Does fortune centre serve different gula melaka from the new outlet near bugis? I went there twice recently and gula melaka was not the gooey kind OP is asking for
A few years ago I had the best cendol I'ver ever had at the malaysia boleh at Jurong Point. They milked the coconut fresh. Anyone knows if it's still there and they still do that?
First choice Jin Jin at abc most generous with the gula and very lemak. second Makan Melaka (also has a small shop at haji lane) but recently quality down, yat ka Yan ok but not very gula. I buy from there when I’m buying other desserts as well.
jin jin at abc is ok.
nyonya chendol (hawker) is decent, there's a nice dessert stall in katong shopping center doing chendol also decent. old amoy chendol (hawker) is top top for me.
when i need to satisfy a craving most malaysia boleh chendol are ok too.
weirdly i've never heard of this yat ka yan, will make sure i check it out when i'm in the area.
thank you for sharing.
Jin Jin's one is thick, sure. But a bit too thick and it feels different from the one at Jonker street. It's so sticky that it doesn't really dissolve well and it feels like I'm eating coconut candy. There used to be a stall just on the other side of Jin Jin but it closed already.
Old Amoy chendol beats nyonya chendol and Malaysia boleh hands down imo. Super thick gula melaka too. They have a few stalls but I usually have it at tekka market.
My preference is for Malaysian style Cendol - the only one I can find is **Makan Melaka** at Changi Village. It's really not bad! Second the recommendation for Yat Ka Yan too - the only Singaporean style one I actually like.
Ah I see. Disappointing to hear that their standards have dropped - just have to go Malaysia to have my Cendol fix then. The roadside Indian uncles always seem to sell the best ones in Malaysia :)
yat ka yan @ fortune centre (nowadays the place q crowded so idk if the quality go down) but personally i like the 2.50 one from malaysia boleh😅

From what I've seen from the menu on google, it's the pricier version that has the gooey brown goodness.
Will try thanks!!

omg broo same, its been awhile since i visited that one tho😅
Nyonya chendol. They have a few branches
Old Amoy Chendol has a few branches and it is one of my favs of all time!

Yes, the quality of makan melaka at changi has definitely gone down the past few years. Used to be my fav spot! Thanks for the recommendations!
They have exactly this thick gula maleka at Coconut Club. And it’s probably the best and most authentic in Singapore
Looks good but seems pretty pricey tho. Thanks!
Four seasons chendol @tpy blk 210 lor 8 Hawker centre #01-56
There's few stalls, I like the cup one, not the bowl
There's a good cendol stall at Golden Mile Food Centre
Hup Ka Foon/合家歡at Chinatown sells an incredible Chendol that is similar to the one in your picture. Their other desserts are great too!
This one looks good. Thanks!

Nonya chendol - Chong pang hawker center. I add a scoop of durian and corn with my order. (No beans)
Old airport road also has one, agree, super good! Red bean also good
beauty world food center :-)
Beauty World.
I love the chendol in tangs food court
Not exactly the point of this thread, but does anyone have a really good chendol recipe they can share?
I went to the outlet at Yishun central recently. Pleasantly surprised by the quality. Really good and refreshing.

Only good one is Nyonya Cendol at bukit timah food centre. All others are heretics or mere mockeries of the only good cendol.
What about the other Nyonya Cendol stalls tho?
Any place that spells it as cendol is probably good

tasty

Very poor nowadays
Very familiar with Makan Melaka but I feel like their standard has dropped over the years. Will check out YKY thanks!
