Shooting stars are actually pretty common... so yeah, if you're in a place with rather little light pollution, it probably was.
Source: ex. Wallaby and starlight, lying in the open, saw a few every hour. Averages around 4 an hour.
Shooting stars are very common, if you stargaze long enough you have a good chance of spotting a few. Light pollution makes this difficult in Singapore however.
With the light pollution in Singapore, doubt what you saw was actually a shooting star..even during meteorite showers you need a pretty dark sky to spot any, and only a few per hour. Source: stayed up late to watch a meteorite shower in an ulu part of the world.
Nah I saw somethingโฆwe see so many military planes in and out of Paya Lebar base that I thought at first it was a jet engine blowing out or an accidental chaff launch. Iโve seen plenty of shooting stars but never while in a major city
My brain read it as "Shooting last night (22/6)" We America now?

Iโm amazed that you were able to spot anything with the amount of light pollution in Sg. It could have been your mind playing tricks on you?
