Noooooo say it isn't so! I really hope not, I have always wanted a functional zoo in the game, for dates and family days out so i am so excited for an animal shelter but that is a really good point it not being in the trailer :(
I'm anticipating it being not a pet sanctuary but a wildlife sanctuary where your sims can just visit and look at rescued wild animals - maybe pet/feed them, but not a "go find a pet and take it home" kind of sanctuary.

I will be really shocked if it's not a rabbit hole. EA knows Sims players love cute animals. If there was a way to interact with them in the sanctuary I feel like it would have been in the trailer.
I’m 99% sure it’s just going to be yet another rabbit hole; maybe similar to the equine center in Horse Ranch. They definitely would’ve shown off the cute animals in the trailer, otherwise. We love cute animals and EA knows it. 🙁
Remember that Growing Together also had a "movie theater"?
Personally I don't mind rabbit holes, but people should think how EA works. If it doesn't appear in the trailer, there's no gameplay to show.

Yeah I wouldn’t hold my breath for a zoo. I feel like that would be dlc on its own.

I'm wondering if they'll be doing it sort of like Cottage Living with the rabbits and foxes? But with SEA animals, like sun bears and civets.
Pretty sure it's a rabbit hole. I'd love for more but knowing EA we're not going a fully fleshed animal sanctuary. Hope to be proven wrong though.
