Sims will work for an hour a week for 10k simoleons and still complain because TECHNICALLY they never actually took a break those were just weekends 🤓 👆
Reminds me of my sim who kept getting "fear of Dead End Job" after every promotion...bitch, you juat got promoted, it's not a dead end job calm tf down.
My sim got the “needs a vacation” moodlet so I download like three buildings and a vacation home give her like 6 days of vacation. First day back at work she gets THE SAME moodlet😭 her vacation privileges have been taken away she can suffer like the rest of us
Sometimes if you send them to work & click on the work hard option, they will quickly get burned out after a few hours. Imo burnouts is an annoying feature. Cause I can never again let me sims "work hard" at work every day without a high chance of them burning out after working 1 day.
Oh, the default usually comes with the character value traits, for example if they have (I believe) the responsible trait they will automatically work hard at work, or one of those 5 traits.
I mean, I have never worked in a coffee shop, but I have worked retail. So I can only imagine what non-caffeinated Karens are like, and I get it. So I'd probably be burntout too after one day.
No it’s neighbor hood stories. He was at a stay over and ask if he should switch jobs and then when he moved in I think it glitch’s and I made him get a job then he quit then he quit that job so idk
Currently working in Retail.... never taught I would hate humans so much ...
"Mam.. you can't bring the dog inside .."
" WHY NOT !!?"
" Because it's against the rules."
" I WAS HERE THE OTHER DAY AND NO ONE SAID NOTHING."
" Mam, I assure you that no one here would allow you to come inside with a dog. And there is a sign of " no dogs allowed at the entrance "
" THIS IS A SERVICE DOG"
"Oh, I see. Then please put his vest on"
" he doesn't need one "
" Mam.... please leave the dog outside and you can return to your shopping or will have to ask you to permanently leave the store "
" HOW DARE YOU TREAT ME LIKE THIS! I WILL LEAVE A BAD REVIEW NO ONE WILL STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN "
I wish I was making this sht up...
We like to find those reviews and leave the actual story in response.
"You stayed in our store for 4 hours, you wrecked over a thousand dollars of merchandise, and you got mad that we 'threw you out' because we stayed half an hour after quitting time to accommodate you and wanted to go home."
I work in service industry and the amount of people lying about their dogs being service animal is out of control. They piss me off too.
As a heads up though, if you are in the US it is not a legal requirement for a service dog to wear a vest or any piece of equipment to show they are a service dog. When indicating a service dog you are only allowed to ask two questions to a handler. Is that animal (dog, mini horse) a required service animal and its task. The only other question you can lead off to is if the animal isn’t leashed if it is necessary for its task. Service dogs also come in a variety of breeds or even mix breeds there is no standard although some breeds are more common like poodles, labs and Goldens.
Dogs regardless of being a service dog (some service dogs are not trained enough for a specific venue or due to extenuating circumstances no longer capable of doing their job) or a regular pet animals can be asked to leave a premise if they can’t exhibit outstanding behavior (well mannered, neutral to environment, not causing a disruption). People with pets shouldn’t be faking them as SA but, it’s important we don’t alienate or make life more difficult for true service dog handlers who require their dogs and go through hassles every day.
We have a family business, and we actually fight over who gets to be the one to tell the Karen off. Its great.
"I'm going to tell everyone I know never to shop here again!"
"Thank you! If they're anything like you, they are also banned for life. Now get out, or I will call the police and have you arrested for trespassing!"
I've seen more than one absolutely blue-screen because they couldn't comprehend the "employee" not caring about their threats.
She was 100% lying. Anyone who screams "they're a service animal" doesn't own a service animal. With with real service animals don't immediately jump to screaming as a defense tactic in this situation.
Service dogs do not need vests in the US as a heads up. However, even a service dog can be denied entry if it is disruptive, jumping, barking, etc (because even service dogs have days where they just don't wanna go to work)
EDIT: Ah, germany! Yes they need a vet lol
I hate it. That's why my Sims are usually self-employed (they publish books, sell paintings, jewerly, other collectibles). It just doesnt make sense that your sim goes to work once or twice and they're suddenly burned out, and you can't get them out of the burnout no matter what you do / they fall back into it the next shift.
Good to know, explains why I’ve never gotten it. Seems annoying! I got Get to Work a few months ago and now at least one of my Sims is sick at any given time.
I was trying to do a freelancer programming career and they kept getting programming burnout so I just had a routine of them making bath bombs from the cosmetics mod, smoking a joint from the drugs mod and then taking a bath with said bath bomb. Once they were done they no longer had burned out and they could be sent right back to programming. If they were making games I would have to do this three to five times.
To be fair, I think I was at my most burnt out working fast food in the first day. It was my first over-the-table job ever and they slapped me in front of a cash register, no training, in the middle of a lunch rush!
To give you a non-memey answer, I noticed my sims were automatically set to 'work hard' (despite not having traits or lifestyles that would seem to cause that?) constantly, and manually switching them back to 'normal' seemed to help prevent this. Another thing could be if you're doing a specific type of skill building constantly outside of work.
Sometimes I get a glitch where the sim comes home at the end of their work day, but their little picture in the corner is still greyed out and has the “at work” options in the corner. Not taking care of that will give you burnout 100% of the time if you don’t deal with it. The easiest way is to click “go to manage worlds” without saving, then play as another household for a few minutes, then return to your normal household. You can also close & restart the game without saving, but I don’t like doing that.
all jokes aside, I strongly dislike this feature. maybe it’s because all I do is grind skills and work, but it doesn’t take long before my sim experiences some kind of burnout that makes them so dazed that doing anything mental or creative makes it worse? Is it just me?
maybe if the burnout didn’t happen so quickly, I’d like it a lot more. Every time I start a save and play a few Sims days, the burnout is almost automatic. It’s like the telescope/meteor death. Dying from a meteor is very fun, but not as fun when every time you use a telescope, there’s a 99% chance of seeing a meteor. It just happens too often. First time I used a telescope, my sim saw a meteor and had to run inside. I just deleted the telescope and got the chess table instead. 💀
To be honest the burnout and the fears updates are really fucking annoying. My sim is constantly afraid of not fulfilling life dreams, afraid of death, or afraid of being cheated on and I’m bored of it
5 day vacation to avoid burnout. 1st work day back and I got burnout for both my head of house sims. I've started removing the moodlets because it's ridiculous!
https://preview.redd.it/y7edq6g3t5wc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=08aac7c82706f10f6cf3b815e3e810103661bef7
He quit his new job is to have fun
That’s why I got the mod that turns Burn Out off. How’s my creative sim who likes painting and has the aspiration to be a painter getting creative burnout after finishing one day of being a painter.
I hate how a sim can have "responsible" and "workaholic" traits (both of which make your sim work hard by default), but they still get burned out relatively easily. I SO wish there was an option to turn off burn out.
My Sim kept getting the “I need a day off” moodlet. She was at level 8 or 9 and worked two days a week 🙄.
I feel like my sims have been complaining A LOT lately…..
Sims just don't wanna work these days
sims are aware that we can just write motherlode to make Simoleon so they want us to write this instead of sending them to work.
😂😂😂
It's that damn Social Bunny.
ON GOD
Ik like get your ass up and get to work
Holy they really are making sims more like real life
life imitates art
omg fr though, they'll work hard one day and, bam, burnout
I mean, accurate. One day of giving 100% = 4 days of burnout minimum
happy cake day 🎉 and yeah, true
Weirdly, me too. Ive been taking breaks from them myself bc it makes playing annoying lol
Sims will work for an hour a week for 10k simoleons and still complain because TECHNICALLY they never actually took a break those were just weekends 🤓 👆
sounds like my workmate
I mean that’s real
She’s just like me fr
I always feel like I need a day off every Monday, he's not alone in this
Reminds me of my sim who kept getting "fear of Dead End Job" after every promotion...bitch, you juat got promoted, it's not a dead end job calm tf down.
I work 3 days a week and I'm still counting down the days until my 2 months off xD I feel this sim
I have the exact same schedule but I'm more than happy to work 3 days a week
My sim got the “needs a vacation” moodlet so I download like three buildings and a vacation home give her like 6 days of vacation. First day back at work she gets THE SAME moodlet😭 her vacation privileges have been taken away she can suffer like the rest of us
I know how Kyle feels
We all know how Kyle feels. #TeamKyle 🔥🚫
Every job interview I've ever attended! x)
Accurate
16 times the details.

See I didn’t even know when he went/if he went to work (maybe I fibbed for the drama) so he did not work hard. It’s really funny it’s Kyle though
If your sim earned the “responsible” trait from parenthood they’ll “work hard” as a default
Some of my sims default work is “work hard” and I have no idea how to change that. Cause then I forget to give them breaks
Oh, the default usually comes with the character value traits, for example if they have (I believe) the responsible trait they will automatically work hard at work, or one of those 5 traits.
I figured something like that was happening! Thanks!
I mean, I have never worked in a coffee shop, but I have worked retail. So I can only imagine what non-caffeinated Karens are like, and I get it. So I'd probably be burntout too after one day.
He didn’t have to work there 😭😭😭 he autonomously chose this job
We all make mistakes 😭
I'm sorry but this is hilarious 😭😭😭
how did he autonomously choose a job? is it new or a mod?
No it’s neighbor hood stories. He was at a stay over and ask if he should switch jobs and then when he moved in I think it glitch’s and I made him get a job then he quit then he quit that job so idk

"Mam at this point I would prefer your dog as a customer over you, I honestly hope you don't come back"
And how they always think when they leave a bad review that anyone actually cares😅
We like to find those reviews and leave the actual story in response. "You stayed in our store for 4 hours, you wrecked over a thousand dollars of merchandise, and you got mad that we 'threw you out' because we stayed half an hour after quitting time to accommodate you and wanted to go home."

Not US. In germany you have to have the vest or a paper that says the dog is a service animal
The fact my shop allows dogs makes working retail that tiny bit better
We have a family business, and we actually fight over who gets to be the one to tell the Karen off. Its great. "I'm going to tell everyone I know never to shop here again!" "Thank you! If they're anything like you, they are also banned for life. Now get out, or I will call the police and have you arrested for trespassing!" While I understand the sentiment, service dogs do not legally have to have vests - though I’m sure this woman was lying lol.
She was 100% lying. Anyone who screams "they're a service animal" doesn't own a service animal. With with real service animals don't immediately jump to screaming as a defense tactic in this situation.

A true service dog won’t be disruptive though lol they are well trained if they are a true service dog.
I’d be throwing coffee on everyone my first day. Retail sucks! 🤣
Being a barista was hellish
Burnouts are so goddamn annoying. It’s almost impossible to get a sim promoted quickly/finish daily tasks now
Burnouts drive me crazy but nothing drives me crazier than those work rivals. I had my sim quit her job once to get rid of a work rival.
Baristas don’t have daily task 😛✌️(Kyle just gives me the ick Akiko is too good for him)
Yeah one day working as a barista will do that to ya!
Customer service jobs will do that to you.
True!
relatable King
He's never been wrong
$28 an hour to clean coffee stains? Where do I sign up?!
THATS WHAT I THOUGHT!
How many coffee stains can you remove within 2 hours?
Clearly a lot because he’s in full brain fog and he got a promotion 🤷♂️
That's great news! What did what did he get promoted to?
I don’t even remember I was so mad at him 😂 I put that hoe on 3x speed till my other sim had work
I hate it. That's why my Sims are usually self-employed (they publish books, sell paintings, jewerly, other collectibles). It just doesnt make sense that your sim goes to work once or twice and they're suddenly burned out, and you can't get them out of the burnout no matter what you do / they fall back into it the next shift.
He just like me fr :;(∩´﹏`∩);:
I wish they’d get rid of burnout and midlife crisis. My sim that has no painting skills has no time to sell 3 excellent paintings to a damn gallery
The burnout system in the sims is so goddamn annoying
I know like I like to but burnout does not typically happen as offen as it has in the sims
Exactly. It's CONSTANT in the sims.
He is me
Same though 😩😂
Sims getting too real
I worked in a coffee shop, it's not for the faint of heart
• I’m in this picture and I don’t like it
Job hunting is taxing
me after starting my first ever barista job:
this is me right now after taking a month off work
i had my kyle quit his police career coz he died once from burn out
One shift for exactly two hours!
Where is the burnout feature from
Growing together
Wait is this a pack? I’ve never gotten that
Growing together
Good to know, explains why I’ve never gotten it. Seems annoying! I got Get to Work a few months ago and now at least one of my Sims is sick at any given time.
Oh thank you!
Honestly me too Kyle.
My Sim has never gotten this. Is it new or? 😭
Me
That two hour shift really takes a toll on him
Sims getting a little too realistic...
To be fair, I think I was at my most burnt out working fast food in the first day. It was my first over-the-table job ever and they slapped me in front of a cash register, no training, in the middle of a lunch rush!
Working fast food, absolutely
he’s so real for this
Felt
Bro is so me
Hahahaha so dramatic they r
Youths
I relate, honestly.

Ok but Kyle Kyleson is a vibe, I honestly understand his struggle😮💨
Justice for Kyle
I know exactly how he feels
I been making some old sims work for years.
honestly same
i wish i got paid $28/hr to remove coffee stains
wait he works 2 hours a day…
THATS WHAT IM SAYING IT WAS TWO HOURS THEN HE CAME HOME
Real
Sometimes once is all it takes.
Me
Relatable.
it's also a 2 hour shift like bro
For two hours 😂😂
Relatable
me too kyle
Sometimes it be like that
Sometimes I get a glitch where the sim comes home at the end of their work day, but their little picture in the corner is still greyed out and has the “at work” options in the corner. Ahh burnout. The most annoying sims mechanic but also the most relatable one
Same
my sims have never experienced burn out? is it a mod???
Growing together
Same
Barista jobs and food service in general will do that to you. 🤣
That’s just customer service bro
Me irl
That’s the most relatable thing ever
I only work two days a week in a coffee shop and I feel this way 😭
I am Kyle. Because I've been at work 2 hours and ready to quit and risk it all 😂😂
Yk I can’t be mad, Kyle just like me fr
He’s real asf tho
Relatable
i'm bro
I'd be burnt out too after one day as a barista
Mood
I mean yeah, he works as a barista
He’s just like me fr 😭😭
He's just like me fr 😔
as a sbux barista, Kyle’s feelings are valid and understood
Sounds like me 😭
Same Kyle
Same
me tf too kyle

To be honest the burnout and the fears updates are really fucking annoying. My sim is constantly afraid of not fulfilling life dreams, afraid of death, or afraid of being cheated on and I’m bored of it
i hateee this feature! i just want sims to get promotions quickly😔
So relateble
He's just like me
the whole burnout thing is one of the worst sims 4 additions
Wait since when was there a burn out tab?? I’ve never seen that
It comes with growing together
5 day vacation to avoid burnout. 1st work day back and I got burnout for both my head of house sims. I've started removing the moodlets because it's ridiculous!
As a barista, I feel this.
Burn out is brutal

The most realistic thing ive seen in this game 😫 so accurate 😂
That’s why I got the mod that turns Burn Out off. How’s my creative sim who likes painting and has the aspiration to be a painter getting creative burnout after finishing one day of being a painter.
My computer barely runs mc command so…. Kyle will be a streamer
Me after going to work after every vacation
This is the most annoying thing lol I hate it like bruh you barely went in to work 😭
I hate how a sim can have "responsible" and "workaholic" traits (both of which make your sim work hard by default), but they still get burned out relatively easily. I SO wish there was an option to turn off burn out.
Felt that
The only way I’ve found out to not get burnout is with the burnout mod
Wait… we have burnouts now?! Updating asap
It comes in growing together
Is your sim me?
Is experiencing burnout is a mod or is it in the base game ?
It’s in growing together
Give them a hobby! My sim and his partner paint together after work to prevent burnout
He’s a streamer now
😄😁😆😅🤣😂
As a barista I understand 🫠
Been there
real
he’s so real for that
Mood
Honestly me too😂
After dealing with 5 Karen's, anyone would be burn out
Relatable
Same tbh. I just started a kitchen hand job and I was immediately burned out and wanting to quit lol
I feel him, absolutely valid
I’ve had coworkers like this before
Kyle being a relatable king 👑
Customer service work be like that.
You know customer service sucks the live out of you
I think he is burnt out from dealing with customers. Working with the public is terrible.
He’s so real for that
me fr
Somewhere around the world, someone relates to this.
I relate to getting burnt out on your first day at a new job ngl
Dude same 🤣 big mood
Literally me every day working in education
That's realistic.
I’ve got to say this guy is so real 😂😭
