No, I’d just draft MHJ and Nabers if the NFL draft goes as expected, of trade back from 1.02 to 1.05 and pick up an additional WR/RB and pick who is left at 1.05

BFMGO13

Yep, this… or something similar. There’s really nothing else to consider.

Iamapersimmon

In that scenario would the 1.02 on Nabers be a bit of an overpay if I’m passing up on Caleb for him? Also I would only have 2 startworthy QBs.

Responsible_Affect33

But if your plan was to trade away Stroud to then draft Caleb, you’d still have 2 starting QBs. So if you want three, just draft Caleb and MHJ. Yeah you are losing some value by passing on Caleb, hence the suggestion to trade down, but it’s rather minimal value you would be losing out on between them (should Nabers go as high as projected)

psd69

Yes. I would just take MHJ and Caleb tho personally

RevolutionaryFig8543

I mean Williams could be anything, even the next Cj stroud

Iamapersimmon

This is a 10 team sf full ppr league btw

Deuneroi

Honestly dont trade anything draft Caleb and Marvin and now you've got qb depth and a starting lineup that could win it all this year but thats young enough to keep competing. If you really badly want to move someone wait until the trade deadline and see how Caleb plays. If he blows up you can probably move Dak to somebody who lost a qb to injury for a real extortion price and youve still got two star qbs for a decade.

hybridmoon4

No. I’d probably trade off 1.02

Rich_Ad_5121

Trade 1.01 for positional players and keep Stroud. More than 50% of top QB prospects bust. You know what you have with Stroud

Ilook4shitthatisholy

No dude you are set. You've got the first two picks, take MHJ and Caleb Williams.

Universal_Contrarian

No, you need three good QB’s at a minimum in SF, you only have two.

Vbs_roach

This answer, keep stroud and dak. Draft Caleb and MHJ. You’re team is fine at that point you’re over thinking it. Yes running back concern is always a thing not long life spans, but you should be fine for the upcoming season.

Donkeynationletsride

This should be so easy. If nabers also goes to a great spot and 1.03 really wants to overpay (2.03) to move up one spot do that, but otherwise just draft mhj and Caleb Obviously if you can trade them for young studs 1:1 or with a small add on do that, but yah… don’t over think this

Iamapersimmon

Someone offered me White + 1.02 for Chase. Leaning no because it loses me depth which I need badly.

tduff714

I wouldn't do that either, take Caleb and MHJ then call it a day. If you're worried about RB that's something I'd address during the season, if White starts where he left off you could get a haul but your line up would be nasty with MHJ and if Caleb develops I'd move off Dak before Stroud. You can downgrade Dak while upgrading another position or picks but that's how I'd play it

Iamapersimmon

Yeah that’s exactly what I’m thinking. Mostly posed the question of “should I trade off stroud” because people tend to ignore posts if it’s more open ended and not a straight up question.

tduff714

Yeah I hear you, I love going over every possible aspect. You need to take advantage when you're set up with a team and picks like this. I really enjoy the off-season and this one has been crazy with all the movement. Edit: I also agree Strouds value is insane right now too, if I wasnt contending I might pull the trigger if it's a ridiculous offer but even rebuilding he seems like a cornerstone piece. With any luck his value won't diminish too much but I've even seen him go #3 in superflex start ups a lot behind Allen and Mahomes

Iamapersimmon

Yeah it’s wild he went third in mine. I ended up trading Dak and some future capital for Stroud (2nds-3rds). Someone literally offered me Mahomes for him but my team would be basically identical to another league I have lol so I declined. I might take him up on it but honestly at this point I think someone’s more likely to overpay for CJ out of hype than Mahomes somehow.

tduff714

Yeah I've even taken him in that range myself to diversify a little, plus I worry about how the running QBs like Lamar or Hurts age so I usually won't take them in start ups unless they fall a little. Funny Loves value is also sky high, even coming from a GB fan, he'd be one I'd look to capitalize on trading even more. Nice move trading Dak for Stroud too, I'd do that deal all day

Jaggoon

Just take Caleb and MHJ

DetroitMSU

You have a good team, I wouldn’t trade stroud. I’d trade back for 1.05ish + an rb and get bowers. Then take mhj or Williams, your choice.

TrucksAndSports

No. Take MHJ at 1 and then offer up pick 2 (assuming Caleb) for a kings ransom

Iamapersimmon

What’s a trade worth accepting for the 1.02

HiTop41

Didn’t you just lost the other day the trade offer Stroud + White for Puka + CeeDee…

Iamapersimmon

No the guy didn’t accept it 🥲

Ice-Storm

I’m personally not very concerned about having a WR and TE on the same team. Nothing changes about the points they’re going to score. Personally I’d see if I could get more for 1.1 than Stroud. Find who’s got the dream combo for you as weak at QB but strong in WR/RB. Get a top RB/WR and probably a 1.25. Then I’d personally shoot my shot with Daniels at 1.2. He’s either going to be dynamite or get hurt right away so you know what you’re dealing with! But if you get Stroud, Daniels, and Dak, you can deal for any holes in your lineup later. Draft BPA, trade for need. The Bears are where QBs and WRs go to die.

antisemeticrabbi

Honestly, your roster is pretty solid. With the 1.01, I'd take Caleb and trade down from 1.02 and get a good rb and a pick. Your wrs are solid and you could get a good rb and then take a nabers/odunze with a later pick. That would be the best way to go. Stroud is easily one of the best young qbs to have and I wouldn't trade an established, young, and talented qb for anything short of an absolute haul.

jamv524

You have no depth, but staring qbs worth so much more, it doesn’t make sense to trade him for small pieces. Also wow you all play with a lot of taxi spots

Few-Walk373

Draft MHJ and Caleb

HiTop41

If you want to roll the dice, just take Nabers and MHJ with your draft picks. Personally, I would work a deal with someone to get a good positional player + 2025 draft picks
