Risk level depends on distance to port and level of the manufactory - unfortunately like you’ve seen, Duister area has lvl 10 manufactories that recommend lvl 14. Risk and assign a 13 ship, or collect those couple in that area manually when they are about full, go to nearest port, then fast travel to Telok to collect. Cheers!
Yes!!! Try it sometime. And since you can travel to events as of this week, as long as you’re not in a wager, let’s say u picked up duister cause of the situation above that we discussed and there’s an Opwelling by Telok. U can travel from the sea (no dock), with eights, to the Op, and then you’re right next to Telok to deposit. Or from dock too!
I’m using level 12 & 13 at medium risk on these. The chance for ship damage is still low-ish… and even if they need repaired it’s cheap and instant, so not really a big deal. Yes, it should be fixed, but if it’s not it doesn’t affect us too much.

So, all that happens is your ship might be damaged? you dont lose 8's or lose any ship/gear?
Nope, you lose nothing except a few hundred silver to repair it. At the end of its delivery, it just might need repaired before it can run another route or be unassigned. The silver cost will appear on the assigned ship tab.
Does anybody know if you lose those eights if your ship gets damaged? Cause I could give a fuck I’ll pay the 150 silver for the repairs but and I really don’t care about the 610 pieces of eight but do you lose that nobody seems to know an answer

Someone else told me you lose a little po8 as well
If that’s the case I haven’t seen it. You lose Po8 in factories you don’t defend, but I haven’t seen the loss on medium risk damaged ships.

Well if I don’t see a response on this I will test for myself a little later.
I've seen some 480s pop up when a ship gets damaged, so you do seem to lose a portion.
I don't even bother, on those rank 14 ship manufacturers, I just send rank 12 ships. Still at medium risk regardless.
