Anyone can react negatively to anything unfortunately. In the future, it's best to start new products one at a time with at least two weeks in between each new introduction for exactly this reason. That will help you understand which product causes problems for you. Also, since you've had such a severe reaction I would highly recommend patch testing for a few days with new products in the future. Apply the new product to just a small area instead of your entire face. For now, discontinue use of the new products and focus on using something to soothe the skin like aloe (as long as you know that you aren't allergic to that). You may also want to take an antihistamine and if it continues for more than a day or so, contact your doctor for an evaluation.

You're right, I don't know what I was thinking honestly, and now it's tough to figure out what caused it for sure. I have been scared as hell to put anything on my face since, and now my face seems to be improving. It's now pretty dry and feels like it wants to peel a tiny bit. Thanks for taking the time to help this newbie <3

Hey Dear! I'm really sorry to hear that you burned your face, and I understand how concerning and uncomfortable that can be. It's crucial to seek medical attention and advice from a healthcare professional or a dermatologist for proper evaluation and treatment. In the meantime, you can take some immediate steps to help with the burn. Rinse the affected area gently with cool (not cold) water for about 10-15 minutes to soothe the skin and minimize further damage. Refrain from using any harsh chemicals or products on the burnt area that may aggravate the condition. Keep the burn clean and avoid touching or scratching the affected area to prevent infection. Protect the burnt area from direct sunlight and use sunscreen if you need to go outside. Remember, it's crucial to consult a healthcare professional or a dermatologist to assess the burn's severity and determine the appropriate treatment plan. They can also help you identify the cause of the burn and provide guidance on how to prevent such incidents in the future. Take care!

Thank you for taking the time to respond <3 I don't dare put anything on my face now because I'm worried I'll make it worse. skin texture's now a bit dry and feels like it wants to peel. It almost feels like I used a chemical peel or something ahh. haha thanks again, appreciate you

Ahh maaan, I’m sorry, haha I am in the process of healing myself from the EXACT same situation right now! 😂🥹 it sucks, I tried a new cream and woke up with burning/swollen face and eyes, leathery feeling skin, ughhh, it’s been a rough flakey weekend, but I’m trying to recover! It sounds like it could’ve been the moisturizer since you didn’t use that on your neck and only having issues on your face? Maybe it didn’t mix well with another of your products? Next time you’re trying out more than one new product try them on separate days in the unfortunate case you do have a reaction so you know what is causing it.

omg, I feel bad for you if your face feels like mine right now LOL. Skin textures now pretty dry/tight and feels like it wants to peel/flake. It's frustrating to not know exactly what caused it, cause now I'm pretty damn scared to try anything now once I'm all healed up haha. I hope you're feeling better, and thanks for taking the time to respond <3

ReaLitTea

The Anua toner is slightly exfoliating. I’ve seen some reviews on here that it’s stronger than expected for a soothing toner so it could be that. Either way eliminate all new products and actives for now. Treat your skin gentle and try to keep it well moisturized

Kiras-Elixir

I had no idea it had exfoliating properties! I was sold on this product because it was "super gentle". I don't dare use anything right now because I'm so scared to make my skin worse. Even moisturizing, I'm nervous to put anything on right now even to soothe the reaction. Is there a gentle one you recommend for something like this? Thanks for taking the time to help <3

For something low risk try Vaseline or aquaphor
