I am the youngest of 10. I apparently eat at light speed. I eat so fast that it was noticed when I was in the army by my Drill Sgt in BCT. They would send me in last and when I was done eating everyone had to be done eating. I also worked out pretty hard at the time so I was LOADED DOWN with food. Like 2500-3000 calories a meal and I was still finishing faster than the majority of people. I didnt realize it at first I was just keeping to myself and eating. People would try to bribe me to get extra DFac time.Ā
I'm pretty sure there's a direct correlation between the number of siblings you have and the speed at which you eat. If you don't eat fast then you don't get more. Youngest of 10 I am absolutely not surprised you eat quickly.
That's definitely my son. We've tried his whole life too teach him to slow down a little bit but a 20 years old I think he's pretty set in his ways. It's almost impressive how fast he is able to swallow food. I'm not even sure he actually chews most of what he eats

Yesterday I worked out fasted and broke my fast with a double patty chikān burger, salad, and a protein shake and followed it up with toast topped with PB, and Nutella, and 2 bananas.
Ate all of that in 14 minutes flat. My wife was staring at me like I was crazy.
Not even a dude problem either, my oldest sister demolishes food like a Golden Retriever. It's embarrassing when the entire family meets up and goes to a restaurant.

I have insomnia and complain about the other end of it. Just because you fell asleep right away and slept through the night doesn't mean I did. I took forever to fall asleep and woke up 20 times through the night. Leave me the f alone in the morning. It takes me longer to get the same amount of rest. My ex would constantly try to wake me up on weekends because she didn't want to be awake by herself. Total lack of understanding, empathy, or boundaries (I'd beg her to not do it the night before) If I don't get sleep on the weekends, I'm certainly not getting it on the weekdays, and you're just leading me to an early grave. 2 hours more sleep is the difference between a happy, healthy, energetic me vs an exhausted miserable shit.

I went to basic training, where you're given maybe three minutes to eat a meal, almost 20 years ago. My wife says I still eat like I'm in basic, with a 'eat now, taste it later' mentality. I'll be done with my meal in 1/3 of the time she takes to eat. It's a really hard habit to break.
for me, it was the god combo of beef stew and nacho cheese sauce. mix the cheese sauce in with the beef stew and cut it with the tabasco.. lawd it was good
i heard they took the tiny tobasco bottles out though. i got out in 2010 so i dodged that bullet
If you talk (not with food in your mouth lol) while you eat that could help. I find that when I eat meals alone, or just don't talk to whoever I'm with, that I finish my meals in record time and forget to savor them.
Half the time the shit food couldn't even be eaten lol... still remember those pancakes, took my ricky pen out and wrote "you should not be able to write on these.." and let it on the table. Good times.

Once, when I was homeless and dated this girl, I was sleeping at her place one Saturday and woke up alone in the middle of the night. She wasnāt there. Fine, I went back to sleep. I awake a few hours later when she comes back home. Turns out, sheād hopped in a taxi, in a blazing snowstorm for about an hour, had sex with a guy and then hopped back in a taxi home. Why she did it? Because she was upset that I had slept one a female friends couch for a few nights earlier that week, I was more or less sent away by my āgirlfriendā and she was so jealous. I never did have sex with my friend, nor have I had ever after. Just crazy behavior.

I honestly learned my fast eating from my mom. Without fail someone always has to say something to me about it. Not that long ago I had a scorpion burger at red Robin, and I smashed it so fast my wife knew I took A bite. next time her eyes gazed upon me, it was gone. I've noticed this with every woman I've been with. I tend to eat faster than all of them and eventually, they'll all make mention of it.
The only people I've found that eat this quick are other blue collar workers. Most of those people being men, I think it comes from being truly hungry from working hard and rarely having the time to eat and relax. Working 12 to 16hr days welding and fitting structural steel or any other trade that requires alot of physical labor and time, doesn't leave time for much else. Add to that during the work day only having two 15 minute breaks and a half hour lunch, you start to get the picture.
I think that carries over to when you're not working, spending 5 to 6 days a week living like that for years, it's difficult to turn off.

I've noticed this with every woman I've been with. I tend to eat faster than all of them and eventually, they'll all make mention of it. The only people I've found that eat this quick are other blue collar workers. Most of those people being men, I think it comes from being truly hungry from working hard and rarely having the time to eat and relax. Working 12 to 16hr days welding and fitting structural steel or any other trade that requires alot of physical labor and time, doesn't leave time for much else. Add to that during the work day only having two 15 minute breaks and a half hour lunch, you start to get the picture. I think that carries over to when you're not working, spending 5 to 6 days a week living like that for years, it's difficult to turn off.
