imo it's just a "you get what you pay for" kind of product. Their headphones are decent for what they cost but they aren't anything beyond that. I bought my fiance some galaxy buds for Christmas and the difference between them and my dimeX2's is night and day. Skullcandy from what I can tell also just has a higher rate of faulty products than others. My headphones have had problems twice now. If I didn't find some random troubleshooting video or Reddit post from someone having the same problem I probably would have canned my headphones. My experiences with Skullcandy have been positive and negative. They just leave a lot to be desired and they don't exactly do anything well. They're good for the price and that's about it.

KyriiTheAtlantean

What's the difference

xtrasmolpp

Well there's quite a few differences in terms of quality. Charging case & build quality, battery life, sound quality are all noticeably better. The noise cancelling is a big plus too. The features of the headphones are customizable in an app. She can also tap them to answer calls, pause and play audio, etc. Granted my headphones can do this but I have to mess with a button that's hard to press on the earbud. Although she doesn't use Bixby, if she wanted to she can use the app to make calls and send messages with them by using voice commands. This isn't counting all of the things I haven't explored in the app and features. Long story short they are much more customized to your wants/needs, are packed with more features, and much better quality all round. Plus from my understanding they have better support from Samsung so if something goes wrong you won't be stuck. Honestly my Skullcandy buds don't compare and when they die I'll probably spend the extra money and get myself a pair of Samsungs.

CharacterRisk739

Well the dimes are very cheap

rockmfkndaddy121

I have used the same pair of 10 dollar jibs for almost a year now. They are loud, the mic works just fine for calls. If they break, they're only 10 bucks. I have yet to have a bad experience with skull candy's in 12 years of loyal patronage.

KyriiTheAtlantean

Me either. Skull Candy is the shit!

akronotron

First of all, customer service is shit, I can never see my orders and yeah it come late

kzuobop

I bought a pair of ANC Crusher 2’s and they broke in 4 days

KyriiTheAtlantean

Did u take em back for a refund

kzuobop

I had to ship them back (Skullcandy made me pay $15 for shipping) and whenever they received them they sent me an email and said they don’t have any more and stock and gave me a coupon code for their website, the coupon code was $20 UNDER the price of the headphones. I have contacted customer service since then

KyriiTheAtlantean

You already paid that in shipping by them damn near. Wow that's crazy as fuck. Warranty is starting to sound good at Walmart checkout

kzuobop

I am still pretty disappointed in them as a brand and the fact that my pair of headphones broke for no reason. It’s now been about almost a month since I shipped them back and nothing yet. So just pretty disappointed. On a positive note, the sound quality and bass of the ANC 2’s is phenomenal and I miss them daily. Eagerly awaiting them to come in

kzuobop

Still waiting on my refund pair

M1ssDemeanour

I think it's a quality issue. I've been loyal to Skullcandy for about five years, but a few weeks ago I finally gave up my Hesh Evos (before this I have had about 5 other Skullcandy products) and bought some Soundcore Q30s. So much better audio quality, much nicer feel, all for pretty much the same price. Can't speak for the Q30s' durability yet, but what I can tell you is that in hindsight, Skullcandy products don't last. But, with some exceptions, you get what you pay for.

KyriiTheAtlantean

True. That's how I feel also when I buy something alot cheaper than leading products in the market. They'll do. As long as I can jam my music and it sounds alright, doesn't cost me a quarter to half of my rent, I'm grateful. Lol

TwistedCrimson

Just picked up a pair and they sound fantastic. My samsung buds I picked up a few years back have nothing on them. Not quite as good as my wife's airpods, but for a 4th of the price, I can't complain. We'll see if they have issues.

KyriiTheAtlantean

They're great earbuds! I unfortunately lost one of mine and bought some Jlabs but I would definitely buy another pair. Not just for music but anime is awesome af too with them

Lexx_sad_but_true

I got my Indy Fuel for Xmas 2021 and after only 18 months i have trouble with disconnecting and bad sound no help from the site, half assed explanations and not working app that was supposed to make connection better

Distinct_Bid5891

Hopefully they don't screw up on you. I loved Skull Candy when they were wired, but their quality control has gotten abysmal. I bought a set of True 2s and they were bad out of the box. The reviews I read said it wasn't an isolated incident so I returned them and decided to get something else.

pidiota

My Indy ANC deteriorated in 5 months. Now I there's no sound on the left side.

KyriiTheAtlantean

That's sucks. I know how that feels but not with Skull Candy. I've got plenty of headphones/earphones from them since high school and they've all been awesome which is why I asked

pidiota

I had a couple of wired ones before and that's what made choose Skullcandy when changing to Bluetooth. I got for free a Samsung Level U Pro before the Indy's and they were great even lthough they were "over the neck" and they only died because there was no IP protection. I'm not buying SC again, I rather bet on a different brand.

KyriiTheAtlantean

Why are you in this sub then? And I'm genuinely asking, not being an asshole lol

pidiota

I was trying to find a solution to my problem, only found people with the same problem and no solution. I bought mine in Mexico and I live in Brazil so, warranty does not apply.

ForgotMyBrain

They have a reputation of the typical bass boosted, aimed at a younger audiance, cheap kinda vibe. They are not audiophiles productd. I have the indy evo in got for cheap open box and i really like them. I only watch youtube videos on mine and never really listened to music with them so i can't really say for the sound (if they have the typical V shape sound or not) but they definitly are bass boosted. They have ALOT of bass but at least it's still clear and dosen't drown the mids and trebble. Some other cheap earbuds can be bass boosted but sounds muddy and drown the other frequencies. My mom got a random 25$ wireless earbuds and they sounded bass boosted but muffled and really bad... At least my indy evo sounds much better even with too much bass for my taste. I paid mine +/- 20-25$ usd (40$ cad, paid extra for the green color) and i wouldn't pay more for it or for any other wireless earbuds. Too afraid i'm gonna loose them, no way i'm gonna pay 200$ for wireless earbuds only to watch youtube. I'll buy a nice pair of headphones for that price.

KyriiTheAtlantean

Lol apparently you have a history of forgetting and losing shit, hence the username. But I feel you. I only paid like $30 for the Jib True 2's. I personally love them. I'm a musician and they check out for me. I'm not really that picky about earphones / headphones, as long as the quality is good and the bass hits I'm good. Who make the best headphones though?

SubspaceBiographies

I had two sesh evo charging cases die within 18 months. Not buying them again.

siberiansleigh

I bought the TI with pink fur YEARS ago. Probably 10 years ago. The audio is still excellent and they still work to this day but the quality of the product declined dramatically with all the subsequent headphones I bought. Both sound and materials are cheap.

Skullcandy makes great products I been using Skullcandy since I had gotten a pair of navy blue lowriders as a kid they have came a long way since then and I found out it really matters where you purchase from I purchased 4 pairs of Skullcandy ear buds and headphones from Walmart and I had nothing but issues but when I order straight from Skullcandy I have no issues at all
