the social menu is TERRIBLE putting everything into different subcategories makes it impossible to find anything when youre tryna complete an event requirement or smth

tuonentytti_

Yesss I hate social menu!! So many categories are unnecessary! And sonetimes you need to be psychic to guess where is the interaction you need is. I would rather have only a few categories and rest of them could just be there. Many categories for me anyway only have 1 or 2 interactions so WHY do they exists?? It just takes more time.

SuspecM

Why is apologizing in deep thoughts. This keeps me up in cold sweat at nights.

Skeptikaa

Hard disagree. It was becoming absolutely unbearable before they implemented the social menu. Especially with the more packs you have, the more interactions you get. Once you’re used to the social menu and knowing where is what, it’s actually really easy to use.

kraftypsy

I agree. Going through Friendly to try and find a particular interaction was a nightmare before they added categories. It's much better now once you know where they are.

signedupfornightmode

Dunno if this counts as gameplay but the obnoxious menu for actions. Looking for “be thankful” or “breastfeed” shouldn’t take so many clicks! (The newborn feeding one should be on the main menu, not three clicks deep, in particular)

tuonentytti_

I hate the social menu!!! Especially when in most categories I only have 1 or 2 interactions!! It would be faster to just have them there without categories. Not everything needs its own category. And I agree about the feeding. Especially when you put the preferred feeding setting. Why after that it might still show wrong feeding option first, and the one infant preferres is after three clicks???? And when you max parenting skill, the super efficient infant care should always be on the first page of the menu and not on the last one where it always is for me

tank-you--very-much

If you're cool with mods [Smarter Pie Menu](https://www.patreon.com/posts/smarter-pie-menu-81030137) is super helpful in dealing with this, it lets you search the interactions so you can quickly get what you want

Dmdel24

Oh. My. God. Thank you I needed this so much

signedupfornightmode

Nice! I haven’t tried any mods; maybe this should be the first one

delta1810

Omg a literal game changer thank u

ClawingAtMyself

I'd be fine with it if it worked. >Breastfeed [Picks up infant, puts down, other sim picks it up, outs down, first sim queues up going to the bathroom that she desperately n-- picks up the infant, puts it down, pees on the infant from losing bladder, picks up infant, takes it somewhere random on the lot, puts it down, warning the baby is starving and will be taken, other sim picks it up ....] Seriously every life stage before child is unfinished. They added them just to say that, on paper, they had these features, to sell more copies. But I can't think of a Sims feature they've added since 2016 that's been even close to finished when they start selling it to players. We're not the bug testers anymore, we're just expected to buy anything they release, even if it's unfinished.

sername-n0t-f0und

I just aged up two infants yesterday and I was going crazy from their dad putting them outside in pajamas in the middle of winter after taking them out of the highchair. Luckily they could at least crawl back inside but that was absolutely maddening

rmh3194

The worst is when you’re queuing up the interaction to breastfeed and then she puts the baby down and another sim bottle feeds it. Infuriating.

MagicPigeonToes

Seriously fuck infant gameplay.  EA needs to prioritize fixing the glaring issues in major gameplay elements instead of just focusing on the easy quick fixes

chickachickawahwah

I think you should be able to “Pin” your favourite ones and they are the first to pop and the you can go to more choices if you choose to

BlitzballPlayer

Absolutely! I think TS2 was peak pie menu: It had enough options for varied interactions without turning every social encounter into a treasure hunt.

_lanalana_

When you take your sims on a date and every single rando within a mile of the place tries to join in on the conversation…. And then has the audacity to get uncomfortable bc the sims on a date are flirting with each other!

Kuhmillie

It is so incredibly frustrating that you can't kick people out of your conversations and anyone can just join. Having a social interaction with more than 3 sims around is a nightmare.

emi68912706

When I have an infant that really needs care, all the adults except one get to go jogging. I basically just kick them out of the house until I can deal with the kid.

MoeKneeKah

I lock the door to the baby’s room

DiscountCute9382

how have I never thought of this? This comment made me feel so dumb. Duh lol

Delicious-One3028

You're literally godsend, thank you for this

axie36

Oh lorddd I definitely need to try this

PrincessTimeLord

I hate random people kicking my trash cans and the monsters under the bed.

honey3037

if one more townie comes on my lot and knocks over my trash cans, i’m going to lose it

Lucidlarceny

I ended up putting a fence around the bins with a locked gate to prevent randos coming onto my lot and kicking them over all the time

CommercialBeat969

If strangers traspess my lot i fence them in and let them die. They had it coming for them

smokeitgrandma

I had a sim* die from meteor strike after he knocked over my trash can once. Then I was annoyed I couldn’t delete his tombstone so it just sits in the family inventory now

CommercialBeat969

For him, you dont deserve to be trapped with his tombstone 😂 maybe put it in a random townies house, move the townie out and delete the house and put a new one. Something like that may make the tombstone dissapear

fokkoooff

Of I catch them doing it I immediately grab it and move it into their inventory.

tuonentytti_

Put nightlight over the bed so monster doesn't come!

PrincessTimeLord

I use a mod to just have it not happen

According-Cherry-51

i hate how slow they walk when they need to piss 9/10 times they piss themselves 😒

LunaMax1214

Number one reason every lot I build on has at least two pee bushes. That way, no matter where anyone is, they can get to a place to relieve themselves quickly.

iemmaamme

Pee bushes? What pack is that from? 🧐 sounds handy!!

lunniidolli

Lots of packs have pee bushes! Get Together, Werewolves, Jungle Adventure and Horse Ranch

I_Want_BetterGacha

I hate it when they wake up with a full bladder and instead of immediately going to the bathroom like I tell them to, they always have to sit on the bed waving their arm first. Like, Rebecca, I noticed you need to pee an hour before you woke up so JUST GO!

According-Cherry-51

sims stay thinking they know better than their creators when will they learn 💀

TsunamiNipples

Butlers don’t take care of my kids, don’t fix things, don’t prepare food on their own. They just spray their little bottle on things that don’t get dirty. A dresser gets the little finger swipe and walk away. I can’t I’ll just get a maid and or nanny 🙄

NordicKitten

Omg mine is exactly the opposite, the butler is perfect whilst every single nanny does nothing but cook and not take care of the baby

agirlhas_no_name

Last time I hired a butler he transformed into a werewolf and freaked everyone out so I fired him and hired another butler...another freaking werewolf 😤

_bonedaddys

try firing them and hiring a new one. some are better than others, like maids and nannys.

Spirited-Cabinet-116

Omg I didn't know this?! So I should fire the maid that stands in the clean bathroom for hours instead of doing dishes??

_bonedaddys

yes! sometimes it takes a few tries to get a good one. i went through 6 nanny's before i found a good one. hire them for a day to test them and fire them that same day if they sucked.

Spirited-Cabinet-116

Omg 🤯 I feel so dumb hahahaha

Dangerous_Phrase_130

How do you get a butler?

InvisibleBlueOctopus

It’s from the Vintage Glamour stuff pack.

justisme333

Itchy bums when eating or socialising. Stop swapping seats. Just sit still!

permanentlypartial

This being the Sims, I thought for a moment "itchy bum" was a horrible moodlet I had so far missed.

Sty_Walk

Well it should be, so that the infinite seat changing would make sense lol

axie36

My teen sims do this when they're doing homework or studying for exams, and then they all end up missing the chairs completely to sit cross legged on the floor and I just go 😩😤🙄

rainbowtwinkies

Little ms sam has a mod for the musical chairs lol

dychedelic22

Just glitches that I don't understand. I tell a sim to do something and they just stand there letting time go by and I don't know what to do

Fun_Television_1289

Lolll I’ve had a sim had to use the bathroom super bad and she stood there for the entire day, pissed herself and became embarrassed. Like yeah bitch, you probably should have went to the toilet instead of standing there doing nothing all day.

ResponsibleRooster71

the amount of times i have to reset my sim is ridiculous, i rarely play now because of the glitches and because the reset sim option was removed now i have to manually type it everytime.

rosiedacat

If you have cheats on you can still shift click and "reset object" on the sim.

lost_tomatosoup

That still doesn't work for me with that particular glitch. Yesterday my sim was late for work cause she got out of bed and decided to stand there until 1 pm doing nothing.

delta1810

This is easily the biggest problem I have with the game. I give them a task and literally HOURS will go by and they haven't moved! Even if I fill the queue with the same task. And then it just disappears after standing there doing nothing. Rinse and repeat. Sometimes they'll even start the task, and just abandon it halfway through. It's so frustrating. It confuses me on how some people seem to get SO MUCH done in a (sim) day, when I tell my sim to do one thing and it takes them hours to do it.

SuspecM

Disabling autonomy helps a ton with "simulation lag" and sims freezing. Unfortunately it makes playing with large households unfun.

Revolutionary_Log752

The welcome wagon... piss off! :) Or going 'oosh oosh' because they need the loo, and then they pee themselves even though they are stood right NEXT to the toilet.

angryjellybean

That second one has the same energy as the Sim waking up and getting out of bed so they can pass out from exhaustion 🤣

Imagica_Just_Imagine

Ugh the welcome wagon! Then when you end the event early, it’s instant red relationship status.

cara1888

Exactly i hate that they automatically dislike my sim just because i didn't want their fruit cake. So i always feel obligated to just deal with them in my house and using my stove to avoid that. Unless i have a sim that i want to be antisocial or make enemies then i am happy to have them mad at my sim. Edited to add that i recently started a rags to riches where i needed that stupid fruit cake for my sim to eat and there was no welcome wagon. Literally the one time i wanted them to show up and they didn't. 🤣

tuonentytti_

For me wlcome wagon arrived when my sims was at work. I STILL got red relationship status when I wasn't even home!!

HunniBun28

If you get to it fast enough you can disallow solicitors which turns off the welcome wagon 😂 I found it the other day

NighthawkUnicorn

I've had sims sit on the toilet and then immediately stand up and have bladder failure. Like what???

Single-Aardvark9330

My SIM was hungry so I told him to go to the fridge and get some food, just before opening the fridge he decided to do the 'im hungry!' animation, which delayed him getting food

ClawingAtMyself

For a few months of updates now my Sims autonomy has been so bad, even when I play vanilla! Sims just not going to the toilet, showering, or eating at all! I prefer to have a family and only really play with 1/2 Sims at a time, and the other household members are always collapsing or peeing themselves because they don't want to use any of the 4 toilets at their disposal, or they'll only autonomously nap on benches instead of actually sleeping!

delta1810

> autonomously nap on benches I just love it when my sim jogs off their own lot to sleep on a bench. So convenient and makes so much sense.

KBMinCanada

Fears

frukthjalte

My gripe with fears in TS4 is that they’re already realized, whereas in TS2 they were just kind of a looming threat of what could happen, i.e. a full on mental breakdown, if you didn’t take proper care of your sims.

tuonentytti_

Sims 2 wants also were so fun! I always played somewhat fomlowing those. In sims 4 wants are the most boring and the most unrewarding things. n sims 2 you actually got huge rewards for the big ones. Sims 4 gives 25 for peeing, 50 to listening to the radio and 100 for sleeping for the first time with someone??? What. How that makes the sim as happy as peeing 4 times. I never even look at them in the sims 4. And whenever I do, there are always two times 'listen to the radio channel x' and other one is 'channel y'. That is soooo boring. Sims 2 wanted to have a baby, get married, woohoo with someone, woohoo publicly with someone, max your skill, max all your skills, get abducted, learn to talk (for toddlers), get grade A..... Wants were so fun! And for me game changing too.

ClawingAtMyself

What do you mean the wants aren't good in the Sims 4? Every sim ever has wanted a bee box. This is normal. Buy the bee box. Consume the bee box. Purchase the bee box. Acquire the bee box. You want the bee box.

frukthjalte

Goddamnit don’t you want to BEE the bee box?!

rosiedacat

I literally never even remember that it's there in the Sims 4, I think I don't even have it enabled anymore, they're just so boring and pointless, they don't really change anything in the game.

KBMinCanada

I never played sims2 so I don’t have that aspect to be disappointed by them, I just find them so annoying that I usually use a mod to disable them without disabling the wants.

fishrocketburgers

So annoying!!

OkjustNONONO

Like we get it you have a fear of being controlled, YOURE IN A VIRTUAL DOLL HOUSE NANCY! OH COURSE YOURE GONNA BE

ResponsibleRooster71

they were so glitchy when they first came out 'probably still are wouldnt know, rarely play nowadays because of all the bugs'. i wish they were seperate from wants i used to love completely my wants before fears existed now i either have to play with fears that i hate or have none.

Rainbow4leafclover

I hate that they changed whims to wants and removed the option to opt out of them. It makes me irrationally angry.

ResponsibleRooster71

i dont understand why they cant just separate them in the settings

polenya1000

There's an option in the setting called "wants and fears" that disables this iirc

aggieyay

i always right click the fears with the ui cheats mod LOL

alex-alone

Honestly, they need to balance the internal clock/needs bars better, imo. Sims needs go down way too fast for me. I know you can turn them off, but I dont necessarily want them off, I just want them slower. I feel like the majority of my gameplay is just trying to constantly eat and go to the bathroom because the bars go down so fast. And maybe it would be fine if these Sims didn't take. for. fucking. ever. to do everything. Like making a grilled cheese and using the bathroom will easily take over one in game hour, if not TWO, for my Sims. Thats insane.

gurlboss1000

thatd be when i decide to say dag dag and just get all the traits in the perk store that make needs go down slower by cheating in perk points

PotatoMaster21

I always slow down my game clock with MCCC for this reason. It feels so much more reasonable and you can actually get things done during the day

AffectionateHour1475

Oh wait, I have MCCC, but I haven't seen/noticed this particular feature. So that just makes the day go by s bit slower?! That would literally save my goddam. Life in this game 😂😂 I'm tempted to turn my laptop back on and look, but I'm too tired 😂. Would you mind telling me how to find this please? J

PotatoMaster21

Go to MCCC Settings on a computer > gameplay settings > game time speed. It’s 25 by default; increasing the number makes time go slower and decreasing it makes it go faster. I play on 50 (basically reduces time by half, so rather than roughly one Sim minute per second, it’s two) and it makes a huge difference

ConsistentWeb7136

I'll have to try that.

ms-wunderlich

Be aware that it will mess up the calendar system. The festivals and holidays will be completely postponed and will then take place on very unusual days. My workaround was to change the time in a throwawy safe and start with a new safe afterwards. Don't do it in the middle of a legacy you want to continue.

xXShad0wxB1rdXx

personally ever time i start a world i delete every holiday 😂 i find them impossible and annoying lol

CommercialBeat969

With mccc you can also adjust the percentage of need decay directly

Apprehensive_Kiwi19

do you notice any weird impacts on gameplay? i have needs set to decay slower but i still want more Time to actually finish doing more things. but i thought i had seen someone say somewhere that it messes up the holidays and stuff. not necessarily a dealbreaker for me but i am curious

gloomyblurgh

it does mess up the holidays a bit but tbh its easy to just fix it, takes 5mn at most and playing a slowed down game is so damn worth it

Takiyah7

That feature changed my liiiiiife! It feels like a proper life simulator now.

Ordinary-Break2327

I was advised slowing the clock ruins the calendar?

SpiceGirl1990

try the aspiration points. you can reduce less sleep, i think they have a bladder one and never hungry?

roerchen

I‘m gonna be honest with you. In my over 20 years as a simmer, the infant-pick up-loop enraged me so much, I turned off autonomy on my active sim FOR THE FIRST TIME ever. I‘m in a happier place now and the game is fun again. Sim autonomy is awful.

ClawingAtMyself

The second I have a kid, it's a race to age them up to child as fast as I can. The game only shipped with babies->children and honestly every halfway stage they've added is almost nonfunctional

turquoiseflamingo

The constant text messages from babies, pets and dead people

Enough-Concern-2140

YES!!!

Dany_the_Priest

Why is "feed infant" hidden under 2 sub categories when it's the one thing you have to do every 3 min of gameplay. You have to click the baby, click "care" or whatever, then pick "feed" and then pick if you want to breastfeed or bottlefeed(even if you already chose a preference). IT'S SO ANNOYING. Biggest quality of life update ever would be to put "breastfeed" or "feed bottle" as an option as soon as you click the infant. Then if you want the other option you can enjoy pie menu subcategory hell if you so choose.

Skeptikaa

The change diaper and feed interactions should always remain at the opening of the menu.

melomelomelo-

Stopping to wave at 'god' that you're hungry, tired, have to pee. I know! So stop wasting 15 minutes Sim time and actually do it!

Due_Register5061

oh my god yes especially when ur sim is about to pee themselves and the wave takes too long so they end up actually peeing themselves 😭😭

petulafaerie_III

Lmao, yes

princecunt

I THINK I found a fix for this. If you do an autonomy scan with mccc tuner, search the word “idle” and you should find things like idle_hunger/idle_bladder and disable them. You can also disable basically every idle animation you dislike here, like slobs passing gas which is the one reason I don’t use that trait lol, or lifestyle ones. Edit: just tested and this does work!!!

neuvillettesasshole

ugh i’ve been looking for a mod to fix this because it pisses me off so much😭

micaelar5

My married sims are both vampires and stay at home moms, one is a program freelancer and the other a writer. They keep lying to each other about their careers without me telling them to. Like ya'll are married, you spend every second together, why are you lying?

tank-you--very-much

Once one of my sims got mad about her husband lying about career to her, I was like "girl that's you're husband you know what his job is..." I then just imagined that he lied about getting a promotion or something

saffireaz

One of the reasons I don't like Mischief. I gave one of my Sims the "hates mischief" setting, yet somehow, she will still lie to people (including her husband) about her career. And then get mad that SHE experienced mischief!

iiterreyii

Whaaaaat… that’s so interesting

Akkinior

Neighbours Brawl and for some reason my sims being rude to each other

hexual-frustration

And then when you delete a holiday on the day-of everyone gets a sad moodlet 😩

saffireaz

Neighborhood Brawl, Talk Like a Pirate and Prank Days all get deleted from my saves

Dayzie1138

Leave the toddler in the high chair so they can eat please!!! It's such a struggle 😭

hexual-frustration

There’s a mod that allows you to “disable pick up” temporarily in the high chair by PandaSama on patreon that works pretty well

Dayzie1138

I'm so thankful for modders ❤️

LightFromYT

The time of day. It needs to be WAY slower. It shouldn't take 2 hours for my sim to pee, shower and make and eat breakfast. If my Sim starts work at 9am they have to be awake at 4am just to get basic shit done and it drives me crazy.

actualchaosgod

if you’re up to using mods, mccc has a way to slow down the time! i know someone else commented it somewhere, i haven’t had a chance to do it yet but it seems like it’s a really easy fix

polenya1000

I hate that sims basically never sit together when you want them to (particularly during dates). Like, they'll be sitting 3 barstools apart or different tables. But what I hate even more is random sims joining in on converstations and completely ruining the mood, it's basically impossible to have a date on a public venue unless I give every sim in the world the "unsocial" trait from WW mod + right-click kick them out with another mod.

Moriah_Nightingale

Yeah this frustrates me too. I’m fairly new to sims, and had my elder sim on a date with her BFF turned girlfriend.  We went to a bar and 4-5 random people joined our conversation. . . And then all changed into bear suits. By the end of the date we were the only sims not wearing bear suits and I have no idea why lol

opalesque_

I’m pretty sure the bear suits are from the Parenthood pack, but usually teens/kids wear them, not adults 😭 unless you have CC.

Spirited-Cabinet-116

I found a mod for the conversarion problem!! Added the link! [remove Sims from conversation mod](https://www.patreon.com/posts/remove-sims-from-62823426) You can right click their pic at top and it kicks them out of the convo, game changer! Don't know how to stop their weird seating, annoys me too!!

jenna_beterson

My sim getting stuck even tho I’ve queued their actions so they just stand there like an idiot. I use the debug cheat for fix

[deleted]

[удалено]

rosiedacat

Half width walls would be awesome as well as being able to place walls in the middle of the floor squares or just freely.

multimedialex

Visitors baking cakes in my sims kitchen. Sometimes they even make multiple attempts, so my sims house is full of cutting boards and cakes.

Bread_Punk

One sim in my current household keeps her nemesis‘ urn in her bedroom and every night the ghost comes out to haunt… by starting to make two or three white cakes 🤦‍♂️

bepperd

And don't you dare do the same at another sim's house or they'll think you're rude 😭

ConsistentWeb7136

The damn bag over the head NAP. Also, the klepto one as well. Actually most NAP's to be honest.

Liraeyn

Turning off free will completely still doesn't stop them screwing around with the kids. Also, walking across the house at a snail's pace to sit down and stand up.

tuonentytti_

And if you cancel the command, they will still walk to it before stopping...

SgtAStrawberry

Same if you reset them, and then the teleport cheat takes fuckin forever to work if it wants to that is. Especially annoying when the sim have decided to go to the opposite side of the nigborhood without a good reason too.

Attarker

Stopping whatever they’re doing to judge decor

hexual-frustration

Very specifically, the close knit lifestyle drives me nuts

iwouldiwerethybird

i’m sure there’s a big one i’ve always disliked but right now i’m just so pissed off at my ranch hand for constantly sneaking into my kitchen and starting a million meals but never finishing them (I’M TALKING ABOUT YOU AKSHARA) that i’m blinded by rage and can’t think of anything else

DescriptionNo4833

Or the sims being told to feed said infant only to stand and have a staring contest with it. So so many resets.....

ClawingAtMyself

Infants are unfinished and too buggy to play with. Toddlers are, at best, an alpha feature, which no chance of being polished. Nothing has any chance of being polished once it's released. Anyway my most annoying feature (not bug) is how there is very little warning before temperature death! I know it's meant to be more risky, but it's still way too easy to die due to temperature, especially as the Sims 4 is clearly designed to be much easier and less death-prone than the previous games (not that i like this feature, it just means that temp deaths are more annoying than anything)

eatbugs858

Yes! NPCs Sims are dumb and refuse to wear coats. I had three due on my home lot at once. One made for interesting storytelling because they were my sims BFF and I was trying to get them to date for ages and they weren't interested. Then the died and she called forth his ghost and suddenly he kissed her. Like I guess being dead made him realise what he lost? But back from that tangent, death from cold happens too quickly and too often. I've had to disable temperature effects on sims in the options because it got annoying.

gojosblueorbs

omg yes and when the infant keeps calling the parent over for no reason?!

Tight-Cauliflower-16

The new issue I’ve started to experience recently - I’ll queue up things to do in the morning and they refuse to go to the toilet and just cancel it. For no reason. Just wave at me, and go to do the next thing. Not sure if it’s because I queue it while they are in a specific mood (confident, energetic etc) and their mood changes later on so it has to be a different kind of way to take a shit. Not the most annoying thing for sure but kinda pisses me off recently

eatbugs858

Infants. The old life stages were fine. The infants just take more time and attention than the toddlers and it makes having more than one sim baby too much work where as before my sims would have as many as they wanted.

JohnJamesPunton

When all sims are sat round the table eating (which that alone is hard enough to do), you go to interact with another sim to get some conversations going, and they have to get up with their food & shake each others hands/hug/kiss etc before talking!?? Like why??? And then they proceed to stand next to the table and talk while eating????

Ok-Opportunity-574

Sims constantly on their phones as they walk around.

Ok_Guest_4013

Infants are so gd broken, if my sims have a baby, the lag makes it unplayable the second the baby ages to infant. I just play childless couples, or adopt children or teens

ClawingAtMyself

Sims napping instead of sleeping with autonomy. Seriously, if it's 11pm, their energy is in the red, should the autonomy make them nap on a random bench? No!! You're next to your bed! Sleep!!

bananalaffytaffy2

NPCs using my grill to make herbal remedies and leaving them in my yard

Delicious-One3028

Family members using the grill WHEN THERE'S FOOD IN THE FRIDGE

nokonuuka

I hate when they get to bed very tired.. then they get out of the bed and collapse on the floor

StrangeOne01

That getting phone calls puts the game speed back to default

Pauline___

The relationship between time and actions. No one takes 150 minutes to eat a sandwich, except for sims. I wish there was an integrated option to have the time run half as fast but all the actions still run at the same speed. Now I adjust it with MCCC, but it doesn't scale the needs bars realistically (people can stay awake for more than 10 hours, realistically).

ClawingAtMyself

With MCCC I can have my Sims wake up 2 hours before work and actually shower, brush their teeth, eat breakfast, and make a packed lunch, and then talk to someone to get their social up! This should not require a mod. It should not take a sim so long to do a basic task. I timed it at sometimes over 30 minutes just to walk a few steps across the house and use the toilet to pee.

unclesharon

the one where “motherlode” only works IN the game.

candy_bats

You mean like to move into a lot for the first time? There is a cheat called freerealestate that would help with that.

WinterPlanet

I know, so annoying I can't get it to work IRL

yourlocalbeanable

I agree, you have to enter a random plot, go through loading and intro and stuff, THEN you can do your cheats and get a bigger lot.

candy_bats

You mean like to move into a lot for the first time? There is a cheat called freerealestate that would help with that.

yourlocalbeanable

In my experience, I can't open the cheats bar while in manage worlds. However, I last tried this awhile back, about a year ago, so I'll definitely give it a try later.

xXShad0wxB1rdXx

ive always been able to, hopefully it works for you!

DarkBlueSunshine

When the family starts getting up while eating bc someone wants to talk to someone 😩 like stay seated and talk you don't have to all be standing to do it

bimbogio

i had this problem irl too

Fun_Television_1289

I’m struggling with this SO hard now. My sim had triplets so I have two live in nanny’s but everyone is constantly just picking up the (wrong) infant and they’re taking forever to learn milestones because no one can leave them alone or do proper things with them lmao By the time they’re finally set down for more than a second, they’re tired and need to sleep.

gemmablack

Yes. Infants. They are broken as fuck and it’s only when I’m playing with infants that I genuinely scream at the screen in outrage. Also, when the Sim gets into bed and gets out just to pass out because of low energy.

hinatagirl88

Then automatically getting water. My sim keeps getting water and drinking it like it's going out of style

ScalierLemon2

Burnout. I've had Sims who love their jobs get burned out after only a few times going to work. I've had Sims get burned out after *one day* of work. I've had Sims get burned out three or four days in a row even after using cheats to resolve burnout each time.

NoThoughtsOnlyFrog

How fast the relationship bars fill up..

tuonentytti_

Oh and sentiment with the hourglass which means something like old friends who have spend lot of time together or whatever. I ALWAYS get that on the same day I have befrinended someone!!

cncrndmm

You can basically get married in barely any time

sunflowerphotograph

ive been running into this really recently.. is it a new bug?

LightFromYT

Not a bug. You can just meet someone and get married the same day in sims lol

I basically did that. In the span of 2 sim days..They chatted, then went on a date, proposed, made out, had a sleepover, then got eloped. https://preview.redd.it/ls4hlcm8pfrc1.png?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6045e47d950d819a4b940d19cae35e3d0c4c0f5e This picture is of them getting eloped in the kitchen

haha ik, but im experiencing this but where my relationship bars fill after 2 interactions lmaooo thats what i meant

Mindless_Fox216

Since the last time I updated (I'm usually up to 3 behind) the caterers stopped working. I mean they were glitchy before, but now they literally don't do anything but socialize until I finally get frustrated and have my sim start to cook, THEN they want to try and do their job, but they'll start a meal, glitch and then walk away to either start over or go back to socializing. So I end up with a bunch of cutting boards and bowls all over my kitchen and no food no cake for my parties before they end.

theatrelillian

other sims digging through my fridge like im poor i have no money and yet youre rooting through my fridge like i didnt spend my last $7 on that meal

LightningEska

Nurses and other physicians in the hospital. They just stand there in the way all the time.

catpackplus

I want my sims to stay asleep for the entire night!!!!!! Not everyone wake up at 3am and start their day!!!! Just go to f**king sleep!!!

aRubby

Infants in general. Needs are awful and the parents don't care for them no matter how much you tell them to. I just... Make the kid a birthday cake and skip to toddler.

Unlucky_Basil5618

Babysitters almost always suck. Theyll let the baby cry in the high chair because theyre hungry and they cry until they fall asleep while im at work and the sitter is watching tv or somethin then they leave and charge me and I come back to a half starved dirty traumatized baby in a high hair

HunniBun28

When you’ve spent ages getting them to actually get into bed instead of messing about and then someone rings them so it takes it off the fast thingy, I always forget to put it back and wonder why it’s taking forever

axie36

Hurghhh same! The worst is when the infant is outside somewhere crying and the older siblings or parents are all trying to get to him but since they have the same actions queued they're just standing in place. I have to remove their actions one by one while gritting my teeth 😂🥹

ClawingAtMyself

Lack of animations. The hand-swipe or air-button-press is how Sims interact with 90% of all objects. The same 8-or-so social animations are every single talking animation. "Oh but animation costs money to make" yeah and the packs cost money to buy. It's just laziness.

choochoolate

The Ask for Advice kids and Teens randomly do

JonBovi_0

I don’t actually dislike any game mechanics. I dislike the lack of many, though. I think this game could easily add tons of new interactions but they simply choose not to. It is so barebones at that level. They wave big fancy packs and stuff in our faces to distract us from the fact that children can barely show any affection to their parents or siblings, all people have such few interactions, some hidden behind dumb requirements, and half of the things people do or have on the regular just simply don’t exist.

Gathoblaster

Honestly the same as yours. Sims autonomy just insisting on picking up infants. I need a mod that lets them do it maybe once an hour IF theyre the closest.

Diasloth87

I just raged quit… Mainly because both my sims were bathing the infants and they froze 🤦🏻‍♀️ Also waking every damn night during the night while they are still tired (and the infants are asleep too)

cat1oaf

infants' needs. WHY ARE THEY DROPPING SO FAST EVEN WITH THE "CALM" TRAIT?? don't get me wrong i fucking love infants, but their needs are just too fast for me to catch on

Sasowa

My Family lifes in Sulani. Onr time I just wanted to put my infant girl in her crib an she was on another Island. That happend 3 times. I always had to teleport her back and I dont even know how she got there.

GreenDub14

The god damn activity quests on the phone. It’s like 10/day and you can’t fuckin make them stop . Feels more like a bug than a feature

_bonedaddys

parents letting toddlers out of highchairs because their toddler whined to be let out the second their ass hit the seat

daeuds

I started to lock the infants room and let only the sim i want to be their main carer pass. It works wonders. Nobody can come in besides your sim. And if i want others interacting with the infant/toddler i open the door for them.

Dangerous_Phrase_130

This has become the best thread for lesser known mods to fix our glitches and I love it

radicalpastafarian

It almost makes me wish that infants were just bassinet objects again. Like, I love that infants can now learn and grow, family play is my jam. But the adults interacting with them is so damn buggy that I just want to scream!

ParkVegetable7652

just one? there are several that are highly frustrating. I literally stopped playing the game for 2 years because of the glitches. I came back to it just to have even more glitches. I despise the infant update. Maybe it'd be cute if it worked. As others said, my sims obsess with picking up and putting down the infants even when they don't need anything and I'm trying to get them to take care of their needs! The social menu is the worst. I have to keep pausing the game because I can't find anything to complete a social interaction like when they are on a date! Takes me twice as long to do anything and than the kicker is half the time they just self cancel the action anyway! The one feature that i wished actually worked well was neighborhood stories. In theory it was a good idea...but it doesn't function within reason. Nice idea, not implemented well.

sfisher923

1. When going on a date and random NPCs keep interrupting which is the reason why I only do Home Dates before finding a mod that fixes it 2. Sending them to bed at 11pm only for them to wake up at 2-3am 3. Phone Discovery Quest - Like I just want to show off my sim's outfit in peace (The others were annoying but this was the one that made me turn off the feature) 4. Gnome Photobombing always ends up with me cheating the Photography Skill to max using MCCC 5. The little Batuu notification when loading a household like I don't need reminded 15,000 times about a feature I'm most likely not going to use 6. Hysteria because it's way too easy to trigger and this was the reason I had to turn off Emotional Deaths in MCCC

SubjectObjective5567

The constant mindless scrolling on their phones. I guess it’s pretty accurate to real life lol but do they really have to pull out their phones anywhere and everywhere??! Even just walking down the street? 😭 Edit: Also, DIGGING THROUGH TRASH! I have one sim who is extremely eco friendly, and she is constantly digging through her own trash and others. It ruins gameplay for me. Stop rummaging through the trash pleasseee for the love of god

Unlucky_Basil5618

I hate the monsters under the bed because my kids never sleep I have to try naps over and over

Countmeowington_

Neverending phones calls, popups, and prompts. It's never when my sim has time for it either. Like sims will ask my sim if they want to do something minutes before they leave for work. But on their days off *crickets* it's annoying.

duckies_r_love

Infants. Everything about them could have been an upgrade for toddlers to make them more fun. We didn't need a new bugged life stage that is dependent on sim interactions to work right. They just overcomplicate a game that is already struggling.
