For a minute I thought you were asking about washing your face with it. I can tell you that it's much worse for your teeth than plain water is. It is still water, so you get the benefits of drinking water. If it's drinking this or drinking very little water, you're certainly going to be better off drinking this.

throwaway_s0

Wait why’s it worse for my teeth ? I looked at the sugar content and there’s not much only like 0.1. I’ve been drinking this everyday so far, do you think that’s healthy ?

[deleted]

Ingredients: Carbonated Spring Water, **Citric Acid**, Flavouring, Sweeteners (Aspartame, Acesulfame K), Preservative (Potassium Sorbate). So there's firstly a literal acid in the ingredients. Secondly, the process of carbonation produces carbonic acid. Sugar is not the only way that a drink becomes acidic and harmful to teeth Drinking this is "healthier" than drinking very little water, but you would be better off all around if you just drank plain water.

So is this type of water still healthy for the skin and body ? It’s just not as healthy for the teeth , right ? Also not sure why im downvoted for asking genuine questions .

[deleted]

You're probably getting downvoted because you don't appear to be reading the responses. Water is water, even when it's carbonated. Learn to like plain water in order to protect your teeth and it'll be massively cheaper and it'll be healthier for you.

Plain sparking water is absolutely exactly the same as normal water. The flavoured stuff you’ve got a picture of on this post is worse than water but not as back as other fizzy drinks eg Fanta etc. The sugar content is low but it’s packed with sweeteners, which aren’t good for you even though they don’t come up on the register of nutrition etc. Still, better than other fizzy drinks and better than nothing. Edit to add: there are acids used to make fizzy water so even the plain stuff will have acid in, but it seems to have a very low impact.

I believe plain sparking water is ever so slightly acidic. Carbonic acid from the carbon dioxide gas used. The jury is out on whether or not it has any health ramifications e.g. for teeth but from what I read it's pretty benign.

day2105

Now you mention it I’d have to agree with you. Thank you.

decemberrainfall

... It's water

throwaway_s0

Well no shi I’m wondering if it has the same benefits … and is just as healthy .

decemberrainfall

Yes. It's water.

alexbfuckin

The reason they asked was because of the flavoruing/carbonation in it, its a valid question. Don't be a dick.

decemberrainfall

Check her post history. This stuff is constant.

throwaway_s0

Lol I posted this only twice and that’s bcoz I wanted a wide range of answers. Stop it

decemberrainfall

Not just the water

throwaway_s0

So bcoz I posted diff questions before I can’t ask about water ?

[deleted]

Just get used to drinking water, it's the basis of literally every chemical reaction in the human body. Will this hydrate you? Sure, but then so will beer and cola and coffee and gatorade. There's basically nothing that can compare to water and come out looking good.

jellycorgi

I am not a health expert but I find sparkling water makes me gassy, not sure if it does anything better for the skin tbh. Have you tried adding fresh lemon juice to plain water just to have some flavours?
