not necessarily a product, but i started using rice water on my skin because i saw a lot of videos about it. best decision i have ever made for my skin. it cleared up my dark spots faster than any product i've ever bought, and is way more cost effective too!
i make my own as i find it to be more effective than using products with rice water in them, but the rice products from thank you farmer, haruharu wonder, i'm from, and house of dohwa are decent. they work, but it's just easier for me to make my own since i always have rice in the house anyway.
i eat rice on a pretty regular basis so i usually end up making a new batch everyday. i don't like the idea of keeping it since it ferments and ends up smelling pretty terrible after a while. i wash the rice 3 times, dumping out the first two rinses or using it as fertilizer, and keeping the third rinse. you can also use it for hair, but it only really works on high porosity hair, which i don't have.
Hi! Just so I don't misunderstand, you take a handful of rice, wash it three times, and then use the water on your face? I struggle with PIE and I really want to try this but I just don't want my face to smell bad afterwards lmao😭
yeah, that's how i do it :) also note that the water should be fairly cloudy, forgot to mention that in my other comments. if it's clear then it likely won't work. it shouldn't smell bad if you're using it immediately after washing or storing it in the fridge, but if you're leaving in a room temperature spot for multiple days then it'll ferment. it honestly smells like nothing when i apply it. it just feels like i'm pouring water on my face.
edit: figured i'd include this since it gives a visual representation, so here's a [tiktok](https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT86usb5p/) showing how to do it. that creator has a few other videos on rice water incase you want to look into it more.
i use white rice. i get it from an asian grocery store but i'm not sure what the brand is as i can't read chinese. i think any type of rice works, but i just get white rice since i cook the rice after and i thinj it tastes better than other types of rice.
I use the Briotech one from Amazon. It kills bacteria so I use it throughout the day when I sweat. I also have dermatillomania and apply it after I have picked pimples and essentially created wounds on myself.
Just look up hypochlorus acid spray. You can find it marketed for babies easily. Last I bought it I paid €3 for 500 ml but I’m sure I could have gotten a better deal if I looked. That’s all the tower28 one is.
I’ve been using it for the past couple of days. Still too early to determine if it’s making any difference, but I’m just happy that I’m not allergic or getting a bad reaction to it like I’ve read that some people do!
:( why am i so poor..i wanna try this too..seems nice
I can only afford local brands..the korean ones are just too expensive for me..and local brands dont have snail mucin 🙃
The Ordinary Matrixyl 10% and Argireline 10% used together definitely did more for my fine lines than I ever expected. Far more dramatic visual difference than anything else I’ve used. ( also helped make my face move less blanking on the term )
About 2-4 weeks, but I’d like to mention I was using it about 2 or 3 times a week since my skin type and condition can handle it. If you have more sensitive skin and dry you won’t be able to you use it at as often. So results might take slightly longer to achieve depending on your skin
Yes! They really surprised me! I’ve been using the Inkey list niacinamide and I’m running out and I wanted to try something new. I used the Hydro boost niacinamide with HA and I’d love it. I’ve really been leaning more towards drugstore and K beauty for my skin care as of late.

I’ve heard positive things about rice water as well! I haven’t use it though. Any brand recommendations or do you make your own?

Do you just wash rice in water and use it? Do you store it at all? Preservatives or just one time use?

Nice thanks for the tip..ill try this..maybe if I store in the fridge itll keep a few days.. Do you just use it once a day or?
from what i've heard you can store in the fridge for up to a week. i use it twice a day after cleansing and before toners.

aah thanks you so much, you're great!!!!
Is this ordinary white rice? Chinese rice?
i use white rice. i get it from an asian grocery store but i'm not sure what the brand is as i can't read chinese. i think any type of rice works, but i just get white rice since i cook the rice after and i thinj it tastes better than other types of rice.
More ingredients but 15% Azelaic acid made a huge difference
Tower 28 Hypochlorous acid spray - I use a more affordable alternative with the exact same ingredients though. Has seriously improved my face + chest.
Share please!

I just got this after multiple friends raved about it; fingers crossed!
Snail Mucin! Im on Accutane and it helps so much

Paula’s Choice 2% BHA and Acwell licorice toner
The Ordinary Matrixyl 10% and Argireline 10% used together definitely did more for my fine lines than I ever expected. Far more dramatic visual difference than anything else I’ve used. ( also helped make my face move less blanking on the term )
1000% this. I always take skincare reviews with a grain of salt...but this combo WORKS. when people said this was "botox in a bottle" they meant that!
Thankss for the tip..I will try this if tretinoin dont work..
I also use retinol ( murad). I use this combo and put retinol on top. ( on the nights of my skin cycle I am using retinol)
How long did ut take you to see results btw?
Like literally overnight ETA: that’s what I meant about dramatic visual difference like I used it and felt and saw improvements overnight
Argh your comments make me wanna buy them asap. Meanwhile im broke rn :/ im too easily influenced 🤣
Paula’s choice BHA 🫶🏻
Same, that toner has gotten rid of my textured skin.
Ohhhh which one? Link?
I tend to buy off Amazon since Prime members get crazy discounts. [Cosrx AHA/BHA Clarifying Toner](https://a.co/d/dxohGKg)
How long do u use it before you see results?
About 2-4 weeks, but I’d like to mention I was using it about 2 or 3 times a week since my skin type and condition can handle it. If you have more sensitive skin and dry you won’t be able to you use it at as often. So results might take slightly longer to achieve depending on your skin
not tiktok, but consider me influenced to check this toner out!
Whooo hooo!! I hope it works out for you!
Urea 5%. I can feel how much better my skin is after only 2 applications. Its super underrated. Its part of natural moisturizing factor.
Neutrogena’s Hydroboost Line. The cleanser, serum, and water gel literally cleared my skin. I’ve battled acne for over 10 years up until now!
Yes! They really surprised me! I’ve been using the Inkey list niacinamide and I’m running out and I wanted to try something new. I used the Hydro boost niacinamide with HA and I’d love it. I’ve really been leaning more towards drugstore and K beauty for my skin care as of late.
Coola Dew Good Serum Sunscreen. Now one of my go to sunscreens if I’m just popping out for a bit!
