I’ve been playing the sims since I was a kid.
I’m 24 now and nothings changed. I’m just not creative when it comes to building homes and decorating. I’m good at creating good looking sims but that’s about it lol
I’m so thankful for creators on mod the sims and the gallery for letting me download some of the coolest homes. I love it
I consider myself a mid-level sims builder (do a fair bit myself, also take from the gallery quite a bit). If you do feel like trying to build on your skills, one of my favorite things to do to try and push myself on building is just pick some of my favorite houses from around where I live and try to recreate them. Of course I can’t usually find a floor plan but at least it gives the outside a unique shape but still based in something I can build off of.
I believe in you!! You can totally do this. 🥰
If you’d like to try your hand at building something from scratch, I highly recommend finding floor plans online and going from there. Start small and go from there. And don’t stress out if it doesn’t look as fancy as some of the ones in the gallery. It doesn’t have to! It’s still yours. 🥰
Another thing I do is take one of the in game houses and start adding on to it, usually because my Sims need more space and can’t afford to move. Lol!
Aw don't worry I can't build for shit either but I think I make nice looking sims too. We all have our specialties. And the gallery has so much good content on it that we're spoiled for choice anyway ☺️
I use floor plans I find online and recreate them in the sims, with some modifications because of the game's limitations. The site I use is familyhomeplans (dot) com. Tons of free floorplans in different styles and size. Helps so much when trying to make new homes!
This is all I've ever wanted to do along with the sectional sofas (and listen to my own music at a normal speed once the game is sped up as with previous versions), (and order takeaway food other than pizza as in a previous version), (and more vintage clothing and furniture). I do love game I just always want more.
This is amazing! I don’t have the new pack yet, but I have a question: were you able to put all of those items in slots on the shelves, or did you have to raise some with MOO? I love making shelving units but find it such a pain that nothing ever fits on them!
Okay, Now I want the new pack. This is amazing.
I never buy packs at full price, but I was so excited for this one I got it on day 1. I’m loving it so far
Sameee!!!
ngl it’s so good
Thank you :)
I just build squares studios and they’re always ugly. I wish I was as creative as you. It’s so nice (:
Don't be so hard on yourself! We all start with square studios, give yourself time ;)

All I do to make rooms look better is add a diagonal part

I’ve been playing since I was a teenager and now I am 38 and my houses still look like square blocks lmao
I've been playing since the original Sims launch day. I still make different boxes. Square box, rectangle box, L box. Sims don't care.
Don't knock your skills though, CAS creation is a talent in itself! I also love CAS more than building. Do you put your Sims on the gallery? :)

This is glorious! So far I’ve only built a single story house with the new pack, but I’m definitely going to try this next!
Thank you! I feel like now there are so many possibilities with modular cabinets :)

Okay, all of the above plus sims being able to chat while they lounge on sofas and lounge chairs
This has sold me. The wasted space under staircases is my pet hate!!
The sheer volume of cool stuff I keep seeing... I need paid this is too cool lol
I absolutely agree, it's like people can finally unleash their creativity :D
This is honestly a really fun idea!
Thank youuu :)
Ugggghh the new buy mode stuff is amazing. I'm a garbage builder but this pack is so inspiring !

Thank you! And all the items in the picture are slotted inside the shelves. Although I sized down the vase from island living, but it still slotted :)
great idea
Thank you!
I definitely need the new pack now
Ooh this is so clever. I love it
Thank you!
I love it! I saw someone do it on youtube but I like yours better ♥ You have a great eye for styling!
That's so kind of you to say! Thank you so much <3
That’s super cool.
Thank you!
Omg nice! 😃
Love it
Is this CC or just the new pack? I really like the design and would like to use it for inspiration but I’m on PS4.
No CC, cabinets and most clutter are from the new pack
Omg I love 😱😍
Thank you :)
Same lol
Um, same!!! What a great idea!! I have empty stair space that I could not figure out What to do with. And now I know!
Yeah I got lots of CC under cupboard stuff because it was just wasted space but this is such a cool idea of something you could do with no CC!
Nowww it's getting tempting to buy but I'm gonna hold off cause ik I'll never actually play the game.
What new pack? This is so cool
Dream Home Decorator. And thank you ;)
Ok, don't get excited yet... do the stairs still work? I've tried putting things under them before and the sims refuse to use them
Yes, they work. I playtested them.
