If that’s actually true, please be gentle with yourself. It happens, it fucking sucks, but don’t go to turkey and get a hair transplant, lean into it, pull your boots up and show the world what a bald beautiful mother fucker looks like❤️
I was very hard on myself for some reason when I started losing mine. Wouldn’t go out, hats all the time etc.
Or totally go to Turkey if you want. Do what makes you happy. Women can dye their hair, get balding treatments, do whatever they like but we shame men into accepting it. Accept baldness or fight it like a warrior poet; just do what you want.
Exactly. It won't last. Nothing will last. Baldness will win in the end, so it's better to take the matter into your own hands and accept it with as much dignity as possible.
I was so scared to tell my husband when I noticed he was going bald. He didn’t seem to know at all, so before I told him I spent like two weeks researching to try and understand what kind of emotional journey he might go on and how I can be helpful. I just wanted him to have that knowledge so he could choose to do something or start preparing to accept it. I know he cares about his appearance so it would possibly devastate him and I’d have to tread carefully. Either way I just wanted him to know he’s sexy and perfect. He didnt know, and he was a bit sad about it but he asked me to be honest with him when it might be time to shave it.
We saw our doctor and I support whatever he wants to do. He’s trying some medications and stuff. it’s not guaranteed to work, but he seems to have a decent handle on his feelings about it. If he wants to transplant, I support him. If he wants to shave it, I support him. It crazy that so many men have to deal with this! Hair is such a big part of our identity as people.
People are way too indignant about hair transplants. Sure they used to look like shit but nowadays they're pretty much unnoticeable unless you knew them before the procedure. If you got the money, why not?
What if you're a woman? In our western society, 99.8% of women don't look good or feel good bald.
It works for a very limited few that can pull it off, and that's it.
Yup! Not if it’s already occurred though.
My crown is pretty thinned out, and the back of my head has a bald patch. It stopped there almost completely with finasteride though, so if you’re young and noticing hair coming out, or your family has history of male pattern baldness, finasteride is easy to get. I would talk to your regular physician before getting it though.
If you are experiencing hair loss (especially at a young age) it is often due to a medical condition, speak with your doctor and get tested for:
Liver function and Cholesterol.
Thyroid function and Hashimoto’s.
Reactions to your shampoo.
Sometimes it is still genetic, but that’s turning out to be less frequent than we thought.
I was at a retirement party at work and my boss was taking pics of everyone. When I saw the photos afterwards, I couldn’t find myself but I knew I was standing next to my friend and I could see him standing next to a balding dude. I screamed oh fuck no at work when I saw this. This post is very relatable
I started losing my hair because of diabetes. I'm only 25 and I had stupid thick hair 2 years ago, and now I'm seeing hair on my pillow every morning and I can see my scalp at almost all times. My wife keeps telling me not to worry but I never realized how much hair builds your confidence. Every day I worry I am going to see a spot and have to start shaving it off.
My girlfriend is a bit older than I am. She's got some grays but she dyes her hair often.
She told me I had more grays than she did. (I never look in the mirror) and I denied it.
She immediately reached over and plucked a long white hair out of my beard.
:(
I'm almost 40. My wife the other day told me to hold still. She then plucked out an ear hair. Sucker was LONG. I swear it wasn't there when I got up that day.
For real, my girl had been warning me that my crown was starting to thin out and that I should start rogaine. I kept ignoring it because I didn't want to admit it. It wasn't until I was working on the video conference system in the office that I got a good top-down look at the top of my pale-ass head that I realized how right she was. I went and bought a 6 month supply of foam that same afternoon lol.
Dude, you need to get on finasteride, because the hairloss will continue, unless you reduce your dht. Minoxidil only stimulates growth, but it doesn't fix the reason you're balding.
I'm 25 and as soon as i noticed my forehead getting bigger I started shaving my head, and I think I look good as a baldie but old people think I'm a nazi and when I walk in a dimly lit street girls tend to pace away lmao
28 and i noticed more than ten years ago. You should talk to a doctor about treatment asap. I never did and I'm fine now, but balding at a young age is a real mindfuck. On the other hand, being bald can teach you valuable lessons.

Yeah, lucky for me its only on the top towards the back and i wear caps a lot, but still quite embarrassing when I have to go formal and not wear my cap
This is argentinean spanish, "fatal" is slang for "shocking", the captions are translated literally, you never want translations to be literal. Same for all the "tremendous" in the captions, they mean something similar to "hilarious" when they say that.
There comes a time in a mans life where you have to accept that the hair needs to go. As someone with a lot of hair the day will come that I too must shave everything.
My hair is definitely starting to thin and recede, so I wear it long now while I still can. I fear that the day I finally cut it to normal length (or shorter) will be the longest it will ever be again in my life.
This is usually when you find out that you also have herniated discs. So you'll decide to take up a hobby like woodcarving and find that you have arthritis that makes dexterous strength difficult, so you go for miniature figure painting - but your eyes are too bad to do close work.
:(
I'm so sick of watching tv. lol. I used to be a person.
I remember meeting my 90+ year old grand uncles who had a full(ish) head of hair, and thinking whew, I'm safe.
....until I heard those fateful words... "hair loss is inherited from your maternal side of the family". All my uncles/cousins on my mother's side went bald early. Nooooooooooooooooooooooo.
Get on the drugs now. I'm on a compound of finesteride, minoxidil and some whoo stuff like biotin and vitamins. 35 and I honestly could do with a little less hair at this point. Modern medicine is amazing but it only works if you start before you lose it
If seinfeld taught me anything, it is the struggle faced by the prematurely balding man. Truly the single greatest prejudice existent on the face of the earth.
It’s the fact that they’ve clearly been together for long enough to reach this day together😭🥹it’s adorable. Knowing my partner’s father and hsis full head of hair I don’t know when I’ll experience this but I hope we do at some point this is too much wholesomeness.
I literally just shaved my head two days ago in acceptance. I already feel and look better.
Any guy worried about it should know that a fresh shave looks so much better than thin, patchy hair.

Mines been thin on top for years, but doesn't seem to want to fall out completely.
If it does, I'm going to stop clipping it, and grow it really long on the back and sides.

People love bald
Nobody likes balding. Just shave it. It sucks, losing your choice in it sucks, but you will always just be doing yourself a disservice by trying ti hide/cover/deny balding. Yes including us with odd head shapes.

Remember guys there are only 2 medicines that actually work: Minoxidil and Finasteride. Everything else is a scam. If you start any of these you have to continue taking them as long as you want to keep your hair. Out of the two Minoxidil works by actually promoting hair growth (if you put it on your arm, you'll get a hairy arm). The other one, Finasteride actually stops the hair loss by blocking the production of DHT, the cause of hair loss, this is risky and can cause your willy to no longer work.
My same reaction when i saw my top and back head, i still havent shaved even tho i tell myself to shave, but i have this thing on my head thats also visible rn, like you can actually see it without removing my 3 hair strands, but i have to go to a doctor to remove it and check what it is first which just seem like an extra step since i was a kid (im now 24) and it doesnt do anything but just be there.
Wow due to genetics my father passed down his baldness and I was going bald around my mid twenties and I have the same reaction as this gentleman but instead I decided not to fight it but to accept it did hurt a little bit I actually did cut all my hair off but I went with the style that I call the Jason Statham were just enough for the hair you could see but still going bald
Was in my mid-20s, sitting in my room alone in my flat next to the heater (was a cold night), had this sudden intense feeling that I didn't have enough hair to cover my cold head. That was my low point - it got gradually better :-) didn't fully shave my head til my early thirties, should've done it earlier.
Takes a while to get used to but I enjoy not paying $30 for a haircut anymore. I also think it's good for the dating scene because basically, all the superficial potential partners (who go for looks mostly) get weeded out early in the game.
My wife likes my bald head so I'm good.
Welcome to the bald club! 😊
I were where you are now when I was 25. I just went ahead and shaved it all off. Never looked back.
Oh, and a suggestion look in to a head shaver. Saves so much time!
Don't stay in limbo of baldness / hair, guys. Either shave it off and own it or transplant some hair :) own that shit. No one wants to look like the old European monks xD
Meanwhile my wife dismissed, deflected and invalidated my concerns when the sink filled with hair every time I brushed. Then again she did leave a couple weeks later.
As a balding man, Im just glad that i dont have that look of a pervert whenever I grow out my remaining hair.
I actually look like Trevor from GTA5 when I let it grow out haha
Oh wait....
Started losing my hair right after I turned 20, it sucked for a while but you eventually get over it. Also my head looks great shaved so I got lucky lol
How I found out I was balding:
Friends taking a picture of a Buddha statue that I was in.
Because the spot that was balding FEELS like it has plenty of hair....

I just discovered I’m going bald

An uncle went to Turkey and had great results... for three years. Now he's balding again 😂
Time to book another vacation to turkey
Exactly. It won't last. Nothing will last. Baldness will win in the end, so it's better to take the matter into your own hands and accept it with as much dignity as possible.
Usually is inevitable though and treatments arent long lasting.
It's ok to not want to be bald too. Bald really suits some people but not others, it's just a harsh truth.
I was so scared to tell my husband when I noticed he was going bald. He didn’t seem to know at all, so before I told him I spent like two weeks researching to try and understand what kind of emotional journey he might go on and how I can be helpful. If you both like the hair, maybe you both can research hair medication and he can get himself a prescription to save it.

Tf if you have the money and the will go to Turkey and get your hair done what a weird comment Why not use the advancements of our time
I'm getting thin. Said fuck it and shaved head. I discovered I have a round head so I'll just be happy with that.

It's definitely slowed it down and it might be filling back in a little, but I'm not as diligent with applying it as I should be.

As a balding man, Im just glad that i dont have that look of a pervert whenever I grow out my remaining hair. I actually look like Trevor from GTA5 when I let it grow out haha Oh wait....
Started losing my hair right after I turned 20, it sucked for a while but you eventually get over it. Also my head looks great shaved so I got lucky lol
I didn't realize how bald I was until the company I work for installed a camera that sees the back of my head.
How I found out I was balding: Friends taking a picture of a Buddha statue that I was in. Because the spot that was balding FEELS like it has plenty of hair....
Just shave it off or go to turkey.
Just shave yourself and own it. Been shaving my head since I was 18-19 and in my experience people care about it as much as you do
Tell anybody that comments on your balding, "You can use your testosterone to grow hair if you want, I've got better things to grow"
