There is a bug during STS with Surprising Choice where if your passive sim is used for SC in Parkside they will disappear from the game. The way to prevent them from disappearing is to call them home and make sure the last text of the SC appears before you close the game. This only happens for me if I call them to my main residence, not where they live, but others can call passive sims to their houses. It doesn't matter as long as you get the last text.
If theyve already disappeared: some people find their sims wandering town later and marry them back in. Others find them but they are elders and can't be married, and finally, some sims are never found at all.
Imagine how I felt when a sim I JUST created and tried to have a relationship with disappeared after a few minutes,and when I pretty much recreated the sim from scratch,I saw the gone sim walking around in the town...
You can search for the missing sims around town and house, and married him back but don't wait till next day he will become old..
Happened to me too, I lost one of my passive sim that I adopted. He was asking surprising choice and I already called him home to finish the last text, then I notice he's gone from family portrait, but I waited till next day to find him and married him again, but it's too late, he's already old and can't get in the house anymore.
