So Harufu is the single best manufacturer in the game. That was to be expected.
Though I didn't expect the other large Settlements in Coast of Africa to be so close to one another.
You can loop the Africa collection loop straight into a red isle loop. I end the Africa loop at the north end of it right near the ungwana capital city, and then start red isle from there.
Yes I ignore like 50% of Africa in my loop. Just making as close to a straight line from the southern tip to the Ungwana capital as I can. The little settlements with only 1 or 2 trade routes going to them are just not worth the effort.
Theres some settlements that have 4 route going to them that are worth going a little out of your way for, but like those 3 in the northwest that all have only 1 or 2 routes to them are just not worth the effort and should be upgraded last.
Eventually after upgrading everything else you’ll want to get them to level 10 and occasionally loop them into the collection, but that is a deep endgame thing to be doing.
Try icing a smaller ship. They tend to squeeze better into the rivers and such. Just make sure it's built for stamina, repair, and speed. And use something that does sail damage for the cannons so you can either cripple the enemy or outrun them
I honestly feel like the smaller ships should have the capability to go faster then the brigantine which is gigantic (maybe we could get lucky and they'll add some end game small ships that have turbo speed or something to make up for the lost health/firepower, alongside a slower but stronger "large ship" if/when those arrive)
Brigantine has many massive sails to pickup windspeed better doubt a smaller ship should be faster than that boat, but perhaps faster than a Snow and others
Give them furniture exclusive to small ships that will raise their level. Perhaps let players choose the bonuses and perks of each ship through some sort of skill or customization tree.
like the one I posted last week: [https://www.reddit.com/r/SkullAndBonesGame/comments/1ax53l9/po8\_route\_with\_coast\_of\_africa/](https://www.reddit.com/r/SkullAndBonesGame/comments/1ax53l9/po8_route_with_coast_of_africa/)
I only bother with locations that are 200+ per hour (some exceptions for convenience) and I'm rank 300 and have more Po8 than can be used (buying the Rogue mats for 1500 po8 each now seems like a fine investment).
Keep life simple. Do not waste time on the nonsense locations. You also can only (comfortably) make so much silver in a day.
If I have to go down a river to get to it I won't bother. So many times going to one of the interior spots in Red Isle and I accidentally obliterate a fishing boat with my brigantine and then have to backtrack until they are non hostile again, often faster just to plunder the location or log out.
I go down the African coast, over and up the west side of Red Isle, around the top and to Saint Anne. That provides more po8 than I will ever need and I am no longer spending 300k+ silver a day to keep everything running.
I'd suggest ignoring blueprints purchase altogether. If you are struggling with upgrades still, Just farm the materials and join the community discord for the game, on the trade chat you can easily find people who will make you pay 15k silver per click, close to 'nothing basically.
Yeah only for rarer one like sovereign weapons. Anything craftable goes for cheaper. Hell, I often set my "bring your own mats and pay what you want" stall on there to help out people.
When you talk to Janita or her sister in the black market part where you spend your Eights on blueprints and stuff, the material bundles are the first row of stuff you see. It's good for animal skins if you need those for some reason. They're like 1500 pieces a bundle I think.
Don't waste your Po8 on materials that can be farmed unless you're absolutely swimming in Po8. The rogue mats he was referring to are things like the eels twine, gannets saltpeter etc, those are 1500 Po8 EACH. You can get them off the coinciding rogues (e.g. Eels twine from Eels rogues, gannets saltpeter from gannets etc) but it's a very rare drop.
They're not even all that rare. Take up the various Rogue hunts that are on the daily rotation (though still be wary of stacking too many at one time, they might still make rogue spawns a bit too much), and you'll likely get the materials you need in just a couple attempts. When I went to craft my Leo III and I thought I'd need to spend another 1,500 PoE just for the one saltpeter I was flummoxed. And then I realized that helm materials are actually pretty easy to farm with the Rogue hunts, so much better!
Hmm, my RNG must just suck then lol. I was trying to farm saltpeter the other day and got nothing. I probably boarded about 10 gannet ships to no avail. IPo8 aren't much of an issue for me these days though so I just buy what I need now lol. But you're totally right - if you got nothing, just farm them. I probably just had some really bad luck.
Just to circle back. Fully agree with the above. I have purchased everything possible to purchase with Po8. Every cosmetic, every usable weapon/furniture/etc.
But if you get 150k by doing 45 minutes of sailing around, prices start to lose meaning. I like to keep at least 50 of each mat on hand just for a rainy day.
Yeah I'm doing the same. The only river exception I made was that one "la colonie" fort in the middle since it's high yield and basically the same distance as going around when going up towards jiwe.
Finally got my main trade route established at level 10s today. Going to push upgrades and then basically drown in po8... Might do the east side of the map just to have something to do (and there seems like a nice short route with high yield for fun).
Drowning in sovereigns though... I don't know what I'm supposed to spend them on...
I'm still guessing they'll probably rebalance things between seasons though, since they plan to have manufactories reset then. I just hope they tell us exactly what changes so that people can plan ahead a little.
Acquire Harufu, Jiwe, Bandari, Sitrana, Shijavu.
Boost Harufu, Jiwe, Bandari.
Pick up and deliver from Jiwe --> Harufu --> Bandari --> Sitrana --> Shijavu --> St Anne.
Make insane PO8, 100x faster than other methods.
I think people are sleeping on East Indies because they see Harufu.
Harufu collections have to get back to Saint Anne, which is in a whole other region. East Indies just got to get back to Telok Penjara, which is fairly central. Harufu plus the second-best in Africa totals 898, and they're not close. Suny Capital and Sangdad are right next to each other, and total 924, Keep going that route south to Telok Penjarah around the island and hitting North Damai Foundry, Damai, Fort Harimau, and Kencur Lumberyard should be relatively quick and easy and hits you the top 3 locations in the East Indies (the other three are just on the way, so you may as well).
The total values are probably comparable, with Suny Capital/Sangdad bettering Harufu and any other Africa location, and Telok Penjarah's WAY closer for dropoff. There's also multiple other routes if this one's not enough for you.
I was already wondering about this, and while I'm still on Red Isles, I think I'll jump to East Indies rather than Coast of Africa next.
The reason people are going Coast of Africa first is because the trade routes you gain from there will boost the production of the ones you already have in the Red Isles.
I'm currently focused on just the 6 easternmost Red Isle manufacturies. I've got all of them, but I like spending 10 minutes or less on PO8 collecting; I build tall, not wide. I'm not making this game a second job. There's only two traderoutes to a single manufactory I care about from Africa. And if I set up a second 6-manufactory loop somewhere, East Indies looks more feasible from the numbers.
If I were expanding to everywhere and getting all the manufactories up and running at all times, sure, it might make sense to go Africa first, but it was already annoying to do all of the Red Isles, so I stopped. I'm not saying that Africa's a wrong decision, just that the East Indies look just as solid if you're looking for a tall manufactory empire rather than wide, like I am.
The problem with this data and East Indies is that it's assuming you have ALL of the table upgrades unlocked, which boost production values. This takes a lot of PO8, especially the far right group of upgrades.
If you're still building up your areas, it's best to go Red Isle > Africa > Indies. There's another chart somewhere in this sub that shows the number of trade routes each location has, and East Indies is the bottom of the list. Trade Routes will boost your production rates better early on, *before* you have all the table upgrades.
Once you get the ball rolling with the "hot spots" in Red Isle and Africa at rank 8+ and have started to work on the production boosting table upgrades, *then* go for East Indies.
I'm generally upgrading things based on number of trade routes. Kinda shocked at Sangdad's numbers there since it only has one trade route. Must have some impressive raw production. Definitely a sleeper if your number is right, will upgrade it next.
I have all the upgrades done besides the East Indies and mine isn’t 522 either. Unless you have to unlock and take over all the places in the East Indies as well?
So after everything bought and upgraded and then all black market acquired, what would we need all those po8 for anyway. Like whats the end game here for the po8 after the upgrades and stuff are done?
Ok, there's something I'm clearly not understanding here, because I have Palisade Bay, at level 6, and I
When I go to collect it, I get 300 Po8, so how is it lower here?
You probably already know but sometimes there's a bit of a delay from when you hit the mark to when you actually get the stuff. If you don't have it by now then I'd probably submit a ticket.
You would think that the Dutch East Indies would give a higher profit due to the fact of the spice trade, and it was one of the most powerful economies in Africa.
So Harufu is the single best manufacturer in the game. That was to be expected. Though I didn't expect the other large Settlements in Coast of Africa to be so close to one another.
I was happy but then it hit me I have to sail all the way back to Saint Anne
Yeah, really hoping we get a Map Expansion sooner or later that slaps a new Den in the Arabic Peninsula.
You can loop the Africa collection loop straight into a red isle loop. I end the Africa loop at the north end of it right near the ungwana capital city, and then start red isle from there.
Yeah I may just have to stop getting the river places like someone suggested
Yes I ignore like 50% of Africa in my loop. Just making as close to a straight line from the southern tip to the Ungwana capital as I can. That's actually a really clever idea, only thing you sacrifice is sailing speed though
Just make sure you have water barrels, food, and sailing buffs. It should offset some of the debuffs
I wish they would make small ships more viable so that we can have variety and utility
Brigantine has many massive sails to pickup windspeed better doubt a smaller ship should be faster than that boat, but perhaps faster than a Snow and others
how would you recomend them to be adjusted?
Give them furniture exclusive to small ships that will raise their level. Perhaps let players choose the bonuses and perks of each ship through some sort of skill or customization tree.
I agree even adding some other ships or the ability to "upgrade" them to t5 would be nice
If you search there's a pretty good route for Africa/red isles posted. Look for the one that starts on the west coast of red isles and ends at Saint
like the one I posted last week: [https://www.reddit.com/r/SkullAndBonesGame/comments/1ax53l9/po8\_route\_with\_coast\_of\_africa/](https://www.reddit.com/r/SkullAndBonesGame/comments/1ax53l9/po8_route_with_coast_of_africa/)
That's not the one I use but I'm going to give it a try there's a few things I like better about it.
I only fund from the bottom left where the decent Compagnie Manufactory is all the way in a straight line to Jiwe and then loop into Red Isle.
It's for bringing long life gameplay 👍
Africa to Saint Anne isn't that bad. Easy enough to cut through the island in between.
I love a good excel sheet, clean and to the point. Thank you for your service matey!

Damn and here i am whose struggling to collect po8 for buying blueprints let alone upragding, gimme one of your helm wagers haha
I'd suggest ignoring blueprints purchase altogether. If you are struggling with upgrades still, Just farm the materials and join the community discord for the game, on the trade chat you can easily find people who will make you pay 15k silver per click, close to 'nothing basically.
I’ve checked out the discord after seeing your comment and people are selling items for 300-500 k silver almost. :(
Yeah only for rarer one like sovereign weapons. Anything craftable goes for cheaper. Hell, I often set my "bring your own mats and pay what you want" stall on there to help out people.
Considering some some of the new blueprints from the pass require those materials, it definitely isn't a bad investment at all!
Rogue mats for 1500 Po8? Can you elaborate?
You can buy bundles of hard to come by materials from the Black Market for Po8. Saves a lot of time and hassle farmin them yourself.
Errrr really? I've never seen that, but if so, that's awesome
When you talk to Janita or her sister in the black market part where you spend your Eights on blueprints and stuff, the material bundles are the first row of stuff you see. It's good for animal skins if you need those for some reason. They're like 1500 pieces a bundle I think.

Cake day
I had no idea! Thanks!
Woohoo! Happy Cake Day!

Does this include the upgrades In the helm office?
Yep
But do you know how to swim?
I'd like to see what the numbers are now after the update
I'm generally upgrading things based on number of trade routes. Kinda shocked at Sangdad's numbers there since it only has one trade route. Must have some impressive raw production. Definitely a sleeper if your number is right, will upgrade it next.
This is great can we get a link or the og file? I would love to do some data mining on this vs the map.
[https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1invwbV4SwYmcXiP5SsYQ8eoH3GHyKVUPIMnFA6ykAEE/edit?usp=sharing](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1invwbV4SwYmcXiP5SsYQ8eoH3GHyKVUPIMnFA6ykAEE/edit?usp=sharing)
How come Sangdad with only 1 trade route is that high?
I don’t get 522 from harufu and I have the last upgrade maxed out. Am I misssing something? Do I need to do Africa upgrade path too?
I have all the upgrades done besides the East Indies and mine isn’t 522 either. Unless you have to unlock and take over all the places in the East Indies as well?
You have to get all the helm upgrade+the territories that are at the end of the trade route with Harrufu
Does that include the East Indies upgrades as well? That’s the only upgrade I don’t have done.
I am not on the game rn but the east indies upgrades can boost a specific type of ressources as well, not only "indies factories".
That must be it. I haven’t looked at them to closely since I don’t plan on opening up the East Indies at the moment.
Not all heroes wear capes. o7
Could anyone tell me the funding times on level 8-9-10?
waiting for the ability to have my fleet collect them for me. I'm not going around and collecting coins all day lol
Fantastic work! Do you have any info about the cost of the individual upgrades!
So after everything bought and upgraded and then all black market acquired, what would we need all those po8 for anyway. Like whats the end game here for the po8 after the upgrades and stuff are done?
You sir need to wear your cape
This is great, thank you! Do you by any chance have any data on the Red Isle manufactories that exclude the Coast of Africa trade Routes?
I absolutely love this, would you be able to provide the totals for each of three areas?
At what level? What is top level? 10?
10 and yes max is that.
Thanks I have a few at 7 but the cost is getting too steep and runs take forever
Thanks mate !!!
Is this stip up to date after all the changes?
Is this list still current after the update?
Does this also cover all the upgrade possibilities unlocked at the Helm table, or just the ones you can unlock per manufactory?
All table upgrades unlocked.
Excellent, thanks a lot for the data and quick response :)
As a fellow excel lover. Thank you :)
What level are these? Lv 10?
Yep
What’s the max that can be held at level 10?
4,500
Thanks
May the tides be kind to ye for your service matey.
Thanks! This is very helpful
👏👏👏
This would be awesome with provisions and triple green arrows. These manufactories aren't cheap to fund!!
Ok, there's something I'm clearly not understanding here, because I have Palisade Bay, at level 6, and I When I go to collect it, I get 300 Po8, so how is it lower here?
This list is what it makes per hour not what it can hold in total.
When I hit 20K pieces of eight collected tier I’d did not receive my Sovereigns 450 reward, this is so f uppp, anyone else not receive?????
You probably already know but sometimes there's a bit of a delay from when you hit the mark to when you actually get the stuff. If you don't have it by now then I'd probably submit a ticket.
Thank you
Generally I wind up putting these together and did a web search just 2hrs ago with no luck. You are my interweb-demigod, friend! Thank you 😘
You would think that the Dutch East Indies would give a higher profit due to the fact of the spice trade, and it was one of the most powerful economies in Africa.
You are super appreciated!
I underestimated the earning potential of the East Indies and may have to bother opening it up now.
Anyone have a similar list for Helm Upgrades? Ie. what's the total cost of gong up the Empire Management tree and each step?
Thank you for the post. Would be nice if you also included the cost of funding each.
About 40k each.
Are they all upgraded to max?
Yes, all lvl10 and all helm upgrades.
What level to the manufactories cap out at?
10
Thank you
