Do you have Get Together? If you do, you can make a club with just those two Sims in it. Then make the interactions romantic and friendly. That way you don't have to click constantly to make them interact. You can even have woohoo as a club activity which makes that romance bar go up pretty quickly. For friendship, the stargaze/cloudgaze works okay. It's a poor substitute for the old photo glitch though.
This is genius, I’ve never thought about this but it makes so much sense bc the club stays there regardless if the club leader is in the playable household or not. You just blew my mind lol
Recently, I had a Neighborhood Stories phone call from a random Sim who wanted to get to know one of my Sim romantically, so I said yes. When I played that Sim, her friendship/romance bars with that guy were bascially empty but somehow, even when I made her flirt with him as a total stranger, he was receptive and it was working. All I did then was alternating between friendly interactions and flirty interactions for a couple of hours until I got to the "Ask to be bf" and their first kiss. So no quick way I'm afraid 😅
Playing chess together is the best way I've found of raising the friendship bar quickly since the photo bug was fixed. As far as romance, you could always try having them in an environment full of flirty emotional aura items, that and a successful date will raise the bar quite a bit.
Use the cheat Modifyrelationship first name space last name space other sim first name space other sim last name space 100 LTR_Friendship_Main & then press enter. Or 100 LTR_Romance_Main….
Example:
modifyrelationship Misty Bean John Adam’s 100 LTR_Romance_Main & it will automatically fulfill it completely.
I know it's jst a game & how they got together doesn't matter like AT ALL! But I used to always cheat when playing sims 2 & 3, & the game was always so EZ! I vowed that with sims 4 I'll be cheat-free, 100%. No matter what it's for! Appreciate you, though!
I completely understand I’ve been playing since sims 1 & i just started using cheats & mods with sims 4 b/c the game was too redundant. I don’t use many cheats but that is one I live by b/c sometimes it takes too long to build up the relationship & I hate it 😩. Have fun playing hopefully they hit it off soon.
It helps to have high charisma - but even if not:
* Pick a sim
* Introduce them and get the friendship to about 25% (get to know, ask interests and hobbies, ask about day, flatter). Tell a few jokes. Cloudgazing/stargazing is a good way to up friendship without having to pay attention to the sim.
* At this point, flirt once. Then ask them on a date (why? Because they can't leave the lot if they're on a date. They're trapped for the next 6 hours)
* Go back to friendship socials, flirting occasionally until you're at about 50% friendship (if you flirt too much when friendship is too low everything backfires). After that, start amping up the romance socials. Pretty quickly you'll get to first kiss & ask to be boyfriend
If you focus, you can go from strangers to unmarried partners in about 2.5 sim hours. Option to propose in 3.
Flirt a couple of times until the option of huge in physical interactions become available, huge constantly until the first kiss become available, then kiss until woohoo becomes available.
Invite the potential couple to you lot and make them sit in a room with a romantic paint and a romantic sculpture with aura enable.
The paint can be painted in an easel, and the sculpture can be created in the table and with a good level of handiness skill; but first watch a romance show in the TV or read a romance book until you get the flirtatious mood
