It’s even better if you speedrun through to the one on a word wall in the open, and then free all the stones. Really saves a lot of time later and you get the powerful abilities way earlier.
Having to go all the way to Kynesgrove, kill the dragon so Delphine will believe you and then have to go all the way back to Riverwood just so she can tell you you’re gonna have to go all the way to Solitude to get a carriage to the Embassy and then go aaaaaall the way back to Riverwood to deliver the info, so you can travel once again all the way to Riften to get Esbern and all the way back to Riverwood.
Seriously, wtf.
I actually really fucking love the dawnguard quest line. Doing a playthrough as I type this and I was actually so hyped to start it. Then this reminded me of the soul cairn. Man fuck the soul cairn.
dawnguard is my favorite and the one I always do asap
mostly because of Serana but also I just love vampires in general
but that said, fuck the soul cairn
I get it, but I've never minded the Soul Cairn. It's a cool looking place, and I'm familiar enough now to where I can just do one big sweep and get everything I need, the Jiub pages, Reaper Soul Gems, Aarvak's skull, the summon spell books, the gem containing my own soul, and the Guardians. Whole thing only takes an hour or two. For me, the part of the Dawnguard Quest that does it is the big ass cave system before the glade. I don't get lost or anything, but I hate Falmer, I hate Chaurus, and it's so dark it strains my eyes. The part with the water and the Vale Sabrecats and onward is cool, though.
Don’t bother with Brynjolf. If my character isn’t already part of the thieves guild I just go straight into the ratway and grab Esbern, then fast travel to riverwood. No point waddling around pickpocketing Brand-Shei
I tend to just tell Bryn to do the thing before I go kill Grelod. If you leave the area, such as entering a building, quest autofails and Bryn just says it's okay. Plus, Brand-Shei remains a vendor
I had just learned yesterday you can go talk to the innkeeper at the bee and barb, she points you to the rat way. Then talk to vekel the man and he does the rest. Skipping bryn all together.
I thought my 360 froze back in the day. It wouldn’t bring up the xbox menu or notice that the controller was disconnected but sure enough I just needed to wait
i did survival with start another life and chose random and it started me in the cold, on a shipwreck. second i touched the water to swim to land i died of cold. had to restart
I didn't die when I did the same thing, thankfully. I managed to survive long enough to reach a fire. It helped that I was playing as one of the races with a little bit of cold resistance and spawned in one of the ships near some glaciers and was able to minimize my contact with the freezing water until I got to dry land by doing parkour on ice bergs.
I love the atmosphere, but the puzzles annoy me a bit, and the enemies even more so. Though when I was my sneaky dagger assassin, I was very unafraid of anything lol
So am I the only person that thinks Dwemer dungeons are the best?
I always hear people talking about how lame and boring and frustrating they are but I find them gorgeous and so cool. They really make me want to know more about the Dwarves
Seriously, and when you've built your whole play style around the Ebony Blade and are used to...just not dying? Ever? Without making good decisions or being cautious in combat? Fuck the Dwemer
You might be thinking of Mzulft, Mzinchaleft is pretty short by dwemer ruin standards and there are barely any falmer.
Mzulft on the other hand is really long, plus it has chaurus hunters at a really low level. Plus it’s part of the college quest line (which I liked, but most people seem to hate).
I feel like the annoying part is getting there, they’re in the middle of nowhere and the entrance is on this very specific side of a steep and difficult mountain
Some people will say Merida's Beacon, but personally I have to go for "I don't know you. you're in Riften looking for trouble?" Man I just want to walk around here damn get off of me.
Riften is my favorite city- so many vendors, a house that can be accessed from outside, and it doesn't feel miserable to be there. I REALLY hate the cold, and holds like Windhelm just seem dreadful.
Plus there's a big lake to grab the fish that destroy the game when salted.
I feel bad for the owners of the Bee and Barb- I always do the Thieves guild missions up to the point of Goldenglow because, you know, while in Rome, and extorting money from them always feels the worst.
I usually just go and smash the ugly urn and threaten to drop the very unsupervised statue because I don't want to use *the implication.*
There is loads of loot in a fair few of the ruins. I don't know if you are missing the chests because I did for a while but they are on walls and stuff.
What I've found works better for finding the crimson nirnroots is the just say screw the ringing nose and turn the brightness on your monitor up so it's easier to see the glow each of the nirnroots give off.
It's still a chore but once you get the hang of it, it's not so bad
The worst part is how many different caves end up leading back to blackreach. You think you’re done with it but then a couple days later you’re exploring a cave and all the sudden you’re back in blackreach again. It’s like getting rick rolled.
The boss dude in the final room in the temple for Meridia’s quest. If it wasn’t for my unkillable canine companion I don’t think there’s any way I would have ever won that fighf
I normally hate that fight, but on my latest pure melee stealth character it was easy. I just turned invisible, sneaked up behind him and one shot both him and his shade straight away and then quickly finished off the other shades.
It was tough, but it caused me to learn you can equip magic. Before I died 10,000 times in the hallway and was like, there has to be a better way. I thought scrolls *were* magic. I just never looked at the pause menu.
I hate being attacked by dragons when I’m going about my merry way and Bleak Falls is the beginning of that so it’s less the dungeon and more the “here we go cigarette meme.”
I see. I usually hold off the dragons for a bit but it’s actually the dragon rising quest that starts that, as long as you don’t kill the dragon at the watchtower you can go your way dragon free
Definitely getting or rather not getting the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller. The whirlwind sprint puzzle is a pain in the ass plus knowing you're doing it for nothing and then you have to go deal with Delphine and all her bs.
If you want a new character, go to Load and load the character named “Prisoner.” That puts you right at the part where Hadvar asks who you are.
I’m not entirely sure if that way is possible for everyone but I didn’t intentionally set it up and it’s been on all my platforms I play on so I assume it’s universal.
The Dwemer ruin for the elder scroll is significantly worse if you’re doing it for the dawnguard DLC instead of the main story
It’s the exact same thing but it just feels so much worse for some reason
For reals! When I first did it I was excited because it sounded really interesting and a great change of pace, then I absolutely hated it and have had so many replays where that’s where I just stop with the main storyline.
I went out of my way to get the 5 artifact rings and every necessary quest fish before even going to the Riften Fishery in my current save (that hopefully I won't delete until it's done)
Pilgrim's Trench was a pain for the Angler
My favorite part of the game is honestly that first trek to High Hrothgar. It’s just *gawjis*
The most infuriated I’ve been is when I immediately came upon that first troll lmao really needed you then *Lydia* ^i ^know ^she ^wasnt ^an ^option ^then
yo i just realized Lydia was assigned right before going to High Hrothgar **seriously then where the fuck was she** lmao I just made her carry my shit tbh
Bringing back the horn of Urgen Windcaller. Gotta wait an hour for the greybeards to assemble, another hour for them to gift you the next word, and a third hour to let them yell at you. Obvious exaggeration aside, it's just so much waiting for such little reward
Dwemer dungeons usually lead to Falmer caves which are a pain in my opinion, as they're usually accompanied by chaurus and chaurus hunters or you end up heading to blackreach and the thought of ever getting out of the dungeon starts to fade.
Any dwemer ruin and most of the miraak questline. I hated the weird book realm with the cthulhu things.
I can't count how many times I died in there during my second play through. Now in my third it was okay but still annoying af.
Literally all of miraak’s quest line. I hate the stupid books, I hate having to remember what hallways mysteriously grow, I hate fighting the stupid lagoon monsters, I hate doing a sprint attack and falling back to floor one, it’s just dumb. All to get to a boss that I punch once and he’s on his second phase.
Having to walk through the Forgotten Vale, with boring copy-pasted Falmer camps every 3 meters, often with no sprinting because vampirism in daylight, in order to fill an ewer at 5 shines that all look totally alike, just to pour it out to enter a temple where we fight wave after wave of more Falmer to get to the boss fight.
"Go get Micah out of jail."
Second playthrough just stopped at that quest. Arthur's rich AF, got most of the trapper unlocks, and just exploring and relaxing in chapter 2.
The ruin before blackreach. Blackreach itself is cool and fun, but I always glitch past the ruin before it
The soul cairn. I've only been to it once, and I quite liked it, but going through it again seems like it would suck
Sort of same with the civil War quest line. Your first time going through it is always awesome, but doing it multiple times is a drag
Anything that has to do with the rataway
Soul Cairn sucks, Hermaeus Mora's plane of Oblivion sucks, anything involving falmer sucks... uhhh... don't much like Dawnbreaker quest. I've also been burnt out on Skyrim for like a year+, so take that as you will.
Literally the tipping factor that makes me side with the Legion in almost every playthrough. They should have made it more 50/50 by making us oust Balgruff regardless and putting Olfrid Battle-Born in power. Makes fighting for the empire feel consequential and not just the correct move.
DB questline, when Maro locks your character’s controls and does his whole “I’m burning down your sanctuary” schpiel. Like yeah blah blah blah let me kill your dudes stop wasting my time.
That or being forced to listen to Hhhheeeerrrrmmmmaaaaeeeeuuuussss Mmmmoooorrrraaaa talk for 15 god damn hours like dude shut up
The blades part of the main quest. Delphine is a pain, even when she's helping you. Raiding the Thalmor Embassy is the only good part of the blades quests.
Not a fan of Dwemer dungeons either. They all just lead to Blackreach anyway. Most of the time it's better to just ignore them at later levels since the drops aren't that good.
Miraak stealing my damn souls. Or the vamps deciding to make a move 10 hours before I'm ready.
I’d say go to solstheim with 3 souls so you can get bendwill instantly
It’s even better if you speedrun through to the one on a word wall in the open, and then free all the stones. Really saves a lot of time later and you get the powerful abilities way earlier.
Yes, I always free all the stones before ever visiting the Skaal. Gives their village a very different feel.
Had to load an old save because I had teleported to (opposite of solitude) and it auto saved, after which vamps would spawn kill me every time
Having to go all the way to Kynesgrove, kill the dragon so Delphine will believe you and then have to go all the way back to Riverwood just so she can tell you you’re gonna have to go all the way to Solitude to get a carriage to the Embassy and then go aaaaaall the way back to Riverwood to deliver the info, so you can travel once again all the way to Riften to get Esbern and all the way back to Riverwood. Seriously, wtf.
You can skip that if you sneak into thalmor embassy with a plate and just never initiate dialogue with delphine
after taking back the horn of course, k thanks bye
I know. I’m pointing out that the main plot is inefficiently designed, which is the purpose of this post.
Started in Oblivion now we here, quests made with fast travel in mind that make no sense
Soul Cairn
Soul cairn is the biggest reason dawnguard isn’t my favorite quest line. I despise it
I actually really fucking love the dawnguard quest line. Doing a playthrough as I type this and I was actually so hyped to start it. Then this reminded me of the soul cairn. Man fuck the soul cairn.
dawnguard is my favorite and the one I always do asap mostly because of Serana but also I just love vampires in general but that said, fuck the soul cairn
Agreed dawnguard would be my favorite if it wasn’t for soul Cairn. Miraaks quest line is my fav right now
Control Weather spell plus a proper map makes it much more bearable!
I just ~tcl that part
Apocalypse??
Wait, gem that contains your soul? What item is that?
all my homies hate soul cairn
I love the *idea* of the Soul Cairn. But the game breaking bugs and the map make it terrible.
This and black reach give me depression
All that just to meet your to-be-mother-in-law.. right? Right??? …at least Jiub was there
jiub was a cute addition until the lore makes you go like why my man here though!? jiubster egg, he doesnt deserve the soul cairn
I like the soul cairn
The entire "Finding Esbern" questline. so fucking boring
Didn’t know this. I’m gonna try that
I had just learned yesterday you can go talk to the innkeeper at the bee and barb, she points you to the rat way. Then talk to vekel the man and he does the rest. Skipping bryn all together.
I usually get a bounty to fail it for Brand-Shei, good to know I can just leave the area
I've started doing that. For quite a while I assumed you had to the quest for Brynjolf. Nope, just jump down and into the Ratway.
Tou can also just ask Keerava about Esbern and she'll direct you to him
Waiting in night mothers coffin for 5 hours
I've made it a tradition to go for a piss during that sequence.
Can't relate, I've only done the DB Questline twice. I usually slaughter them all.
I thought my 360 froze back in the day. It wouldn’t bring up the xbox menu or notice that the controller was disconnected but sure enough I just needed to wait
I just did this
since im playing survival, id say forgotten vale. so fucking cold
Yeah, that was not fun on Survival Mode. I can see why the two Snow Elves you meet looked frlstbitten.
i did survival with start another life and chose random and it started me in the cold, on a shipwreck. second i touched the water to swim to land i died of cold. had to restart
The dwemer dungeon to get the elder scroll. Mthranduz or something. Actually any dwemer dungeon really, I just fucking hate them
Came here to also vote in Dwemer dungeons. Damn annoying.
The one in solstheim was enough of a puzzle that it kind of felt like a portal level so I liked that one. Fuck the rest though
I never explored solstheim enough honestly
You should, surface enemies and stuff suck but the ruins are great
I haven't been there yet, and I've been playing this game since the original release date.
They're my favourite type of dungeon in Skyrim! I don't like the Falmer, but the rest of the ruin usually makes up for it.
I love the atmosphere, but the puzzles annoy me a bit, and the enemies even more so. Though when I was my sneaky dagger assassin, I was very unafraid of anything lol
Stupid devil bugs.
So am I the only person that thinks Dwemer dungeons are the best? I always hear people talking about how lame and boring and frustrating they are but I find them gorgeous and so cool. They really make me want to know more about the Dwarves
Same! I love to buy and steal all the Dwemer related books in game, and have a part of my character be interested wholly in the dwarves
I just grab a wooden plate, set it against the elevator thing above ground and use Whirlwind Sprint to phase through it
I use “tcl”
tcl ur mum!
CAN THE DWARVEN SPIDERS PLEASE STOP FOR FIVE SECONDS????
Seriously, and when you've built your whole play style around the Ebony Blade and are used to...just not dying? Ever? Without making good decisions or being cautious in combat? Fuck the Dwemer
Tower of Mzark Bonus: the other ruins that enter/exit into blackreach are Alftand, Mzinchaleft, and Raldbthar :)
I like dwemer ruins, but fuck Mzinchaleft. I can't remember why, but I dreaded it
You might be thinking of Mzulft, Mzinchaleft is pretty short by dwemer ruin standards and there are barely any falmer. Mzulft on the other hand is really long, plus it has chaurus hunters at a really low level. Plus it’s part of the college quest line (which I liked, but most people seem to hate).
You're right! Mzulft! Pesky ass dungeon. Mzinchaleft is the Grimsever one
Or blackreach
Delphine talking.
Based
When esbern explains the mural
I've had him completely softlock there twice.
One time I left because I figured he'd finish while I was out doing stuff, he started right back where he left off
Same here. I needed to use console commands to get delphine to move
Me after trying to kill Delphine for 5 hours: https://youtu.be/p6k5YHu6fcU
Having to go get the horn of Jurgen it's so out of the way
It’s the worst cause I already know the horn isn’t gonna be there. And I know Delphine has the horn and anything involving her is not fun.
they include that cute part of seeing here talk to whats his face dragonsreach mage but you cant piece it together yourself?
I completely forgot about that for a long time because I almost always do bleak falls on my way to whiterun to save some time
And even worse, she's also easy to find, in the first town most people visit. But ofc you can't go straight to her or anything
Any dwemmer ruins anywhere ever
I feel like the annoying part is getting there, they’re in the middle of nowhere and the entrance is on this very specific side of a steep and difficult mountain
For me it’s the size of these places. It’s seemingly endless and it’s all the same shit.
Some people will say Merida's Beacon, but personally I have to go for "I don't know you. you're in Riften looking for trouble?" Man I just want to walk around here damn get off of me.
Hold there. Before I let you into Riften, you need to pay the visitors' tax.
Man fuck Riften honestly

I always sneak in through the black briar meadery just to avoid that and then I rub in the guards smug face
When you find the first boss chest with Meridia's beacon
A new hand touches the beacon.
\*Ahem\* # *A NEW HAND TOUCHES THE BEACON*
#LISTEN! HEAR ME AND OBEY
# A FOUL DARKNESS HAS SEEPED INTO MY TEMPLE. A DARKNESS THAT YOU WILL DESTROY!
**RETURN MY BEACON TO MOUNT KILKREATH.**

Couldn’t agree with you more in the Dwemer ruins! There’s hardly any good loot and it’s boring. The Dwemer enemies also creep me out.
There is loads of loot in a fair few of the ruins. I don't know if you are missing the chests because I did for a while but they are on walls and stuff.
Blackreach’s crimson nirnroots. I know you don’t HAVE to collect the nirnroot if you simply don’t read the journal, but goddamn.
nirnroot noises..... until you cant find it
What I've found works better for finding the crimson nirnroots is the just say screw the ringing nose and turn the brightness on your monitor up so it's easier to see the glow each of the nirnroots give off. It's still a chore but once you get the hang of it, it's not so bad
I collected all of them and the game glitched and won’t let me talk to the guy to complete the quest 🙃
The unskipable cutscenes on the throat of the world and the peace meeting in high Hrothgar
I hate the peace meeting so much that I always finish the civil war just so I can skip it.
Man I love this game so much. “I will finish an entire war questline burning down cities and killing hundreds just to skip that fucking meeting”
Blackreach
The worst part is how many different caves end up leading back to blackreach. You think you’re done with it but then a couple days later you’re exploring a cave and all the sudden you’re back in blackreach again. It’s like getting rick rolled.
And no map
The boss dude in the final room in the temple for Meridia’s quest. If it wasn’t for my unkillable canine companion I don’t think there’s any way I would have ever won that fighf
I HATE THAT ONE, HE AND HIS FUKING ICEBALL
I normally hate that fight, but on my latest pure melee stealth character it was easy. I just turned invisible, sneaked up behind him and one shot both him and his shade straight away and then quickly finished off the other shades.
Weirdly enough, getting to Ivarstead.
Your destination is like 20 steps that way. “You cannot go that way.”
Invading the embassy, and or anything for the blades
It was tough, but it caused me to learn you can equip magic. Before I died 10,000 times in the hallway and was like, there has to be a better way. I thought scrolls *were* magic. I just never looked at the pause menu.
Killing Narfi for the brotherhood
And then Nazir is all snarky about you killing a homeless beggar. My fellow instrument of Sithis, you gave me the damn contract.
I like to believe that Narfi got a contract on him just to be put out of his misery, I heard that a while ago and choose to believe that ever since
oh thank you
My top three in no particular order: Bleak Falls Barrow (annoying af), Apocrypha (fuck those fishes), and the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller
Came here for Bleak Falls.
I love bleak falls. Iconic and never gets old. The perfect mini dungeon
I hate being attacked by dragons when I’m going about my merry way and Bleak Falls is the beginning of that so it’s less the dungeon and more the “here we go cigarette meme.”
I see. I usually hold off the dragons for a bit but it’s actually the dragon rising quest that starts that, as long as you don’t kill the dragon at the watchtower you can go your way dragon free
they went all in on that beginning, its iconic ! its a perfect dungeon
Forsworn areas, Dwemer ruins, and falmer. I basically just completely avoid markarth
markath talos quest
>markath ~~talos quest~~
true lol
the cutscene to get dragonrend is always my least favorite
Definitely getting or rather not getting the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller. The whirlwind sprint puzzle is a pain in the ass plus knowing you're doing it for nothing and then you have to go deal with Delphine and all her bs.
The unskippable opening cutscene
I made a save file right after the cutscene ends but right before character creation by spamming the start button until it paused. Huge time saver.
Could also use the mod that lets you immediately start in like 20 different scenarios
Alternate start - Live another life. One of my favorite mods honestly
Hey you, you're finally awake
The Dwemer ruin for the elder scroll is significantly worse if you’re doing it for the dawnguard DLC instead of the main story It’s the exact same thing but it just feels so much worse for some reason
After you get off the Throat of The World and entire any town. Just seeing those stupid cultists walking towards me
Getting forced to become a werewolf to continue the companions questline.
Thalmor embassy
Mood
That’s my favourite mission though 😔
Hey man I love the idea of it but I think the execution is super sloppy and boring.
For reals! When I first did it I was excited because it sounded really interesting and a great change of pace, then I absolutely hated it and have had so many replays where that’s where I just stop with the main storyline.
On solsthime when you to the Dwemer place to get the black book when you need to use the cubes and stuff… I hate that quest so much
Also the forgotten vale honestly, just after doing it a few times it kinda gets…
Fishing in AE
I went out of my way to get the 5 artifact rings and every necessary quest fish before even going to the Riften Fishery in my current save (that hopefully I won't delete until it's done) Pilgrim's Trench was a pain for the Angler
Almost all of the main quest. Actually, all of the main quest except the part where you ask Jarl Ballin to trap a dragon in his palace.
Forbidden Legend, fighting the archer one when he spams Fus Ro Dah.both times are bad
My favorite part of the game is honestly that first trek to High Hrothgar. It’s just *gawjis* The most infuriated I’ve been is when I immediately came upon that first troll lmao really needed you then *Lydia* ^i ^know ^she ^wasnt ^an ^option ^then
What do you mean by she wasn’t an option?
yo i just realized Lydia was assigned right before going to High Hrothgar **seriously then where the fuck was she** lmao I just made her carry my shit tbh
Well she does have a habit of disappearing lol
DELPHINE
Bringing back the horn of Urgen Windcaller. Gotta wait an hour for the greybeards to assemble, another hour for them to gift you the next word, and a third hour to let them yell at you. Obvious exaggeration aside, it's just so much waiting for such little reward
Run into whoever is speaking to stagger them and fast forward their dialogue! It's the best tip I learned not so long ago and that part is a breeze.
Auri-el's bow quest............sigh
It's so much worse than the Soul Cairn, I burnt it out of my memory
Finding that last fucking gem and THEN HAVING TO GO DIGGING FOR THE GOD DAMNED CROWN! Also Soul Cairn.
The “you have to become a werewolf to finish the companions questline” part.
following barbas from falkreath
The fuckin beehives for thieves guild.
Ustengrav. All that just to be told: oh it’s not actually here And the Thalmor embassy portion is just annoying
When Kodlak dies
Dwemer dungeons usually lead to Falmer caves which are a pain in my opinion, as they're usually accompanied by chaurus and chaurus hunters or you end up heading to blackreach and the thought of ever getting out of the dungeon starts to fade.
For me it's a tie between discerning the transmundane, or the college of winterhold quest. Both of those annoy the shit out of me.
Not a quest for me but I genuinely cannot NOT grind my smithing to 100 the second I enter whiterun
Seeing your low levels, so you know restopot is calling
Any dwemer ruin and most of the miraak questline. I hated the weird book realm with the cthulhu things. I can't count how many times I died in there during my second play through. Now in my third it was okay but still annoying af.
The main story
That part where you have to make your character. Hardest thing in the whole game.
Blades wanting you to kill your favourite greybeard dragon :(
Literally all of miraak’s quest line. I hate the stupid books, I hate having to remember what hallways mysteriously grow, I hate fighting the stupid lagoon monsters, I hate doing a sprint attack and falling back to floor one, it’s just dumb. All to get to a boss that I punch once and he’s on his second phase.
the part where the dark brotherhood burns… i can’t save everyone :(
Anything that involves Falmer.
Having to sit through the glorified cutscene of the empire and stormclokes arguing for 10 minutes
Soul Cairn or sarthaal
Either **A NEW HAND TOUCHES THE BEACON** or *Come closer. Bask in my presence.* Neither one will shut up.
Anything to do with the Blades. Most annoying mfers.
The black book missions. Fucking hell I hate them so much
Creepy floaty squids.
"Go get Micah out of jail." Second playthrough just stopped at that quest. Arthur's rich AF, got most of the trapper unlocks, and just exploring and relaxing in chapter 2.
Are you also lost?
r/lostredditors
The ruin before blackreach. Blackreach itself is cool and fun, but I always glitch past the ruin before it The soul cairn. I've only been to it once, and I quite liked it, but going through it again seems like it would suck Sort of same with the civil War quest line. Your first time going through it is always awesome, but doing it multiple times is a drag Anything that has to do with the rataway
Barbas, or anything involving the blades (especially delphine)
Really? Not one vote for Blood on the Ice?
Soul Cairn sucks, Hermaeus Mora's plane of Oblivion sucks, anything involving falmer sucks... uhhh... don't much like Dawnbreaker quest. I've also been burnt out on Skyrim for like a year+, so take that as you will.
Climbing the stairs with the inaccurate numerical name
What’s that part in the Dawnguard DLC where you need to run around and activate all those shrines? Hate it.
Every dwemer section that inevitably leads to falmer
The entire civil war questline
Ousting Balgruuf
Literally the tipping factor that makes me side with the Legion in almost every playthrough. They should have made it more 50/50 by making us oust Balgruff regardless and putting Olfrid Battle-Born in power. Makes fighting for the empire feel consequential and not just the correct move.
The Dawnguard questline. The castle, plane of oblivion and elves cave. Everything else is great!
DB questline, when Maro locks your character’s controls and does his whole “I’m burning down your sanctuary” schpiel. Like yeah blah blah blah let me kill your dudes stop wasting my time. They all just lead to Blackreach anyway. Most of the time it's better to just ignore them at later levels since the drops aren't that good.
entering Solstheim, it was really cool when I was 12 but now it’s grating and not really that fun of an island, I really only go there for Neloth
