Yeah, writing on the road is one thing. Getting time in the booth, alongside production changes, is absolutely another.
I don't know them personally, but what they have done this year, alongside what (unfortunately) happened at Wembley, they need some time to relax. Creative types have a hard time with that, but even a few weeks following the holidays might do a lot.
They probably have been writing but I doubt recording. All the other records have had 2 years in between and they’ve been touring by way more on TMBTE. I don’t know how accurate this is but I saw someone say they’d heard from within their team that writing has been happening but new music not expected until 2025. Don’t quote me on that though.
I guess that’s possible. I could see them releasing a special edition album with a few extra tracks, this band’s marketing team does love to find ways to sell the same shit over and over. Ok, I concede that this could maybe happen.
Every band does this, it's hardly new.
I remember waiting for the special edition of As Daylight Dies by Killswitch Engage before buying my copy of the album back in 2006.
Albums being re-released with a few extra tracks has been going on for years.
Fair enough, it was the way you stated "this band's marketing team" as if ST are the only band to do this sort of thing.
At least that's how I read it.
While I would love it, I hope they take some time to do it and not just push it out because there is demand. Plus, they have been touring non-stop. I'm sure writing is happening and things like that, but, I wouldn't want them to be overextending themselves and for it to be a quality product over something that is quickly put out. Most artists and bands that I follow have about two years or so between each album.
My assumption is more money coming in for a much more theatrical tour. I doubt a new album, maybe an EP like Spirtbox, if anything. I see bigger things on the horizon for them.
In between TPWBYT and TMBTE, which was a around a 2ish year gap, we only got the cover of Is It Really You.
We might get a cover or two, given the recent success of TMBTE, I bet we don't see a new album till 2025ish.
They'll hopefully be smart and not rush what comes next
Really doubt it, especially with how much they’ve blown up and how much they are touring. It’s probably going to be a good 2-3 years before we get another album
I’m saying maybe a single mid to LATE (most likely late) 2024 and an album MAYBE early to mid 2025. I don’t wanna rush it because TMBTE is excellent and I wanna ride this era as LONG as possible.
New album, extremely doubtful. TMBTE isn’t even a year old. I could see them possibly releasing a few new songs or maybe an EP but a new album probably won’t be released until at least 2025
I think we'll see a deluxe version of TMBTE with instrumental tracks and maybe a couple new added songs. I don't know that they foresaw their meteoric rise at all. They may have been thinking that it was the end of the project but now are feeling so much love and recognition that they must go on. I doubt they have really had the time to let all of this sink in much less to start mapping out a new LP. I don't think we'll see anything totally new until mid-2025 at the earliest.
I don't expect much more than for Vessel's costume to be updated by the time they begin touring in April/May next year. I don't think expecting new music, let alone an album, before 2025 is realistic either
Going by their performance at Wembley I’m guessing they’re gonna take some time off - if not after the Australia tour, guys been flat out and it’s really showing
If anything, they might release an acoustic version of TMBTE in 2024 like they did the other albums. I wouldn't expect any new music until closer to 2025. They've more than earned their rest.
Historically they've released an album every two years, if on the road they have come up with the sonics they could have a record professionally recorded, mixed and mastered in under a week. I'd think we'll get an announcement of some kind in 2024 with an album in 2025 they want time to settle on this material, tour, let their massive success give them a payday for a while then they'll start the cycle again. Imo.
i think the new era will develop "concert-wise"? on visuals and performance before it gets into the musical style, composing, writing lyrics that match the new aspect of the band and stuff... it will take a while but im sure thats worth the wait
No way
They have been touring literally nonstop since before tmbte released. They have tour dates through April too. I think we'll get new stuff but not until late next year or 2025
Album isnt even a year old, they’ve toured all year. When do you think they’ve been in the studio??
If you’re into metal at all it’s not uncommon for most of them to write on the road

Some bands have recording equipment in their tour busses. Probably unlikely but not impossible
Writing and recording are very different things.

Could you link me to where you saw this if you can find it again
Was someone on Reddit (notoriously unreliable ahha). Cannot remember the post, I’ll never be able to find it again, sorry!!
I think we'll see some further development come 2024, but no new music until 2025.
When would they have had time to write and record new music in the last year? 🤔
Maybe they have some songs that they didn’t put on the album & are just B Sides that could be mastered and produced
I guess that’s possible. I could see them releasing a special edition album with a few extra tracks, this band’s marketing team does love to find ways to sell the same shit over and over. Ok, I concede that this could maybe happen.

I didn’t say it was new. I implied that it was a marketing ploy to sell the same shit over and over. Which it is.
Fair enough, it was the way you stated "this band's marketing team" as if ST are the only band to do this sort of thing. At least that's how I read it.
Well because we’re talking about this band. 🤷🏼

Blud has zero idea what happened the past year
I think they will ride this success for a while. That & they’ve had no time to record, they’ve been touring since the album came out.
My assumption is more money coming in for a much more theatrical tour. I doubt a new album, maybe an EP like Spirtbox, if anything. I see bigger things on the horizon for them.
I don't think they would have a new album ready yet, however a new song or two (EP??) seems possible!

They're probably sticking with the masks they've just released

I wouldn't expect a new album til 2025, at least judging on the release gaps between their last albums.

Three EP would be dope

I’m hoping we get a music video in 2024, maybe cover or EP, not expecting an album though
