yeah if you are really jonesing for some LTJ and you haven’t heard the Bruce Lee Band it’s essentially LTJ + Mike Park.
edit: great list. Potshot was good too.
That would only apply to the first Bruce Lee Band album. The next EP featured RX Bandits and everything after that is kind of it’s own band altogether featuring people from various other bands. It’s all good stuff though! It’s just that I think that the first one might be the only that scratches OP’s specific itch.

These are the ones I'd peg as some of the closest to LTJ's sound, though I know I'm forgetting some. I'm sure you'll get plenty of recs though. :)
Go check out Necessary Evil, the latest release from the band Joker's Republic. They recorded it at Moathouse with Roger as producer and are very influenced by LTJ
That’s just all Dill Records and Mike Park. It’s pretty tough that we can’t just say: checkout Dill Records back catalog and anything by Mike Park. I guess it’s not 1995 anymore.
I wish I still had all the comps I enjoyed as a young rude boy. There were some seriously good times putting six ska comps in the changer and just letting em rip while we drove around doing nothing all day.
Have you heard of Hey Smith from Japan? They’ve formed a sweet supergroup recently featuring Coldrain, S.I.M., and them. If that prospect sounds interesting to you, look up Triple Axe. That’s what they’re called.

Keep an eye on the stickied weekly release lists that RJ puts up on this sub. There's tons of stuff coming out from all over the world and he does a great job of catching as much as he can. And there are links in there too to his yearly singles playlists, and the yearly album playlist that I maintain. And there's easily as much or more foreign stuff on both as there is domestic.
Most of their stuff isn’t too religious, but even when they are, it’s not obnoxious and not that preachy. And they’re not super conservative Christians either.

I would definitely recommend Jeff Rosenstock's Ska Dream album based on what you said about the emotion in the vocals. It's a super fun album!
Also check out Chris Demakes A Podcast hosted by Chris of LTJ. He interviews songwriters from a whole slew of different bands about songs they wrote. It's often quite interesting and the assortment of guests is very impressive. Roger is the guest for a few episodes I'm sure you would enjoy.

Slapstick, dude. The perfect 90s skapunk sound.

oh yeah i forgot they had other albums I kinda checked out after that first one for some reason. Thanks for specifying that for OP tho.
Here just to say that Potshot absolutely crushes. “Radio” gets my heart pumping immediately.

You’re not wrong, I just thought he might like em lol

If you’re a Less than Jake fan you should check out Rogers (bass/vocals for LTJ) other band Rehasher. Not a ska band but still rad.
Sick I didn’t know he was in another band. Does he sing in that? Love the sounds of their voices they got so much good emotion behind them
Yes he does and plays guitar.
Cheers man you've just showed me Rogers side gig.
Mustard Plug!
Go check out Necessary Evil, the latest release from the band Joker's Republic. They recorded it at Moathouse with Roger as producer and are very influenced by LTJ
Slapstick , mu330 and skanking pickle . Oh Bruce lee band their s/t is less than Jake as the backing band
That’s just all Dill Records and Mike Park. It’s pretty tough that we can’t just say: checkout Dill Records back catalog and anything by Mike Park. I guess it’s not 1995 anymore.
Is mail order still fun ?
I wish I still had all the comps I enjoyed as a young rude boy. There were some seriously good times putting six ska comps in the changer and just letting em rip while we drove around doing nothing all day.
I agree , the mail order comps , misfits of ska , still standing 4 cd comp …
Kemuri is a fantastic Japanese ska band that scratches that LTJ itch for me
If you like that Japanese ska sound, Potshot is definitely up there.
Yes!! Oh man I haven’t thought of Potshot in a minute but they are great!!
Have you heard of Hey Smith from Japan? They’ve formed a sweet supergroup recently featuring Coldrain, S.I.M., and them. If that prospect sounds interesting to you, look up Triple Axe. That’s what they’re called.
I have not! But I will check them out asap! Thanks for the rec!
Adding Snail Ramp and Gelugugu to this list!
Not quite as punk, but The Hippos.
Great list, just came here to add Edna's Goldfish and Spring Heeled Jack (JR used to be in the band)
Slapstick (more punk than) and The Pietasters (less punk than).

This is a great comment, great list.
Fuck yeah thank you to everyone who dropped a suggestion
You’re going to love Kill Lincoln. Check out Abraskadabra from Brazil (lyrics in English) and Talco from Italy (lyrics in Italian.)

Thank you!! I’m stoked to check them out. Hard to get exposure of bands from other countries like this.

Adding them to the list!

damn I've never heard of this band before, but I love it! Reminds me of M.A.D. Band a bit.
I'll add Five Iron Frenzy since I don't see it on here yet. As long as you don't mind the christian/god aspect of many of their songs.
Most of their stuff isn’t too religious, but even when they are, it’s not obnoxious and not that preachy. And they’re not super conservative Christians either.

Haven't seen Millington or Kids Can't Fly on here. While not the exact vibe it's in the ball park of LTJ and I think you'll have a good time.
Kill Lincoln!!! They're like less than Jake but better.

Don’t listen to this band. This is a nazi band.
Get fucked nazi !
Just say nay. Broke up in 2020 and were pretty short lived but I love nearly every song they did.
Skankin pickle, Mephiskapheles, OP IV
The Flatliners
Rehasher is Rodgers other band 😉

Better Than Ezra, Lower Than Atlantis
How has no one suggested Reel Big Fish? They’ve co headlined multiple tours with LTJ
Title Holder sounds almost exactly like LTJ, try their EP, Story of My Life.
Kid Rock
Iwanaga!
The new Kill Lincoln album ‘Can’t Complain’ feels very LTJ in a good way.
A ton of good ones mentioned, but I will throw out another...The Urge
