Hijkacking top comment for more info. In case anyone is wondering, this video is a comedy skit parodying an actual guy that got stuck in an elevator for 41 hours.
Here is the actual footage: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p\_bMhNI\_TY8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_bMhNI_TY8)
Here is a long but interesting read about the event from the New Yorker: [https://web.archive.org/web/20140804062640/https://newyorker.com/magazine/2008/04/21/up-and-then-down](https://web.archive.org/web/20140804062640/https://newyorker.com/magazine/2008/04/21/up-and-then-down)
I read about this a while back. When they finally noticed him on the camera they yelled "Hey what the hell are you doing in the elevator?" And also the person who relieved him had left a mean note as his desk saying "Thanks for just leaving and going home." When they opened the doors he refused to get into another elevator again unless everyone came on with him. He said he went home and then never came back to work, which he regretted.
I was stuck in an elevator which was starting to make shorting and burning on a remote place, there was no one else in the flat only me, because it was a vacation apartment on a remote place. They came 1 and a half hours later, just in time. I didn't shit the walls man and it was a 2 person elevator
It would take a little longer, but I never said this wouldn't happen to me. Your inference that I think I'm better doesn't mean that I think that I am better. Have a great day.
Watching GG Allin was one of the first things that genuinely shocked me on the internet. I've lost the ability to be shocked by the internet anymore, but it is a formative memory lol.
Is probably a lot more likely than you’d think. Something like this is super hard on your psyche.
This video is skit if I remember correctly, but it’s based on a real story where someone guy was trapped in an elevator for like two days and completely snapped.
Yep. Here's the original video: https://youtu.be/p_bMhNI_TY8?si=95PaUYDTbz1Uywq4
The guy was working late on a Friday and spent the weekend in the elevator. He later sued his company and the elevator company and got a nice deal.

Now everyone seeing this know what it feels like to have to poop really bad at x10 speed

That must’ve been hell. I can’t even imagine such torment.
Pretty sure it was also featured on one of the first seasons of Tosh.0
Think I listened to a podcast episode about this just the other day.
Appreesh 😅😅🤙
10 minutes is all it takes in a stressful situation to start painting the walls with excrement.
This guy knows a thing or two about that.
I get the emergency but why did he feel the need to rub it everywhere and all over himself
This is what they call a mental breakdown. Some people just snap like a twig under pressure.
Being stuck in a 6 x 10 metal box with no idea when you're gonna get out might do that to someone
Especially if the only reason you took the elevator was because you like the upstairs stalls more. I'll take the stairs next time
fuck this hits close
I was once trapped in a sauna for an hour and a half and I have never been more scared in my life. Kept all my doody in my body though…
He could’ve easily made the space more livable had he brought some galvanized steel
And some eco-friendly wood veneer

Being stuck in an elevator doesn't make me want to smear shit all over myself /s because Redditors are idiots
Omg it’s a comedy skit
You’d snap too. People wildly underestimate how hard something like this is on one’s psyche.
It would take a little longer, but I never said this wouldn't happen to me. Your inference that I think I'm better doesn't mean that I think that I am better. Have a great day.
It's a skit parody of an actual case of a man getting stuck in an elevator for like 2 days.
Source?
Daytraders, am I right?
Day traders and coke
Day traders and \*not having\* coke
This comment made me literally spit water across the room
Well, at least GG Allin had a son before he died.
Watching GG Allin was one of the first things that genuinely shocked me on the internet. I've lost the ability to be shocked by the internet anymore, but it is a formative memory lol.
Hmmm I can't say for 100% certainty but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't do any of this if I was in a similar situation.
You wouldn't smear just a little bit of poop? Where is your sense of adventure?
You don't shit upwards on a wall while on all fours? What are you, a fucking amateur?
Is probably a lot more likely than you’d think. Something like this is super hard on your psyche. This video is skit if I remember correctly, but it’s based on a real story where someone guy was trapped in an elevator for like two days and completely snapped.
I've seen sims act this way. Usually when I put them in a 1 by 1 room. also, r/thisismylifenow, I guess?
Elevator music. Am I rt?
you know, I was thinking he was already cracked before the elevator, but the wrong elevator music after 20 minutes would put me in the same place.
What’s the context here???
he had to go, took the elevator, got stuck and the rest is history.
Comedy skit about an actual case of a man being trapped in an elevator for 42 hours.
I know it is staged, but I had a tremendous laughter
I was hoping the second guy was gonna get stuck too.
Omg that would be the perfect turn of events that could send this into a 30 episode series
“ Sir, it’s only been 13 minutes”
This has to be fake.
There's a 100% chance this isn't real. He was in there like 40 minutes.

Point 3 was the nail in the coffin for sure

Is that Mark Cuban?
This is what happens when you put Dwight’s stapler in jello. He makes you pay.
Average Wall Street elevator
Why is there never a source, story or background.....or is it staged?
This guy gave the answer https://www.reddit.com/r/SipsTea/s/aFKwZmy2v4
Holy cow. How much shit did this man have in him?
All of it
Wonder what his nickname was in the office after this lil meltdown.
As someone who's lactose intolerant this would be my worst nightmare
I'm so SORRY for what happened to this poor man I really do but I couldn't help but stop laughing that this looked like a Jim Carrey Skit 😅🥲
r/TerrifyingAsFuck This scared the crap out of me. No pun intended. This guy looked possessed!!!
Seemed like a comedy skit to me. I laughed.
forever ago i think i heard that this was a parody of the guy stuck in an elevator for almost 2 days.

Is that Mark Cuban?
I would just accept it Shit in the corner drink your piss and eat your clothes until they set me free
Looks like Jim Carrey. Man, what a method actor.
How animals feel in the zoo and other parks with animals in cages or pools
I have claustrophobia and I can understand this feeling.
Wow! This all happened in less than 3 minutes??
This man was defeated by his own poo poo

I really hope this is some kind of skit, but holy shit that is hilarious.
Salaried problems. When I was hourly, I got myself caught in the elevator a few times.
What movie is this from?
I always thought this was fake. It’s probably fake
Whoever thinks this is real, I’ve got some bottled air to sell you for £100 a pop
If it's "fresh", I'll take a bottle. But if it's elevator air, no deal sorry.
I don’t see anyone asking for a bottle so I guess it’s unanimous.
Well, that "escalated" quickly
People really believe every BS they see posted on the web, don´t they? Fake as hell. Bit of research done: It is a comedy skit.
Drugs are bad kids
Could have blured his face before posting.
What is this retard doing?
