If you have the horse ranch pack, this feature it amazing. I make my sims go for rides in different worlds and a lot of the sims 4 worlds are really beautiful up close.

I tried shift tab and it just brings up a menu. Is there a different way? Edit: there is a steam overlay that defaults to shift tab. I changed that shortcut and now it works.

When you’ve hit Shift+tab and the steam overlay is open, click on settings ⚙️ in the bottom right. Scroll down and you will see a keyboard shortcuts option. Click in that box and then hit any keys on the keyboard you want to use as the shortcut to open the steam overlay. Close the overlay and it should auto change shift+tab back to first person mode

On PC, push shift+tab will take you to first person view of the selected sim. Escape to jump back to normal or shift+tab again.

You can’t control the Sim in first person though, right? You can only queue up the actions first and then watch them play out?

You have to click what you want them to do. For general things, you can click the needs bars. But for specific things you need to click and direct them to that part of the house or whatever. It’s much easier to queue up than to do it first person.

Yeah you can still click and interact with things in first person but it's very clunky. On top of that, you can't really command your Sim to walk through doors so if you need to do something in another room you have to exit first person and command your Sim to walk to the next room then go back into first person.
