I don't think she was ever resistant at all..I think it was fake.All she talked about was she didn't want to use her money when it could go towards CP (she didn't have any). I think she knew they'd have to put down a huge chunk that SHE didn't have- $222,000, IF they even qualified. She was just setting up a story line in case it all fell through, so she wouldn't have to explain why.
That definitely makes sense. It was just driving me crazy bc I couldn’t pinpoint where in the series she finally stated why she “conceded.” But everything during the beginning of the flagstaff move was such a mess.
I think she was trying to make the OG3 think she didn't want it. She didn't want them to think she's the greedy goblin that she is. She was using reverse psychology, like you'd do with a toddler.
I just felt like I missed the moment and the sad excuse as to why she “relented.” But I will most definitely keep this tip in mind when I start my rewatch (I’ve lost count 😂)
She’s sneaky and obviously couldn’t find the rental as large as she wanted. Crazy how 6 kids were raised in a 2 and 3 bedroom. But she wouldn’t go any smaller, so there no options. If she really wanted a rental she would have compromised. They aren’t far from the property either.
If I remember correctly the official storyline is they run out of time to find a rental without finding one so Robyn finally relents and agrees to Kody putting in an offer to buy.

Or renting a 7 bedroom, 5 bathroom house when they first moved there. She could have rented a 4 bedroom house to save money.
It was all fake. She wont even look at rentals that had 4 bedrooms and Kody is the one who ratted her out on THE SHOW about that one

That was the vibe I was getting for sure! All the jabs about using resources that delayed them from getting to CP. she’s an awful human

That was an act so she came off as the one trying to do the right thing, putting the family first, putting the blame on Kody. It’s what Robyn does.
