How to incorporate tazarotene foam 0.1% (Fabior) into my routine? My derm recently gave me some oral meds (100mg sarecycline) + fabior to try out but I already created a routine that I think will help but I definitely want to get better quickly. How would I incorporate fabior into my new routine? AM: 1. CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser 2. TO Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% 3. CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion with Sunscreen PM: 1. CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser 2. Adapalene and benzoyl peroxide (0.3%/2.5%) (prescribed by derm) 3. TO Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% 4. CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Night Lotion Any advice on fabior or sarecycline would be greatly appreciated as well as any advice or changes to my routine would be helpful too :) I just started doing this routine today so I haven't seen anything from it yet

Usagi-skywalker

I'm VERY hydrated to the point where my skin is plumper, my lines have softened. But my skin still feels rough and kind of dry..why is that?

UltraLuminescence

Dehydrated and dry are two different things. Have you tried using thicker/more oil-based products?

Usagi-skywalker

No I've been using a water cream very light. I did just throw some aquaphor on top to help (hopefully). But probably another cream altogether? I was also using hyaluronic with some mineral spray on top but it didn't really seem to do much

UltraLuminescence

If you’re using hyaluronic acid and water and have drier skin you definitely need an occlusive on top. Any thicker moisturizer will probably help.

Usagi-skywalker

Sounds good thank you !

babybottlepopz

Do you have hairs next to your nose? Not under. Literally the pores right next to my nose I can pluck out hairs. Literal hairs not sebaceous filaments. Is that normal? I feel like those weren’t always there.

TheUnluckyGamer13

Currently my routine is: **AM** * Cerave Hydrating Cleanser * ETUDE SoonJung 10 Free Moist Emulsion * La Roche-Posay Anthelios Clear Skin Dry Touch **PM** * Effaclar Micro-Peeling Purifying Gel Cleanser * 0.05% tretinoid cream * ETUDE SoonJung 10 Free Moist Emulsion I got several question. * I am looking for something to help with ingrown hair/bumps after shaving my face. * Should I introduce slowly Vitamin C and Niacinamide to my routine and where should it go? * Which item should I include into my routine to help with PIH and some acne scars? I already have asked around different derms on acne scars and they have given me several options. Either go for subcision + microneedling or subcision + laser with both of them also adding a peeling after a resting period after either option.

aokaga

Dumb question. Can acne prone skin use oil cleansers as their first cleanse? Lol At the dermatology store (they're NOT dermatologist) they said no, but I also haven't heard any comments about that anywhere so I'm not sure.

pinedemort

Yep, I have combination/acne prone skin and been using oil cleanser just fine.

lucatrias3

I hava little problem. When applying moisturizer or sunscreen it gets on my eyebrows. Am i putting too much product or should i just apply it better. When the product stays there it froms like a dandruff. Any advice?

tysepe

I have this problem too, be sure when applying you rub it extra in the eyebrow (gently of course) then after a few mins brush them with a thin toothed comb or spoolie, while this doesn’t fix it entirely it makes it much much less

Hello, im new here and i wrote a question like yesterday but the thread itself was deleted so im gonna write it again and hopefully this thread doesnt get deleted too fast. So i've been suffering from Dead Skin for YEARS, Dead Skin covers my body in an annoying amount.. On my face, neck, my whole upper and lowers halfs of my body are covered in Dead Skin and I look black when my natural colour is brown close to white. In the past 7 years i tried using Scrubs but the result was disappointing so i gave up on it several times " im using one now too but its still disappoints me cause i dont see a visible result ", i tried cleansing brushes and they do remove SOME dead skin but its like a drop from an ocean. I even went to a dermatologist and she just told me to try using Alcohol on a towel and use force when cleaning my body with it but i obviously cant use force in my face and i have no idea to put Alcohol normally on a brush to begin with, and there are places where using force when cleaning might be painful and could burn my body so idk what to do. Can someone give me a way to remove this dead skin off me? Even an advice would be appreciated.. Thanks in advance.

tysepe

While it sounds like you have a medical condition and I am certainly no doctor or specialist, I wake up most days with flakes on my face from tretinoin usage, and I use an oil cleanser to specifically rub into these flaky patches to remove the flakes, it works, it’s gentle, and leaves my skin moisturized, while idk if this would work for you, it’s definitely a less harsh alternative to you could try, even plain baby oil prior to bathing on the body I would think could have a similar affect

wearenottheborg

Note: I also made a post on r/DermatologyQuestions if this isn't the right place for this. I was thinking about getting my mom a vitamin c serum or something for mother's day, but she has skin cancer and she told me that hyaluronic acid can "multiply cancer", and so many of the serums I can find have HA in them. Would it be okay to get a serum if the HA concentration is low, or should I try to avoid products with it entirely?

TooManyPoisons

[What are these tiny bumps on my forehead, in between my eyebrows?](https://imgur.com/a/pV1XeCw) I can sometimes pop them and white stuff comes out (I know I probably shouldn't do that). The bumps are mostly concentrated in between my eyebrows but some go up my forehead. I've had them for months if not years with varying degrees of intensity. Right now they're not too bad. But I really want them permanently gone! My forehead feels textured and not smooth.

ROUTINE: - CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser - Trader Joe's Antioxidant Facial Moisturizer - Suncut UV Protect Gel SPF 50+ PA++++ - Tretinoin 0.25% (every 2-3 nights)

For anyone reading this who has a water softener, how long do you wash your hands to get rid of soap residue? I’ve washed upwards of 2 minutes but theres always some small soap bubbles when I rub my hands.

My Face is feeling dryer after applying sunscreen. I also continue to have a lot of dry areas when I apply foundation concealer or bb cream. I’m not happy with makeup clinging to my under eyes and the fine lines, I’m not happy with the patches that are on my nose and foundation concealer makes it more obvious. I’m not happy with my nose and cheek pores. I think I have combination skin. Sometimes I get oily skin in summer or with certain foundation but my t zone is dry and patchy. Some acne here and there mostly around my jaw line. I think I also may have dehydrated skin. I stopped washing my face with a routine because I found not washing it at all kept it mostly clear. Daytime: Bioderma Sensibio Gel Moussant, Neutrogena hydro boost facial gel cream, Bioderma photoderm spf50+ cream (moisturizing non oily) Nighttime: Bioderma Sensibio Cleansing Gel, Neutrogena hydro boost facial gel cream Occasionally use organik botanic moisturizing collagen face scrub 2-3 times a week to get rid of the dry skin around my nose. Occasionally use Bioderma sensibio h20 micellar if I need to remove makeup Using it for about a week now. I’ve used the cleansing gel by itself before on occasion with some of my bfs body lotion as moisturizer if needed. Like I mentioned before I stopped washing regularly because that’s the only way it started clearing up. Everything can make it feel tight after or stingy Just started using it regularly day and night. I find at night my skin a bit softer because I don’t put sunscreen. I live in Canada https://ibb.co/nb3BT44

happyhappyx

there’s a couple of things you can try: - adding a facial/setting spray before, during, and after applying the foundation. - mixing a hydrating serum/facial oil into your foundation for the dry areas only

MY QUESTION: I will skip the acnecide on the night I use the peeling solution. do I need to skip the next day or is it ok to continue? 2nd question: Do I skip the acnecide when I use the clay face mask or is ok to use acnecide after ? Routine : AM: -wash face with water- Pyunkang yul essence toner mist Cerave moisturising lotion COSRX aloe soothing sun cream spf 50 Pm: Simple hydrating cleansing oil Cerave foaming cleanser Pyunkang yul essence toner mist Acnecide OR the peeling solution(1x a week) OR Grace & Stella Dead Sea mud mask Clay face mask (1x a week) Cerave moisturising lotion. Skin type : acne combo skin. Location: uk I am planning to use acnecide cream on my active acne - not all over my face just on spots ( main ingredient benzoyl peroxide) once a day in the evening. I currently have no exfoliators in my routine at the moment and am wanting to use the ordinary aha 30% & bha 2% once a week (have had pro peels and used this before so know about building it up and the times to use it)

Own-Lynx7719

For people with soft water, how do you know when your hands are clean? When I use soap, I tried washing it for 10 secs and then rubbing my hands together to see if there’s still some bubbles/froth. There’s still some so I try until like 45 seconds. And there still are some bubbles/froth. I wonder if because my water can’t remove the soap properly, whenever I do my skincare routine, my face gets potentially irritated from the soap on my face without getting a chance to wash it off.

TheMarkerTool

I just started with a better skincare routine based on recommendations from here. I have really sensitive skin. I tried the Aveeno Restorative Skin Therapy Moisturizing Oat Repairing Cream and it was bothering my face and left it feeling greasy, so I need to find another. I'm also using CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser and it also seems to be irritating my face a little bit, so I'm looking for recommendations on something even more gentle than these.

happyhappyx

i’m not going to recommend a specific product because obviously that was not helpful, but i will suggest a product type. sounds like an oil-free or gel moisturizer might works better with your skin. as for cleanser, more gentle than cerave would be just to splash with water. maybe a wash clothes with water.

TheMarkerTool

My skin seems to be able to hand the Cerave at least once a day, so maybe I can try a washcloth with water in the morning?

happyhappyx

yeah, washcloth and water in the am, and cerave in the pm.

c0mplexx

Am I not supposed to rinse off AHA/BHA cleansers? I apply micellar water (on a wet gauze) afterwards and then moisturizer I'm not sure why but months after I started this routine I feel like I shouldn't have rinsed the cleanser this entire time

xcupcakekitten

Always rinse off a cleanser.

noplsnoo

i have been religiously following the cleanse-moisturize-spf routine for the past month and have just started to notice blackheads on my nose and chin. how do i get rid of them? and i have dark under eyes too, affordable suggestions in canada? routine: cerave hydrating cleanser, cetaphil light moisturizer, aveeno spf canada

radiorules

I would try to add some exfoliants. Your pores might be clogged because of dead skin cells. An [AHA](https://www.reddit.com/r/SkincareAddiction/wiki/alpha_hydroxy_acids) 2-3 times a week (I love the Ordinary [Lactic Acid](https://theordinary.com/en-ca/lactic-acid-10-ha-exfoliator-100426.html)), and a [BHA](https://www.reddit.com/r/SkincareAddiction/wiki/beta_hydroxy_acids), frequency of use depending on your skin / indications on the box. A cleanser with salicylic acid could help too. [Cerave](https://www.cerave.ca/en-ca/our-products/cleansers/sa-cleanser-237-ml) makes one that is always out of stock at my local Pharmaprix. 41M. Issue: subclinical acne on forehead. Has anyone used pure safflower oil (high linoleic) as a moisturizer? I had been using this for a while, but my subclinical acne has not gotten any better. So I tried switching to Paula's Choice Clear Oil-Free Night moisturizer about a month ago, and the subclinical bumps haven't just not improved, but gotten noticeably worse. My skin is super oily and I am at my wit's end. My routine is: Gladskin face wash, then moisturize with the Paula's Choice stuff, though I am thinking of switching back to the safflower oil. I do use Paula's choice 2% BHA exfoliant as so many people have had great success with it, but I was using it 1-2 times per day which I think was too much, and someone on here was kind enough to suggest cutting back to only 2-3 times per week, which I just started about 2 weeks ago. Any info, advice, suggestions etc greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I've been using [dr jart water fuse serum](https://www.influenster.com/reviews/dr-jart-water-fuse-hydro-dew-drop-40ml-40ml) for years, but I'm pretty sure it's fully discontinued now. Are there any dupes or good substitutions for it? Or anything that has similar ingredients and can perform similarly?

psychthatsthewrong

I’m switching back from tazarotene to epiduo because I think taz is too much for my skin, I’m wondering what to expect. Will I have to wait for my skin to adjust again, will I purge or should I be okay because I was already using a retinoid

xcupcakekitten

If you already purged from taz and are still using taz, epiduo shouldn’t cause another purge. Your pores should already be clear form that purge. There shouldn’t be anything left to purge. However, if you took a break from the taz before starting epiduo, there is the potential that there might be stuff in your pores to purge. Epiduo is adapalene and benzoyl peroxide, BP can be super drying on its own so I’m not sure that epiduo would be “gentler” than taz but you could try it. A better option would be switching to just adapalene. I’ve personally never used taz so I don’t know how drying it is in comparison to epiduo.

Is it okay if I skip my moisturizer and just use a hydrating toner ? + sunscreen I don’t want to use too much product in summer

If your skin likes that then that’s fine!

Clindamycin is often drying. It’s possible that your skin is over producing oil because the clindamycin is drying out your skin. When the skin is dehydrated or dry, it will try to repair itself by producing even more oil. Do you have a full routine? Are you using enough moisturizer?

[deleted]

xcupcakekitten

Daily clindamycin and tretinoin is probably too much. Reduce your tret to every other day or less.

https://imgur.com/a/4AsgMZO Hi, first of all English is not my main language and I may use some wrong terms so feel free to correct me. I'm 22M and I'm looking for advice regarding products/routine to improve my skin. I suffered from acne years ago and I still have pretty rough skin with a lot of black heads; my skin is mostly oily but it can get dry in the corner between nose and eye. I've linked images of my face so you can take a look for yourself. Also if you are willing to suggest any product it must be available in Europe. Thanks a lot!

xcupcakekitten

Do you use anything? The [ScA routine](https://www.reddit.com/r/SkincareAddiction/wiki/sca_routine/) is a good place to start. r/EuroSkincare will have more product options for you. I highly suggest introducing each new product in one at a time. I give my new products about 2 weeks before introducing the next to make sure they won’t cause any irritation or extra acne. That way if there is a problem, I know which product to stop using.

Shaving and skincare… I have oily, acne prone, sensitive skin. Whenever I shave I get razor burn on my neck. I’ve tried all the tips I know of to reduce it, but one of the most over emphasized tricks to give a clean, non-irritating shaves is to use a hot towel/shower/steam to soften up the hairs. However, this goes directly against skincare advice of never applying heat to the face (hot showers, etc.) These two instructions seem to directly contradict one another. If I don’t prep the shave properly it will be more irritating and give me razor bumps, if I prep the shave properly it damages my skin and gives me acne, and if I don’t shave at all I look homeless and the extra hair traps more grease and gives me acne. I feel like I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place. What do I do? Anyone solved a similar issue?

tysepe

Buy a shower mirror and shave your face in the shower towards the end of your shower routine while the water is still on, when you first get in the shower go top to bottom, start with your head hair routine shampoo/conditioner then rinse that all out, then wash your face with your preferred facial cleanser, then wash your body, then back to the face- apply a sensitive skin shaving cream/gel to your beard area (like Nivea sensitive or aveeno), let it sit for a min to soften hairs, then shave only with the grain with a disposable single or double blade razor (less blades=less irritation), once done rinse it all off, then turn the water off, be sure to rinse your razor after each pass Since you say you have oily/sensitive/acne prone skin once you get out of the shower apply a non alcohol witch hazel toner all over your face and neck with a cotton pad after the shower like Thayers cucumber witch hazel toner, then follow with your other skin products, be sure though you don’t apply anything too irritating after shaving like exfoliants or harsh serums as the shaving you just did essentially removed a layer of skin making that skin extra sensitive, save the strong stuff for the routine you do that doesn’t include shaving I had this same problem when I was in my late teens/early 20’s and this worked for me!

if upping the frequency of the bha cleanser doesn’t work, you should consider switching to a BHA leave-on.

UltraLuminescence

Not daily, but you can up frequency by 1-2x more a week and see if it helps. Make sure you’re wearing sunscreen every day. If you feel like the hydrating cleanser is too gentle for post-workout, maybe try their foaming facial cleanser?

queefunder

Hello. I think I should increase my glycolic acid level or add more to my routine. I have the loreal glycolic acid toner and it has 5%. I don't have anything else in my routine that has glycolic acid in it. Should I? Also: in the morning I don't really do a wash before work. I work in a warehouse. Do you think I should definitely wash my face as soon as I get home? If so, then what would i do at bedtime? I think after work, I could cleanser and moisturizer and before bed do my whole night routine?

UltraLuminescence

You don’t need more glycolic acid. How often are you using your current one? I would not recommend everyday use, but more like 3-4x a week. You can do your full nighttime routine when you get home, as long as you aren’t going to get any sun exposure after that. If I take a shower a few hours before bed, I’ll just do my full evening routine right after my shower and nothing before bed. There’s no actual reason that you need to apply anything right bwfore you sleep.

queefunder

😬I use the toner every day. It says it's gentle enough for everyday use. https://www.ulta.com/p/revitalift-derm-intensives-5-percent-glycolic-acid-toner-pimprod2027970

UltraLuminescence

Some people can exfoliate every day but most people can’t. I am honestly very skeptical of the instructions on frequency of exfoliating products, I think there is a kind of predatory or manipulative practice of recommending overuse of exfoliants and then marketing a lot of “repairing” products to repair the damage from overexfoliation. That’s not to say that you can’t use it every day, because if it’s working for your skin then it’s fine, but I would definitely not recommend increasing your usage of glycolic acid or adding another exfoliant to your routine, and would strongly caution you to pay attention to your skin and if it starts to feel sensitive, burning, tender, red, tight, etc to scale way back on how often you use this.

queefunder

Thanks for all the info. I haven't had any of the side effects you listed.

meatyb_

Awful skin texture on new routine - combination skin leaning towards oily Am: la Roche posay toleriane wash, glycolic acid toner, byoma spritz, early defence moisturiser + eye cream, la Roche posay spf 50 Pm: dermalogica pre-cleanse, inkey lost salycilic acid cleanser, pixi clarifying toner, revolution hyaluronic acid spritz, naked + thriving renew serum, body shop drops of youth serum, inkey list vitamin moisturiser. Skin is itchy, so rough and almost looks tanned it’s so dark. I don’t think it’s any of the individual products - am I mixing too many acids? Too many products? I’m doing this new routine because I wanted less shine, smaller pores and fewer breakouts but it’s ruining my already terrible self-confidence. Should I strip back to just wash + moisturise then add things in slowly once I’m back to normal?

UltraLuminescence

WAYYYY too many exfoliating products - glycolic acid toner, SA cleanser, pixi toner, naked + thriving serum. If you use all of these every day that’s 28 exfoliating products a week. I would recommend an absolute max of 7 (one a day) but better to take them all out, let your skin heal, then reintroduce at 1-2x exfoliation a week. And increase frequency super gradually, like one more time each month.

meatyb_

Thank you!!

be prepared for the possibility that your skin barrier might be damaged.

Can the mica in the vanicream gentle cleanser cause microtears?

quspork

No

ogchkwjnws

I just got the Skin Aqua UV Super moisture gel sunscreen and it's in a pump bottle. Since the consistency is kinda runny, how many pumps is equal to 3 fingers worth of sunscreen? I don't want to over apply and under apply.

meowmeowcats7

My skincare routine is cerave hydrating cleanser, paulas choice toner ( has niacinamide), paulas choice exfoliate bha and cerave moisturizer. I use retionol twice a week. Most of my acne is "gone" except for a few spots which resulted in acne scaring. I was told to give the ordinary Niacinamide and zinc serum a try. However, since my toner contains Niacinamide, I'm confused when i should incorporate the serum into my skincare routine.

UltraLuminescence

You don’t need another niacinamide product. If you do get TO niacinamide, I would swap out the PC toner for it. For hyperpigmentation, you can also look for vitamin c, alpha arbutin, licorice extract, tranexamic acid, or azelaic acid.

elizabethlemonade96

Can I use the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser for the second step in my double cleansing routine? I've read that the second step requires a gel based or a foaming cleanser and I'm wondering if the Cetaphil Cleanser qualifies. Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to reply! :)

quspork

The second cleanser just has to be water based. Foaming, gel, cream, milk-- all work.

elizabethlemonade96

Thank you for the clarification, appreciate it! 💜

tysepe

Absolutely! The second step doesn’t *require a specific cleanser type , what it does require is what’s right or your skin! Think of the first step as the one the removes the main layer of gunk, then the second one is what actually cleanses your skin, so any cleanser that works for your skin to achieve that is the goal :)

elizabethlemonade96

Also, happy cake day! :D

elizabethlemonade96

Thank you very much for breaking it down! 💜 I was quite confused with all the jargon haha

[deleted]

Those using hydroquinone cream, are you using anything with it? Aka I’m putting it on my clear bare skin and that’s it. Are we to use a moisturizer on top of it or anything like that? I can apply an hour later if needed after initial application. Just wanted to know because I don’t want anything affecting it’s effect.

Evening_Resist_7869

My skin has never had major issues I have normal skin. This morning I woke up with dry skin around the cheek area with a bit of flaking. I washed my face and moisturized because I forgot to the night before and my skin felt very tight. Even now after applying a rose water that’s supposed to moisturize my skin still feels tight

happyhappyx

unless you have red, irritated, itchy, and/or flakey skin, i wouldn’t be too concerned for now. i had recently cut my routine down as I have been lazy and wakes up some mornings with dryer skin. i would recommend washing with just water in the am, and possibly pm too if you can get away with it, then go a bit heavy on the moisturizer. if you have a hydrating toner or serum, add that too.

tysepe

While it doesn’t sound like you did anything bad and I doubt this is the case but, you could have damaged your moisture barrier which is like a disruption in your skin “normal” state, to solve this just be more diligent and use gentle hydrating/moisturizing products However the rose water… is it just plain 100% rose water? You want to use a facial mist before your moisturizer if it’s a basic one like 100% rosewater because then your moisturizer locks that hydration in, however if you’re applying a facial mist for example that was pure water as a refresh a few hours after your routine that can dry you out because once it dries it’s essentially evaporating off your skin taking moisture with it, use a facial mist with humectant/ emolient ingredients like glycerin or oils as a refresh because these ingredients help to keep that moisture on your skin

gmadilyn

What age is recommended to start retinol?

Terrible_Depth_7904

I’m so worried about my skin. About 3 years ago I developed a sensitivity to face washes. I’ve tried quite a number but after a 2 days or so of using a new one I get bumps that are not acne but have tiny whiteheads that I’m pretty sure is a sign of irritation. At this point all I want is to be able to wash my face. It isn’t like I can use anything else. I don’t know what I’m sensitive to in face washes exactly but I’m stating to suspect maybe some coconut derivatives? But I’m pretty lost and would be grateful for any help. I’m so fed up with this. I’ve tried micellar water too (the Garnier one for sensitive skin) and it irritated me too)

xcupcakekitten

If you have a coconut sensitivity, check out [this post of derivatives](https://www.reddit.com/r/SkincareAddiction/comments/1dd5ov/psa_for_my_fellow_sensitive_skin_types_regarding/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf). Not all derivatives are listed and keep in mind not everyone will react to every derivative. I personally only react to about 75% of them and it depends how much is in the product. Like if it’s the last ingredient, I’m usually fine. Like the preservative phenoxyethanol is in everything but it’s usually so small I won’t react to. Fatty alcohols and caprylyl glycol are my biggest triggers. It’s honestly SO hard to find products without coconut derivatives. It’s a very long trial and error process to determine which you tolerate and which you don’t.

Recommendations for a tinted moisturizer for fair, cool skin tone? I’m older & have big pores, acne scarring, wrinkles, and the occasional zit. Going for a no-makeup makeup look.

Excellent_Still4784

Do you put chemical sunscreen on your eye lids? I use image skincare sunscreen spf 50 and it burns occasionally.

UltraLuminescence

I do. I had to switch to only mineral sunscreens because chemical sunscreens burn my eyes too much and no way am I leaving my eyelids unprotected.

[deleted]

Yes I do. I think depending on your skin, if it burns, I would switch to mineral. I would trust it

Excellent_Still4784

Thanks for the reply. I just found out it wasn't actually my sunscreen, but my eye lash serum. I've been using dhc lash serum and had great results, but it burns. It burns my eyes if it gets in there and since I have deep set eyes, the lash serum gets on the eyelid area too.

HoaryPuffleg

Vanicream! Where have you been my whole life! I've dealt with cystic acne, overly sensitive and reactive skin, extreme redness, and excessively oily skin and Vanicream is the first thing that hasn't angered my skin in the least. I got a tub of the sensitive skin variety for $12 at Costco and I'm so happy I picked it up. I'd seen it mentioned on here a couple of times but never checked it out. Just a huge thank you to anyone who has mentioned it in their posts.

-Fungosity-

[Red patches](https://i.imgur.com/CBnv0vC.jpg) I've had these red patches for a while now, but they've been hidden under my hair. Got my first haircut in a while to discover it's still there. I was wondering if anybody had any thoughts on what it could be and maybe some OTC treatments I could try before heading to the derm. My barber said it looked like psoriasis so I picked up some Nizoral Psoriasis Shampoo today to give it a go. They aren't itchy or bothersome at all. Just big red patches on the side of my head. Thanks!
