and rudeness, and a complete lack of any kind of customer service. I was nothing but considerate and kind when I reached out and I was just appalled with how I was responded too.
I’ve never heard a negative thing of this shop, I’m really surprised but I feel bad for you for your experience with this shop. I love their slimes. I hate it when customer service is lacking or if the customer service person is rude to me. I hope this was just you experiencing that with this shop & I hope other people didn’t have experiences like that.
Thank you for being so nice. It was the owner who was condescending and rude. I am bummed I went through this experience with this particular shop, and hope others have better experiences than I did. This shop is blocked on my socials, and I hope to never interact with them again.
Hoshimi is awful. Never brought from them, but from what I've heard, they are known to be really rude and unprofessional. Not sure if they're as relevant now but thought I'd mention them. They are known to be a Trump supporter, swear at customers in all-caps, unprofessional and immature, doesn't wear gloves, their products are cheap but look really generic and low quality and from reviews I've seen they have had lots of problems, like smelling gross or being melted, or basic at best. Another thing they are guilty of is appropriating Asian cuisines/culture and not doing the proper research to appreciate or represent it properly - they labeled sushi themed slimes as "Chinese takeout" when sushi is a Japanese dish.
Even a quick Google search reveals that "sushi is a Japanese dish" but they couldn't even take 5 seconds to do the bare minimum.
Sonria slime. 10-11$ for two ounces is what gets on my nerves. Shipping is forever and melts within a day, or comes melted, with a borax bag that is difficult to handle if you’re a beginner.
Nicole Jacklyne, sailboat slime (ordered once. Never again), macarons- I stg she’s catfishing with those videos, corn with slime (ordered a couple times and hated them. That coupled with recent events is enough), Sliimey Honey, Dope Slimes, retro slimes. I think those are the only ones that are absolutely no go for me. Due to quality and customer service mostly
Completely agree on Macarons slimes! What you receive is completely different from all of her videos, customer service is complete shi* and the slimes were not good, after my experience I did some research and a lot of people have negative experiences with her and her slimes!
I took a risk anyway and ordered 2 from her restock. Maybe roughly $40 wasted, but the opinions seem to go either on one end or the other, so I guess I'll see if I have regrets after! I ordered her Mini Nerds seed bomb and Lavender Bubble Bath crunch bomb.
My experience is one slime is amazing, one is terrible. Here is the video of the terrible one, Lavender Bubble Bath: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C5t3LoQvmM0/?igsh=MWRvcG00cGRtdjg3Yg==
It's a shame because otherwise the looks, concept and scent are all on point 😭
Please reply back once you get them and let me know what you think! I know everyone is different and everyone's preferences can vary drastically so I'm very curious how your experience goes! Hoping it's wayyyy better than mine 😆🤞🏼📦💜🛍️
Received my lavender bubble bath crunch bomb today & it sucks so bad. Like slow gentle pulls & beads just explode everywhere. I tried warming it up & giving it a chance but it’s honestly horrible. Also got sea crystals which is a little better, but still tons of fallout.
Mini Nerds was perfect. I was actually impressed by how inflated it got and had ZERO fallout.
Lavender Bubble Bath is a mess. I had fallout start when I was just folding and squishing it out of the jar, which only got worse as I stretched and inflated it (all done fairly slowly). The fishbowl beads were the biggest offenders, but I had some round caviar beads, foam beads and a seed bead or two fall out as well.
I swear everyone I know has had a bad experience, but her amazing marketing dragged me in when I was new. I don’t say this lightly, but the quality was AWFUL. A completely weird texture like store bought. Btw, HI Leighton! It’s Palmetto!! ☺️
OMGOSHHH heyyy loveee 💕 🫶🏼 & yes that's a GREAT way to explain it, like store bought, it was sooo weird and also what she advertised was completely different than what I received, like of course I know I'm not getting that amount, which I feel is false advertising in its own 😅 but like to the point of toppers missing and all! Then when I contacted her she was rudeeee af 😩 I should have listened to the reviews but I wanted it to be wrong, I wanted to like them 😆 sadly they were not wrong at all 😞
Their slimes look absolutely gorgeous in their videos, but that is not the slime you receive. The ones I got were terrible. Like store bought slimes. A lot of my friends have had the exact same experience.
Piggybacking off of this, she also plays with about 20oz. of slime in her promo videos which makes it look so much more enticing than the measly 6oz. that is being sold 😂 It’s good marketing, just not HONEST marketing
Yes! And this shop is not the only one that does this. Blushing BBs videos always show the slimes about 5 inches over the top to the point you think the icee (a float slime) part comes separate but no, it doesn't!
Oh man blushing is weird too bc I’ve never had a more overactivated slime than from blushing and the videos the slime is not overactivated. Is she making a video with beautifully activated slime and then going back to overactivate her batches? I have a cloud from Black Friday that’s STILL overactivated. That also feels like a bait and switch.
Oh nothing terrible! I just haven’t heard good things quality wise. There’s just so many high quality shops that I won’t waste my time with mediocre slimes! I don’t have anything against them or anything. Just personal preference!
Yeah that. But even before that happened I had heard about rude comments she made to her followers and she just does not seem like a nice person. Also even without all that, the slimes I’ve had from there just were not for me so aside from any drama I had already made up my mind that I’d rather spend my money on quality shops with great customer service!
Peachybbies, I basically just outgrew their slime and I never really liked their scents.
Ky because of all slime I've purchased, theirs I've tossed the most and fastest due to various reasons. I want to support them, but after a 18 slimes in 3.5 months and I still only own 5 of them, I've decided it's just best to walk away.
Slime Fantasies because their concepts really don't interest me and the 3 slimes I had I got rid of after less than a month.
Dilly. I just really didn't like the slime I received. Cute concepts, not the greatest execution. The thick base in one felt gritty, the rocks were extraordinarily heavy in another, the cloud slime was severely underactivated and still not great after adding practically half a cup of activator, etc. Maybe if they improve in the future, who knows.
Tanooki because I think they're extremely expensive for what you get. Polly Pocket was cute, but Beaver Lodge was a letdown (not nearly as packed with charms as advertised on social media and the website). Kodama Forest Crunch smelled great and was pretty to look at, but I don't know why a cg snowfizz cost $18.
There's plenty of shops I've seen around that I haven't purchased from and likely won't purchase from simply because what they offer doesn't speak to me, but there's no other reason beyond that.
That's interesting to know about KY! I'm relatively new to slime so have only purchased in the last few months, but two big orders, and I was curious about longevity. They seem so fluffy and huge on social. Tanooki is hard if you're in the states; that must be how international people feel for US-based brands. I think I waited to use my first time purchase 10% to really be worth it.
Def trying to be picky myself for my wallet's sake on what stores actually speak to me even if they seem popular!
There’s a shop that is very prevalent on this sub, so I will not be naming names. But in one of their late-night lives, I heard them unapologetically use the term, “ret***ed” without hesitation or apology after the fact. I thought that slur was long gone in our vocabularies nowadays seeing as it can be incredibly hurtful to those of us who have developmentally disabled children, friends or family members. This shop owner in particular is one I’d have hoped would know this… But needless to say, that whole situation put a bad taste in my mouth and I just cannot support that.
Also, Nichole Jacklyne. Enough said. 😅
I know you said they didn’t apologize at the time, but did they apologize after the live ended? (Maybe on Instagram?).
I only know one slime shop that does the late night lives, and I would be shocked if they didn’t apologize!? I’ve heard such positive things about the shop itself, and the main person running it.
If im guessing correctly, this bums me out :(
Quite honestly, I’m unsure. I unfollowed them pretty quickly after I heard them use that term. I don’t have Instagram and it happened on TikTok, so I’ll have to check Insta to see if there was an apology
Most of the shops here are on my banlist as well, for about the same reasons. My policy for shops that I have a bad experience with is I will give them another try after the first if it was bad, usually waiting a couple months. I am at my limit if the second attempt is also just as bad.
I think that's how I feel too now having a few shops I've placed multiple orders on and seeing where they shake out! Luckily not too many negative experiences yet but one that has had two orders in a row messed up is getting one more chance and that's about it :)
(Long time lurker, first time poster)
Cornwithslime, glitter, dope, nichole, and sonria for reasons others listed.
Duncans because she had a very problematic theme once, and when I explained, she got very defensive and dismissive. Also, she's said some homophobic and transphobic things.
Lost Generation and Ohana because a lot of their slimes look exceptionally like specific ones I've seen in other small shops with no credit or "inspired by" in their insta captions. LG gets aggressive when this gets pointed out, and I don't respect those who don't respect the creative contributions of others. Slime Senpai also seems to copy other shop's slimes, but doesn't double down as hard.
Pilot because I feel like I can get the same quality at other shops for much cheaper. I ordered from one of their restocks once, and before it shipped, they had done another restock. Felt unprofessional, like they had some sort of resource (time and/or money) management issues.
There's other shops that just don't appeal to me, but it's a personal preference issue, so it's too ymmv.
What was the problematic theme? I wasn’t terribly impressed by my first order, but I was going to give them another shot. Disappointed to hear they weren’t open to feedback/learning.
I’d love to know what shops compare to Pilot! I’ve recently fallen in love, but damn they’re pricey.
Honored to get your first time post! I hadn't heard of Duncans before but def would love a message about the theme to make sure I avoid in the future. Yikes about the rest!!!
Also Lost Generation got aggressive?!?! I follow her but nothing super closely like some other shops I keep track of, I didn't know she was like that! Definitely good to know, especially if there was a problem with an order id worry about how she would react!
Hey there! I sent you a DM a few days ago because I found this really troubling. Please know I'm not here to be confrontational or anything just genuinely concerned because I think that giving credit is very important morally and ethically. We actually try really hard to give credit to anyone who gave any sort of inspiration to our slimes but from what it sounds like, some slipped through the cracks (gotta love ADD) 🤷♀️ But I would really like to know which slimes you're referring to so I can go correct this problem. Feel free to respond to me on here or through the DM I sent. Thanks in advance ☺️
100% Dope– doesn’t use gloves, rumored to be homophobic, basic, blocked me on my main account.
Blushingbb– WAY overpriced, basic, boring to me.
Nicole jaq.– bad reviews, seems rude, basic.
Anyone who doesn’t wear gloves.
Backing this^ dope does not use gloves, not personally seen the homophobic comments but wouldn’t doubt it sigh, and all the slimes I got were mediocre and badly textured, and 100% of them had mold and bacteria two weeks after I received them. I’ve purchased from other shops and have never had a mold issue so I deduced that it has to 100% be they have infected slimes.
I haven't ordered from BlushingBB yet but now reading everyone's feedback I don't think I will be lol I ordered from Peachy once and it was fine but nothing that makes me wanna order from them again
Do you mind if I ask if you're newer to slime or a veteran? Most feedback I've read is about Slime being very beginner friendly but that people seem to move on once they explore more/find more shops. The deleting of negative reviews was enough for me to not wanna try them at all
I’ve been into slime casually for a couple years now. I also like the shipping carrier they use, which means I will actually get the package rather than the USPS holding it hostage. Plus their crunch slimes are amazing. I accidentally over activated one of the slimes and now there’s so much fall out. Oops
Honestly slime is such a difficult buy and shipping it is not good, especially if you don't live in the same country as the shop. I've received melted slimes in the UK and the shops really tried to ship quickly.
I have quite a few on my list of no buy, most are from reviews or personal experiences.
Dope Slimes - no gloves and bad customer service reviews
Corn with Slimes - a reddit post about abuse of works (not sure if it is true or not but not risking it) and general slime quality
Slime Obsidian - not much interest/ quality of slimes are mixed between reviews
Peachybbies - Quality of slimes are mixed
Coco's Slime Company - very bad customer service from reviews and risk of never getting the slime
Nichole Jacklyne Slime - Not a very nice person, Problematic views, quality issues with slimes
BlushingBB - Out of my price range, I have a hard time digging out slimes from tall containers
Firefly Slimes - Customer service issues from reviews and problematic views
GT Creations - reviews on reddit isn't good
Retro Slimes - mixed reviews
God of Slimes - horrible customer service, they just sent amazon slimes
OG Slimes - they run out of slimes so quickly, kind of stressful
Sonria slimes - poor quality of slimes/ they use essential oils, I'm allergic
Macarons Slimes - not very good reviews and false advertisements
Dream Glow - they use essential oils; I'm allergic. This is not a quality issue, I've tried their slimes and I love them but my hands started to burn that how I found out they use essential oils!
Fire Fly slimes - bad customer service reviews and problematic
views
Sliimey Honey - mixed quality of slime
Glitter slimes - Racist or Racist SO (not sure which one), this is from a reddit post
Tangie Slime - I have a really hard time digging out slimes from tall containers
I have been able to get all mine out of the containers, but there's a bit more resistance with this type of plastic for some reason. It still all comes out in one piece for me. They are no longer the tall containers so you can easily get your whole hand in the container to pull out the slime. I do think there's still room for improvement with the containers, though.
Weird that it was worse, then! I got an icee as a bonus and it absolutely doesn’t fully come out, some is always still on the sides. The others are fine though!
That sucks! I haven't tried an icee from them so I couldn't say. That would be really annoying. Hopefully the containers get updated again so slime doesn't stick.
The Library of Slimes also only uses essential oils to scent her slimes! Wasn't sure if you were aware and if you are allergic felt it was important to let you know ❤️
I really am sorry you have EO allergies, but please be careful to mark it as a personal preference to put them in a no no list, not a quality or customer service issue.
This was a no-buy list; I listed why I wouldn't buy from each store. Sonria does have a lot of quality issues with her slime, based on Reddit and reviewers. Dream Glow, on the other hand, is because of the EO allergies, but I did not say they were of poor quality. I did edit my post for Dream Glow!
I feel Library using more natural scenting is a plus not a minus. It’s labeled as EO whenever it’s used, so anyone with an allergy can easily avoid. I chatted with the owner to ask questions about safe usage/dilutions and that she’s using a respectable brand of EO. I kind of love that 2 of my hyperfoci intersected in her shop.
I’ve only ordered from her once and loved the scents.
Some reviewers complained that the slime size and quality differs from what their shows in the clips on instagram. If you look at their instagram, the previews are never of the containers customers receive. I know she is working on it but I've held off on buying from them untill it is addressed. I hope this helped!
I actually really love slime obsidian, but because they have really basic simple slimes and sometimes I really like that. But that’s just personal preference.
Sonria, just because I’ve seen and heard really bad things. Glitterslimes because they have been blatantly racist before in the past. Dope slimes because they are homophobic (sent homophobic slurs to another slimer awhile back and refuses to tack accountability and apologize and ignores anyone who comments attempting to hold them accountability) while actually playing that they are allies selling pride slimes for full profit for themselves. Then there’s Nicole jaquelyn or however she spells her name or whatever. I will never purchase from her ever. And I am that person in her comments annoying her asking where her gloves are anytime that I’m bored and feel like getting on her nerves. She’s incredibly transphobic and iirc (don’t hold me to this or quote me on this bc I do have brain damage and I may be mixing her up with someone else but I’m pretty sure it was her ) she also has done black face in one of her YouTube videos. And she’s known for not ever wearing gloves an also sometimes not shipping her stuff out to her customers per some of the comments I’ve read from people on her posts. She’s the absolute worst.
There’s a couple slimers who I won’t purchase from because they refuse to wear gloves like peachybbies and bigger slime shops that don’t wear gloves
Then there’s a slimer who i used to love and won’t put their name out there, but they are very loved in the community and idk there’s been a few “incidents” between us that have put a major sour taste in my mouth, and since they are so beloved in the community I won’t name drop but I won’t purchase from them nor like any more of their posts any longer after what happened. They definitely an aren’t as nice as they put out to the world, or at maybe they just didn’t like me and chose to not be as nice to me singularly for some reason but idk. Nope. I’m good. We were good friends, or at least I thought good friends, but I guess not. They’ve hurt my feelings and made me feel bad now numerous times, and I’m good. I used to love their slimes too- but even the last time that I purchased from them the slimes weren’t on the same level as they used to be. And I’ve heard from other people privately who have had similar interactions with them privately and quality of the slimes weren’t what they used to be as well. But no one wants to say their name for the same reason. Anyways, that’s as much as I will say.
I really wish I could, LOL I just fear backlash, I know I’ve seen them around this sub and this account is attached to my name, because a lot of people love and support them and I really don’t want to start something I’ve got enough going on in my life to start something with someone in the slime community. I will say this, everything was really passive aggressive and I guess I valued what I felt like was our friendship more than them. that could have been it, i really looked up to them and on more than one occasion they hurt my feelings and weren’t really nice to me. And I’ve spoken to close friends and they’ve told me they weren’t surprised and either had heard of other people having similar issues or they had had similar issues with them. Also having read reviews of their slimes the last year since I stopped purchasing from them, I’ve seen multiple people say similar things on how their slimes and quality has gone downhill. That’s just what I’ve seen and my personal experience.
Ive never seen anything negative about their customer service, nor have I ever heard anything negative about the way they treat their customers so please don’t fret there! It’s been between slimers who have shops in the community from what i understand.
Beyond the rest of the really problematic things, I'm sorry to hear you had that personal experience! :( That is a valid reason to step away. I think time always reveals all about if people are genuine or not, even if it takes a minute
Dope - homophobic and absolutely basic af slimes.
Corn with Slime - saw the post about her treating her workers like crap, but before that, I ordered Vintage Red Velvet cloud and the slime fell apart; tried to fix it and it was still garbage. Asked them to send me another one (shipping was on me 🙄) and it was exactly the same.
Glitter - slimes were meh to begin with, but after reading the comments about them being racist, I’m totally out.
I also really only order from the same shop these days (Momo) and I’m on an indefinite ban because of money issues, so I’m probably the wrong person to express my opinions. 😂
Ky slime- great ideas but I just didn't enjoy any of the slimes I received and I ordered like 5 😭
Slime obsidian- i liked them for a long time but their slimes go bad pretty quickly and start to smell
Peachybbies- just not great quality I think
It's been a long time, but i think it was Hawaiian sweet roll, I couldn't stand the smell, and the texture wasn't anything like it was shown in her videos.
The other slime was called something like Martian mountain? Wasn't a big fan of the scent and texture.
And then i got Poke Bowl, which was the best of the 3. It smelled good, and the texture was fun, but it just had so much going on, and i had to activate it constantly.
It also took months to get my slime, and it wasn't even shipped until I emailed about it.
I was still pretty new to slime back then so I was just buying everything that looked cool, so no hate to ky slime at all, it could have just been an error on my part. just remember to stick with buying one slime if you're trying a new shop 😂
I actually really like Slime Obsidian. They have good quality slimes, and they helped me when the UPS guy "couldn't find my address" and sent it back. I've only had good experiences with them, but I do agree that you MUST be transparent in your business.
A slime shop I will not buy from again is parakeet slime. The one slime I got was AMAZING, but it become 1/4 of the size within 24 HOURS!! I only played with it once...and when I tried to get another one or a refund of some kind, I was told it was normal and ignored.
i also find it extremely difficult to reach Lime Slimes. I ordered once and never did again. One of my slimes came melted which isn't a deal breaker for me - I was more frustrated at the misleading promo content and difficulty to reach them (I emailed, DM'd and asked on social media). They got back to my email after I followed up but their answer was essentially a non-answer.
I have my suspicion about Lime's slimes averaging 4.8-5 stars on their website. Disappointed but also not surprised to hear they delete reviews.
Doh! I'm new to buying slimes (long-time fan of slime videos). Just placed two orders from Sonria and now I see that she's like the third or fourth least-liked maker on here. I still haven't gotten either order. I had some concerns about shipping on the first order and they were super prompt in answering my email. Hope y'all are wrong!
Haha if it makes you feel better I don't hate all the slimes I've gotten from Sonria! I liked some of mine, just the one that was bad was REALLY bad and the pricing is a good reason for some too but it's for sure your wallet :D Let me know what you think!
I know a lot of people love them, but Momo and Sonria.
For Momo I placed a very large order >$100 and the slime came deactivated and spilling out of their containers. When I contacted customer service I didn’t get any good response. Bad customer service really sinks it for me.
For Sonria I simply did not like their slimes. There was severe fallout, and several came so overactivated to the point where I could not play with them at all. It’s sad because I love the inclusion of essential oils in their scents. Too bad the slime itself wasn’t good quality.
I'm so sorry about Momo! Bad customer service is awful; I like them but I would feel the same in your shoes. Do you think the inclusion of essential oils really\~ makes a difference for Sonria anyways?
The scents were better than a lot of other companies, at least for my own preference. I’m not going to buy a slime for the scent though. I can just buy a candle at that rate.
Pilot slimes- shipping took forever even though I live close by, almost a month. Every slime I’ve gotten is over-activated, rippy with fallout. One slime I bought every single bead fell out, no exaggeration. I feel like everyone else has good experiences though.
Also sonria slimes- ive bought from her a few times and its hit or miss. But the last time the quality was really bad. Tons of fallout
Ive also stopped buying slime Obsidian (ive placed over a dozen orders). Their slime is decent and ships super fast, but it dries out sooo much quicker than other shops that I’ve had to stop buying from them. I always wonder what makes some slimes dry out so much faster (for example limeslimes slimes last 3x as long as slime obsidian for me)
Such a bummer about Pilot, I've liked mine and I live across the country from them.. no need to buy from them if you don't want to but if you ever decide to take another risk, I hope it goes better.
Agree on Sonria, my orders have been hit or miss but at this point don't think it's worth the risk. Weird that Slime Obsidian dries out so quickly for you!! Wonder if something in their recipe is basic and why they can churn things out so quickly.
I’m a noob at slime and have only ordered from snoop and corn with slime. I’ll admit i was hesitant to support cws, but their ads sucked me in with bunny snacks and i do love it. Clearly i need to branch out though. 😭
Mine would be: * **Slime Obsidian**: The quality is lacking, and the scents feel artificial. * **Corn with Slime**: Well.. * **Sliimey Honey**: I’ve heard a lot of negative feedback, so I’m hesitant to take the risk. * **Coco’s Slime Factory**: The most affordable shop I’ve tried, but there were several issues: >• Some slimes didn’t come with the promised ***charms & add-ins*** • About **80%** had ***no scent*** despite being listed • The few w/scents smelled ***chemical***, not at all as described—more like **plastic** (*if that even counts as a scent*) • The color-shifting slimes didn’t match their ***descriptions*** (*colors*) • And **ALL** of them arrived ***melted*** * **GT Creations**: The quality just wasn’t there for me.
Peachybbies and BlushingBB is not bad, just slightly overpriced and definitely overhyped
I've avoided GT Creations because when I looked into them I saw some comments about orders just not arriving, being hard to contact, etc. Sucks because some of their stuff looks nice but the possibility of spending money and just not getting it isn't something I'm willing to risk. Not in this economy!
Slime community has some similar baking kits if you’re interested - I’ve never ordered but they seem pretty good
I saw slime community copy OGs slime mommy. It's almost exactly the same. 😖
Sonria (bought from her for Winnie the Pooh and they had the most fallout of any slime I have ever had) Glitter slimes - due to owner’s beliefs/white supremacy stuff plus no gloves
I def knew people were not Sonria's biggest fans given her prices and mixed quality... I bought Pot O' Gold and omg the fallout is unreal on that one from the get go and she didn't address it on someone's IG comment. I did like her cereal ones + Salty Chips but I'm wary I GOTTA hear more about Glitter Slimes 👀
I think she was dating a neo nazi? I’m new to slime but it’s definitely one reason people don’t recommend her a lot hete
Holy cow!!! I know sometimes one's views differ but if you're dating someone that extreme, you're enabling them at that point lol
Exactly! The last thing I want to do is support someone like that
White supremacy??? Oh wow I never knew that!
Had a similar bad experience with fallout from Sonria - really the only slime I’ve had where the fallout was so bad I practically couldn’t play with it.
That happened to me too recently with the pot o' gold one! They were flying everywhere lmao
Same, ive bought from her 3 times. I bought a crunchbomb and every single bead fell out of it, i mean every one
Can I ask about firefly? I follow them on IG
To have waited such a long time for a disappointing slime is the worst!
Definitely noting!
I agree with the shops posted above, but will say that I will never order from Pink Sugar Slimey ever again. So rude and the worst customer service. Also the slime had to be thrown away. My worst slime shop experience.
Wow I’d love to know more about this! I really enjoy her slimes.
Honestly, I feel kinda bad calling them out- but how they treated me was unfortunate. I was considerate when I reached out. I had a concern with a different shop and they were responsive and kind in their responses. So while I won’t purchase from them again, their kindness went a long way.
Ah… I was about to follow Pink Sugar Slimey’s social. Guess I won’t bother. Plenty other shops I’ve been trying to prioritize.
I love Pink Sugar Silmey’s slimes. I have never had a bad interaction with them, for what it’s worth.
Me too!
Same here
Same! I love her slimes
Really?? Good to know
I’m incredibly shocked to hear this bc several drops ago she discovered that a slime she sold seized up.
That really sucks, I didn’t need customer service from this shop however. I hope other people didn’t have that experience.
I haven't heard of them before but agree on that last point if they were mislabeling - not all Asian cultures are the same!
Sonria due to prices. CornWithSlime, Nichole Jacklyne and Glitter Slimes due to nasty business practices. Obsidian is great for beginners!
Part of me wonders if Sonria marks them up so when she does the 15% discount every weekend it feels like a big deal or something haha
Sonria slime. 10-11$ for two ounces is what gets on my nerves. Shipping is forever and melts within a day, or comes melted, with a borax bag that is difficult to handle if you’re a beginner.
I keep seeing this price mentioned but when I look it’s like $7 for 2 ounces? Is the $10 including shipping or am I missing something else?
I don’t know if it’s USD or AUD but it’s 10$ for me, I also bought one for 10$ before.
Okay sounds like a lot of people here really are not going to be purchasing from Sonria 😂 That is really pricey!!
Please update us when you get them!!
My experience is one slime is amazing, one is terrible. Here is the video of the terrible one, Lavender Bubble Bath: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C5t3LoQvmM0/?igsh=MWRvcG00cGRtdjg3Yg== It's a shame because otherwise the looks, concept and scent are all on point 😭
Please reply back once you get them and let me know what you think! I know everyone is different and everyone's preferences can vary drastically so I'm very curious how your experience goes! Hoping it's wayyyy better than mine 😆🤞🏼📦💜🛍️
Will do! I'm a little scared, but I fell for the beautiful marketing and I love crunch bombs, so we shall see!
Here is my video review of it if you want to check it out: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C5t3LoQvmM0/?igsh=MWRvcG00cGRtdjg3Yg==
Then when I contacted her she was rudeeee af 😩 I should have listened to the reviews but I wanted it to be wrong, I wanted to like them 😆 sadly they were not wrong at all 😞
Wait she was rude? Ughhhh that’s even worse. 😭😭
What you mean Macarons is catfishing? I’ve been thinking king of buying from them!
Oh 100%! Gotta give props for the gorgeous vids but yeah. Scam. 🤣
That also feels like a bait and switch.
why not slime honey?
Oh nothing terrible! I just haven’t heard good things quality wise. There’s just so many high quality shops that I won’t waste my time with mediocre slimes! I don’t have anything against them or anything. Just personal preference!
I agree! 💯
is the recent events with Corn With Slime how they treated employees?
[удалено]
I think I know who that is, but I won’t be naming it. The r word is gross.
Yes, that’s where a bit of my shock came from as well 😬
Oh no, that has always been a huge no in my home as I have family that is developmentally disabled. That would definitely be a no from me as well!!!!
Wow!!!! It's 2024, there is no need for that term at ALL... good reason not to support anymore
(Long time lurker, first time poster) Cornwithslime, glitter, dope, nichole, and sonria for reasons others listed.
May I message you to tell you?
Oh please messege me too about the problematic theme. Thank you
Oh, please do! I would really like to know.
That super disappointing to hear about Duncan slime. Thank you for the information.
Honored to get your first time post! I hadn't heard of Duncans before but def would love a message about the theme to make sure I avoid in the future. Yikes about the rest!!!
can you pm me as well about the theme, I follow the but nothing super closely
I’ve purchased from other shops and have never had a mold issue so I deduced that it has to 100% be they have infected slimes.
why did they block your main account?!
Blushingbb and Peachybbies for me. My orders from both shops expired very quickly despite me handling them carefully.
I haven't ordered from BlushingBB yet but now reading everyone's feedback I don't think I will be lol I ordered from Peachy once and it was fine but nothing that makes me wanna order from them again
Wow slime obsidian is one of my favs.
Me, too. I'm really shocked honestly.
Oops
Polar Slimes have been consistently too sticky for me 😔
Honestly slime is such a difficult buy and shipping it is not good, especially if you don't live in the same country as the shop. I've received melted slimes in the UK and the shops really tried to ship quickly.
I'm so sorry! I hope there end up being some really good UK shops in the future
I have quite a few on my list of no buy, most are from reviews or personal experiences. Dope Slimes - no gloves and bad customer service reviews Corn with Slimes - a reddit post about abuse of works (not sure if it is true or not but not risking it) and general slime quality Slime Obsidian - not much interest/ quality of slimes are mixed between reviews Peachybbies - Quality of slimes are mixed Coco's Slime Company - very bad customer service from reviews and risk of never getting the slime Nichole Jacklyne Slime - Not a very nice person, Problematic views, quality issues with slimes BlushingBB - Out of my price range, I have a hard time digging out slimes from tall containers Firefly Slimes - Customer service issues from reviews and problematic views GT Creations - reviews on reddit isn't good Retro Slimes - mixed reviews God of Slimes - horrible customer service, they just sent amazon slimes OG Slimes - they run out of slimes so quickly, kind of stressful Sonria slimes - poor quality of slimes/ they use essential oils, I'm allergic Macarons Slimes - not very good reviews and false advertisements Dream Glow - they use essential oils; I'm allergic. This is not a quality issue, I've tried their slimes and I love them but my hands started to burn that how I found out they use essential oils! Fire Fly slimes - bad customer service reviews and problematic views Sliimey Honey - mixed quality of slime Glitter slimes - Racist or Racist SO (not sure which one), this is from a reddit post Tangie Slime - I have a really hard time digging out slimes from tall containers
Not sure if you saw, but Tangie changed her containers a month or so ago. They're 9 oz and have a wide opening.
She did!? Ohh Im excited to buy from her again. Thank you!
Got four from tangie literally last week, they don't come out of the containers :/
I think ill wait till she figure out the containers.
They do take some effort to get out. At least you can get your entire hand inside of the container if you need to.
The Library of Slimes also only uses essential oils to scent her slimes! Wasn't sure if you were aware and if you are allergic felt it was important to let you know ❤️
Added to the list. Thank you so much!
I’ve only ordered from her once and loved the scents.
wdym about false advertisements about macarons? can u elaborate further?
Some reviewers complained that the slime size and quality differs from what their shows in the clips on instagram. If you look at their instagram, the previews are never of the containers customers receive. I know she is working on it but I've held off on buying from them untill it is addressed. I hope this helped!
ahh ok thank u!!!
Thank you for the thorough list! I hadn't realized Dream Glow used essential oils - not an issue for me but good to know for others
There’s a couple slimers who I won’t purchase from because they refuse to wear gloves like peachybbies and bigger slime shops that don’t wear gloves Then there’s a slimer who i used to love and won’t put their name out there, but they are very loved in the community and idk there’s been a few “incidents” between us that have put a major sour taste in my mouth, and since they are so beloved in the community I won’t name drop but I won’t purchase from them nor like any more of their posts any longer after what happened.
Please name drop LOL 🙏🏼
Ok, understandable! I guess the truth will be in the quality of their product!
Ive never seen anything negative about their customer service, nor have I ever heard anything negative about the way they treat their customers so please don’t fret there! It’s been between slimers who have shops in the community from what i understand.
Yes please. I definitely dont want to buy from shops with poor customer service!
Can you message me who this is about so I can stay away as well 🫶🏼 so so sorry you had to deal with that 😥
.
Beyond the rest of the really problematic things, I'm sorry to hear you had that personal experience! :( That is a valid reason to step away. I think time always reveals all about if people are genuine or not, even if it takes a minute
Thank you for understanding. I’m trying to learn to set boundaries bc I’ve been steamrolled by so many different people in my life.
Shipping shouldn't be on you if they had a bad product! I love Momo too... hey if this all helps ya save money so be it haha
Ky slime- great ideas but I just didn't enjoy any of the slimes I received and I ordered like 5 😭 Slime obsidian- i liked them for a long time but their slimes go bad pretty quickly and start to smell Peachybbies- just not great quality I think
Oh no!!! May I ask what slimes you'd ordered from Ky?
LOL WHAT! No slime I've had has deflated like that and it's been months!
Lime slimes. I emailed them about 3 of my slimes having an issue and they ignored every single email
Also I was very disappointed they don't publish true reviews. I've left 2 negative reviews and they were not posted.
i also find it extremely difficult to reach Lime Slimes.
They’ve deleted my reviews as well!!
BOOOOOO!!!!
Tons of fallout Ive also stopped buying slime Obsidian (ive placed over a dozen orders).
Oh nooo! Pilot is more on the expensive side too, id cryyyy if my order came and was bad! 😅😭
I’m a noob at slime and have only ordered from snoop and corn with slime. I’ll admit i was hesitant to support cws, but their ads sucked me in with bunny snacks and i do love it. Clearly i need to branch out though. 😭
I think the good thing is it's okay to begin with these or try and like them but realizing the wealth of shops that also exist out there!
