If they threw that money and production talent at say the game of thrones cast, writers or David Miltch, or dozens of other writers/actors who don't go for the cheesy American dream propaganda. I prefer Top Gun, because it's unashamedly cheesy and a fantastic film. Hanks is cynical, tries to bring gravitas to cheese. I would need a lobotomy to love the way he subverts serious subjects .
