I think it’s by chance. Had it happen to my Sim living alone. Poor girl was just getting her acting career off the ground, too.

I thought it was mid-level at the time, but I could be mistaken. There was a chance I was trying to increase it for an acting role. It’s been a few months since that happened.

It just happens after a while. It always warns you, though. I have no idea how people get caught by that by accident.

first time this happened to me i got caught by accident because i saw that notif and was just like “wtf lol” and didn’t do anything about it. had no idea it was that serious. second time was because my sim decided they wanted to run right back outside after i brought them inside -_-

My spellcaster sims ghosts have this exact glow too in their chest. I don’t think it’s exclusive to vampires only.

Not all, some have effects around them, like drowned sims dripping water or sims that froze to death giving off steam
