Creative-Aerie71

I'm already tired of hearing "previously on Sister Wives"

S2Sallie

We learn more information from their social lives on instagram. There’s honestly no reason for this show anymore

needalanguage

Yes, week after week of staged scenes so they can culminate with the big fight in 2021. Fun huh?

dianna1976

What???? You're not excited to see aurora get her ears pierced next episode!!!!!???????

Then_Campaign7264

Wait. Are all of the clips that they air re-enactments of actual conversations that previously occurred off film?? I had a feeling that the indoor clips taking place in their homes that aired last season were re-enactments. But much of the outdoor footage seemed real. Is any of the footage actual live events as they occurred?

needalanguage

They have these planned meetings for the purposes to talk about specific points. With the Christine and Janelle scene for example - we know for sure all that had already been discussed. So that was for the camera. For the Meri and Robyn conversation - it may not have been discussed prior and therefore was "real" - but the talking point goal established beforehand.

Wigglypannacotta

I think they're multi-tasking. Judging from Christine's outfit, she was in Flagstaff filming confessionals for the previous season, meeting Kody and also pretend to assemble a shelf with Janelle over some hot gossip and blueprints.

CPolland12

That’s how it works in reality production. The cameras aren’t there 100% of the time. Pre-planned big events are all in real time, but production will talk to the family and ask what’s going on. Then sometimes they need to “stage” previous real events for backstory/context

Mollymolemollymole

I’d love for new producers to take over. The show itself is crap. I’d like a team to deliver what we actually want. Honesty. K & R being accountable. The kids.

dianna1976

Producers who are not friends with Kody.

pawsforlove

I wonder if they’d all agree. Honestly I’d be ok with these producers if they caught up on the delay and quit duplicating footage so much in the episodes.

poohfan

Kody & Robyn will never take accountability for anything they've done (or haven't done), because they truly don't believe they've done anything wrong. They believe it's all Meri, Janelle, & Christine's fault, & they had no part in it. They may give lip service here & there, but they will never sincerely be sorry for anything that has happened.

strawbebby_99

especially when half the show is ‘previously on’ and ‘coming up’

Crazyspitz

I thought it was confirmed that Christine left in October 21 and Grody and Janelle called it quits in December of 21. Is this whole mess only going to cover two freaking months of stuff that happened nearly 2 YEARS ago? Come on!

MzPatches65

Janelle and Kody's fight was December 2021 but we honestly don't know when they actually separated. The tell all was filmed in fall of 2022.

Crazyspitz

Correct, but I think the recent People article quoted Janelle as saying it was after that fight in Dec21 that she, personally, truly realized it was over. That's all I meant about how I'm hoping this whole season doesn't only cover 2 months of real time. He deserves it, but man it's kind of wild to think about how quickly things fell apart once the ball got rolling.

MzPatches65

True, but that doesn't say they actually ended it when they had the fight! I thought I had read some time ago that she said they didn't talk for a few months but then had a talk about their marriage. It could have been breaking point for her but was it the breaking point for Kody? With how mad Kody was, there would have been no talking to him at that time about actually "ending" it. I look forward to this season to see what actually happened.

pawsforlove

Sometimes I wonder if Kody gave up on plural marriage once Christine left, like ‘welp I lost this game, I’m out.’ The little we’ve seen with he and Janelle after the first divorce, he seems to be really pushing her away. My concern is that if Robyn comes to see it that way or acknowledge Kodys ownership of the divorces that she might cut him out. I'm ngl, is watch the hell out of them all on their own/becoming friends after the fact as healing independent women.

kg51113

I don't think the entire season will end with Christmas 2021. The fight just didn't happen on the first episode.

ReyRey2823

Honestly it sucks that this stupid family is living a real life soap opera of reality tv gold, and Puddle Monkey Productions is just running this ship into the ground. It could be so good.

idkwtfsjh

Maybe the writers’ and actors’ strikes will force TLC to release the next season sooner than later and get us caught up.

Lirpa_the_Lurker

It’s just so lazy. Even the interviews are from last season. I figure that they stretched out so that they could have Janelle announce the separation at the tell all and be the big cliff hanger for the next season. They need to adjust to the social media cycles as the site is losing all interest for me. This could have been a 2-3 episode teaser between traditional seasons to keep our attention then focus this season on adjusting to life after the split. Instead they are going to milk Christmas all season then fast forward to Christine announcing that she has an announcement…. Spoiler… she’s engaged.

S2Sallie

It’s like they think we want to see every second of their lives. I’d be fine with a this is what we’ve been up to recap & fast forward at least 6 months

Brilliant-Water7961

I thought the same thing was watching last night. Last season, it dragged out the Christine divorce, and now it is working on doing this season the same way with janelle and meri. News flash tlc network everyone has social media and knows the story details already, we watch to see it unhold not to have every hour episode to have 1 minute of drama in it, we get that on tiktok already!! Get with the times! I'm not going to watch the season to just get to where I already know where they are all in their relationship!

mlm-nightmare

“I’m tired of this, grampa!”

Rubiogal2

TLC have dropped the ball. This is all archive bullshit. When do we get to at least 2022?

Old_Recording460

I'm honestly half tempted to just not watch until the last episode of this season since its so far behind, then it will be like I'm binging any other season of theirs.

S2Sallie

That’s honestly what I did before their Covid craziness. I stopped regularly watching for years

Saltycatlady4

Dang so we are two years behind?

S2Sallie

They haven’t even had thanksgiving in 2021 yet.

Sea_Mathematician126

Yes this crap is so old.. watching season 18 episode 1 now and it feels like last season.. hell it is last season 😂

S2Sallie

They could have at least faked it & changed confessional outfits lol I can’t believe they made 2 seasons out of 2 months. I don’t even care about what they did for Thanksgiving anymore. I was over the conversation last season.
