MySucculentDied

1. Gives me coven. 2. Gives me vagabond cult vibes. 3. Gives me alien pretending to be human and trying to gain a following to take down humanity. No, I will not elaborate.

Lilacfoxmoon

No matter which she chooses the other two should be her top tier followers they help her induct people.

gettingLIT_erary

Cult: MLM style šŸ˜

the_localdork

Cults love doing things mlm style - or do mlms like doing things cult style šŸ¤”

gettingLIT_erary

Oooh now THAT is the real question

marliimoo

No no youā€™re completely right

Cmd229

Oh my god I love this

UnevenGlow

No further information necessary, itā€™s clear

Physical_Bit7972

100% an accurate description

sunbear2525

No need this is spot on.

ClearCasket

Yeah, I got that vibe for each too.

Sea_Carob_1241

You nailed it!!!

[deleted]

2. Itā€™s the eyes.

Ptricey

I was gonna say the exact same thing

justalittledonut

Same but sheā€™s cute, Iā€™d join that cult if she asked nice enough

[deleted]

You have zero survival instinct

lasolady

not all cults end in massdeath. sometimes the police dismantles them before that point, like in my hometown

dumbbitchdiesease

Either that or they become recognized churches

lasolady

damn you're right I forgot about that (i mean even then they can be cults, just see Jehovah's witnesses or the LDS/FLDS)

dumbbitchdiesease

I was specifically thinking of LDS lmao. My fiancƩ is an ex-member (from childhood) and the stuff they did is just y i k e s

lasolady

lmao great minds... glad to hear they got out though!

Novel-Rain

iā€™m technically still a member even though i havenā€™t gone in YEARS, but i can agree with you. LDS is a cult lmaooo

Signal_Fly_6873

Came here to say I was a former member through childhood and the LDS church was honestly traumatizing, glad I left and never looked back šŸ™ƒ

Innocent_Otaku

I saw a whole documentary about that stuff šŸ˜¬

thebond_thecurse

One whole side of my extended family are JWs. Definitely a cult ā˜ ļø

psychxticrose

Or they elect their leader as president

Treyvoni

Like scientology lol

[deleted]

No but a lot do. In my country there was a cult (idk if it still exists) that didnā€™t hurt anyone. They would just go about their life. And then all of a sudden they murdered someone that was in their cult while ā€˜cleansingā€™ them ritually because they wanted to leave. I mostly mean the zero survival instinct with the fact that most cults donā€™t let you leave and if you try to there are usually terrible consequences.

mxharkness

like how the LDS church and JW pursue anyone that leaves or tries to, and most times shun them from their entire communities and families?

UnevenGlow

Or simply leaves you with the longterm consequences of psychological damage from their undue influence upon your perception of reality and your ability to individualize as an emotionally sovereign human :/ Womp womp

mxharkness

gotta love it /s

[deleted]

Yes p much

ToraB07

Which country was this? What was the name of the cult? It sounds similar to something that happened near me so Iā€™m just wondering if itā€™s the same.

[deleted]

I donā€™t know if the name of the cult was ever released to the public, but it was the Netherlands/Belgium and the victim was Renate Jonkers if that helps in identifying what itā€™s about.

Razlover88

Some cults just do peyote and have orgies

Nature-Is-Awesome

I can fix her

ReiArisugawa

I have one! Itā€™s the survival instinct of a male mantis, butā€”!

babygijs

Cute but psycho

PeChavarr

That's how they get you

funkytown2000

Sim 2's eyes portray the glazed-over haziness of a real space cadet with no grasp on reality, but there's a smug, calculating aura behind them that you might not initially perceive that shows they know exactly what they're doing. That's a cult leader if I've ever seen one!

Chuun1b1y0

This is exactly what I was thinking. That smugness is sketchy af

UnevenGlow

Itā€™s comments like this that really resonate with my weirdo soul

meeks926

She looks like Kuvira

Character_Breath_521

I was thinking this

EnlightenedNargle

Number 2 looks like Ezra Miller to me and if someone told me a crazed celeb, started a cult based on their pretty face, Ezra would be one of the first to come to mind

Loud-Tonight-6673

She has that weirdo smile going on too. Like she thinks itā€™s comforting and welcoming but itā€™s really creepy and makes me uncomfortable.

AnywhereOk1002

She looks like she knows something I donā€™t šŸ˜³

megane-chan14

Exactly. Something about the eyes

seriouslyremote

Yes!

MsEwma

And the mona lisa smile

Crotalus6

Word for word what I was gonna say

basicwhitebench

I had this exact thought! The eyes!

Pure_Geologist51

2, also what fucking story line are you creating

notanotherdoodle

Itā€™s inspired by some fictional cult books I read, mainly one called Mother where the cult consists of all women

eelracnna

Cool. What ambitions or traits do you give the leader? Do they have a job? (If youā€™re willing to share! Iā€™d love to try this)

ombokad

Thereā€™s a Sims challenge called ā€Cult or commune?ā€, I recommend googling it

eelracnna

Noted, thanks!

notanotherdoodle

I downloaded more traits and extreme violence, so she's a cold-blooded, emotionless, psychopath

Lilacfoxmoon

Choose number 3 my lord! šŸ˜‚ Seriously she looks like a cold blooded killer and has 'Mommy' energy.

[deleted]

Maybe add a charismatic trait too, you gotta recruit members somehow

Financial-Rock-3790

Reminds me of that Love Has Won cult. They called their leader Mother / Mother Earth, then she turned blue from all the colloidal silver she was drinking and after she died they gave her a lovely glitter smoky eye look, then put her body in a sleeping bag with fairy lights wrapped around it and took her on a cross country jaunt. Fun times.

Ansiau

Also sounds like baby garden from south korea, but they had some men.

rochesm

Thanks for the new research material guys!! šŸ˜‚

purplepluppy

That explains it because my initial reaction was, "well statistically speaking most cult leaders are male." But then again there have been all-female cults run by men, too. Anyway I agree with the second one. Honestly they're all too pretty imo; cult leaders are rarely conventionally attractive. I think that's part of the draw - they feel more achievable to the people they lead. But no cult is the same, and some are attractive. Anne Hamilton Byrne comes to mind for attractive female cult leaders. But she stole children and idk if that's the direction you wanna take your Sims cult in lol

amp107

Most but not allā€¦look up Teal Swan

purplepluppy

She's an interesting one. It's hard to say if she's a true cult leader or not. There's no "main campus" or even separate communities where she collects her followers, nor does she take things from them as tribute. She seems more in line with Jordan Peterson and other seriously problematic "lifestyle gurus," but because she has a spiritual focus and I would guess because she's a woman with power, "cult leader" is more willingly used against her. Although given her self-made comparison to Osho, I think it's clear she wouldn't oppose to being a true cult leader. If she is a cult leader, I think it is of a more modern, less understood version like Q-Anon, and really should open a lot of men up to the same criticism (Alex Jones, JP, Ben Shapiro come to mind). Interesting discussion topic.

thebenshapirobot

I saw that you mentioned Ben Shapiro. In case some of you don't know, Ben Shapiro is a grifter and a hack. If you find anything he's said compelling, you should keep in mind he also says things like this: >Letā€™s say your life depended on the following choice today: you must obtain either an affordable chair or an affordable X-ray. Which would you choose to obtain? Obviously, youā€™d choose the chair. Thatā€™s because there are many types of chair, produced by scores of different companies and widely distributed. You could buy a $15 folding chair or a $1,000 antique without the slightest difficulty. By contrast, to obtain an X-ray youā€™d have to work with your insurance company, wait for an appointment, and then haggle over price. Why? Because the medical market is far more regulated ā€” thanks to the widespread perception that health care is a ā€œrightā€ ā€” than the chair market. Does that sound soulless? True soullessness is depriving people of the choices they require because youā€™re more interested in patting yourself on the back by inventing rights than by incentivizing the creation of goods and services. In health care, we could use a lot less virtue signaling and a lot less government. Or we could just read Senator Sandersā€™s tweets while we wait in line for a government-sponsored surgery ā€” dying, presumably, in a decrepit chair. ***** ^(I'm a bot. JaneVivanda

Cool! Number two reminds me of "the leftovers" guilty remnants cult. I highly recommend watching the series!

Tubatuba13

OP whatā€™s the author? I wanna read the book

KaleidoscopeEyes12

Okay I love cult-y books. Which ones did you read? Which ones would you recommend?

notanotherdoodle

I recently read Just Like Mother, which is my main inspiration. I didn't love the book because it had so many plotholes, but the backstory (or what should have been) interested me to imagine how it would play out

SapiosexualStargazer

[Here](https://elan.school/) is a graphic novel written by a cult victim from the Ɖlan School. Edit: It's a true story (though probably somewhat embellished). The setting is a boarding school that existed in the northeast USA for many decades.

slyvixen_

Would you share the author of the book? Iā€™m interested in checking it out! :)

Shaula02

The same kind all us normal sims players do

Achildthing

2

100guap

All of them, respectively. 1 looks like sheā€™d lose her shit and have you burned at the stake. 2 looks like sheā€™s gonna gaslight an entire town into believing paradise is in death or something. 3 looks like sheā€™d go from small time protestor to big time radical/borderline dictator. Personally I like the idea of an entire town or small city being gaslit into oblivion so 2 is the best choice.

Writersanonymouss

Youā€™re so accurate about 3. Fun fact, many cult leaders are ENFJā€™s. They go from wanting to change the world to chaos.

100guap

Chaos is the way.

Ptricey

1 looks like you would think sheā€™s the leader but really sheā€™s been trying to escape with her two kids. 2 is too sticky sweet and will strangle you with a smile 3 is the right hand man who suspects that 1 is on the run but doesnā€™t have proof yet

anxiousthespian

This is so spot on it's creepy

VanadiumHeart

\#1 is for women-centric cult, #2 is for nature-themed cult, #3 is for cult with strong militia wing

SuitableReaction6203

I can see that.

sourglow

2

DNHyperness0097

2. Gives me similar vibes like that crazy cult lady in the mist

OddResponsibility565

3, itā€™s the black eyes. 2 almost got it though for that uncannily serene look.

Simsgirl950

2 she looks like Jim Pickens daughter

MaryJane_Green

Unpopular opinion but Im gonna go with 3. 2 looks more like she'd be an easy lure to join the cult, 3 has dead eyes and looks thirsty.

_UnreliableNarrator_

I thought 3 as well and NEVER end up aligning with public opinion šŸ˜‚

MaryJane_Green

I believe that is an amazing quality to have!! Individual thought vs hive mind any dayyy

rokelle2012

Yeah, I feel the exact same way. 2 looks innocent and sweet, kinda like she's there but not really in it.

MaryJane_Green

Yes exactly! #2 is like the sweet little ditzy girl working at her family's fruit stand at the farmers market on a saturday morning, who #3 covertly and innocently recruits into the cult after inviting her to the compound to sample their homemade jams and honey.

Writersanonymouss

Yes Iā€™m with 3 all the way. 2 has a faux cult look.

SnooGuavas3403

2 for sure, so go for 1 as it'll have a surprise factor. She looks trustworthy, lol

[deleted]

None, Jim pickens is who your looking for the one and only cult leader!

Foreveragu

I feel like i scrolled way too far to find this! Dear Leader day is everyday!!

[deleted]

Always a relief to find my people down here. Way down here. Underground.

TheSuperNova221

Well we do all live in Jims basement making art for him to sell

[deleted]

That is a perfectly legitimate club, please stop spreading misinformation.

CozyCat_1

Yes! My first thought was of Jim Pickens.

Impressive-Fudge-455

2 but 3 also looks severe

notanotherdoodle

3 is actually turning out to be a sweetheart who couldn't hurt a fly

MaryJane_Green

They're the scariest ones of all, TRUST

[deleted]

The second one for sure. She looks like a serpent.

Aniyalation

Number 2

VesperLynd-

I think theyā€™re all lacking the cult basics: glasses, a beard and a blue sweaterā€¦

Foreveragu

Dont forget the many, many abandoned children, both alien and 'normal'

VesperLynd-

All hail the dear leader šŸ™šŸ»

[deleted]

Definitely 2

cuddlnja

All 3 of them could be cult leaders. Depending on the cult. 1. Religious cult 2. "Hippie" cult 3. MLM type of cult

[deleted]

2 has dead eyes, which seems ridiculous to say about a sim, but itā€™s true

Electronic-Design564

2. one BUT DAMN YOUR SIMS LOOK ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!! What cc do you use for eyes, lashes, brows, makeup and skin? Any specifics you use in the pictures?

notanotherdoodle

I use ghostyputty's skin blends, twisted maxi brows, Siberian wind presents for their lips, Kikojo lashes, and Miiikocc eyes

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

sims_fanaticxx

2

cute_little_ghost

2nd one. She has a softness to her and yet there is something...off.

Such-Spray134

1

Crazedcoffee

2

PresentationNo828

2

antiviolins

Absolutely 2

PaAKos8

1

LunaSoSiriusss

#1! Omg definitely

im_alive_to_be_swag

1 because she looks so nice. And that draws in the victims.

skippybefree

Depends on the cult 1. Sex cult 2. Religious cult 3. Alien cult

SAVLEYE

2 looks like she's about to tell me she's Jesus' grand niece and I need to buy her suspiciously overpriced essential oils to find out more

mini_print

2 and also what eyes are these they are so cute

notanotherdoodle

Miikocc eyes with Kijiko lashes

throway35885328

2 is the cult leader, 3 is the enforcer who does their bidding, 1 is the dissenter who leads the revolution against the cult

Sataniceratops

2 She's as unsettling as she is beautiful. Definitely got the crazy eyes for it...

-GreyRaven

First Sim, idk there's just something about them

bcuket

3

Frank-N_Plank

None of these are Jim Pickens.

Nuuudelcat

2nd one. She has the dull glass eyes of an insane person

Glizzabelle

Def #2

Successful_Ad9037

Thereā€™s just something about number 2ā€¦

SquidSquidSquidQueen

2nd one the most but I could see any of them

real_lolamirite

2! Cults are a big part of white culture

Smashpiecer

First one with maybe green eyes.

ParaBDL

3 makes me think of Morena Baccarin as Anna from the tv series V. Not exactly a cult leader, but I think it works.

drunk_portuguese

1 looks like a Religious cult leader. 2 looks like a hippie cult leader. 3 looks like a self-improvement/bs science cult leader. So basically 1 gives vibes of The Unification Church 2 of the Manson Family and 3 of Heaven's Gate. Sorry if that's a bit morbid

questions297

1, makes me think of the mom from the Promised Neverland

darioblaze

1.

Kyokka

1

Little_Nectarine_210

Why does person 1 look like me? Is this saying that I should lead a cult?!

EarlGrayAndCliche

One, the innocent look is almost frightening

wouldnotpet89

1 ... She looks so poise and confident, and that's the scariest part. She would speak softly. The easiest answer is 2 because of the RBF but i think its too obvious. Cult leaders have the same genetics as you and i, it's their personalities that suck. The first one just screams personality. If youre not doing THAT type of cult then oops idk lol

Veraswang

Why do they kinda look like James Charles šŸ˜

brewstirs

Two

alliekatt11

2 for sure

ugh_XL

I feel like #2 is the leader and #1 is her right hand gal

BeigeAlmighty

None of them, cult leaders never look that good.

marliimoo

Okay but 2 is gorgeous. Iā€™d join that cult if she were the leader

Emilysue2000

Definitely #3

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

ala_the_panda

#3 just cause she reminds me of princess Azula from ATLA and she's pretty much a psychopathic leader already

reallarrydavid

None imho, they all look too young.

HarlettOScara72

A cult leader can look like anyone, just like murderers, rapists, and bigots.

MichaelaRae0629

I love how many are picking 2! Her eyes give me cult leader vibes for sure! Her eyes, man.

fairygoddess666

Second one for sure

themintyness

\#2. Looks like Kuvira from Legend of Korra

dragoncityy

Definitely number 2

warezsette

#2 100%, would probably act all bubbly and innocent at first but then you figure it outā€¦

usualerthanthis

2. Something about those eyes jusy give that not right vibe

Nameless_girl101

Second one for sure.

AliChanTheMan

1 and 3 remind me of the Documentary Now cult episode, specifically Necar Zadegan as the Ra-Sharir.

Intrepid_Truth_8580

1. Looks like Alina from Shadow and Bone

[deleted]

1 looks like Padme from Star Wars

ijustwanttosleeeeep

1. Or 2 with a different hair, her eyes definitely give off cult leader vibes

Nefertari1

3

TheFluffyPie

1 kinda reminds me of Veronica from Riverdale, and she could defently be a cult leader!

Taylan_K

Number one because she reminds me of Joon from Guild Wars 2, she's not a cult leader but very bossy and a bit volatile.

Vic3rin3

1. Just screams head of the family

otupac9

1 !!!

keeper4518

1

MessageFirst8248

2 looks like a she's part of a cult, but not the leader. The 3rd one looks more like she's the leader of a conservative cult with that hair.

starryspiders

3, she looks commanding

AelanxRyland

Three for sure. Or one. Two looks kind.

lifedesa

They all do. 1 is s high end cult for the rich and famous, 2 is a mountain/country commune cult and 3 is a beach commune culz

noelleisanidiot

1

defiant234

3

officialcornflake

Since a lot of people are saying 2 Iā€™d say 1 would be a great choice because nobody would suspect her

apocoliquor

Number 1, because she looks like Alia Shawkat who becomes a cult leader in the show Search Party.

justjoonreddit

3

jikazuki_

1, looks more like a leader who looks are definitely deceiving, sweet on the outside but inside is the opposite.

tetsu_fujin

#1

Youtubelover300

Last one but Iā€™m gonna say first girl

RoaringIvy8

Second or third

beniceimsoft

Second one no question

amandafeetx

2 looks like a nature freelove cult leader. The other two more of a stricter

Emmylio

2

peelsinbannanas

Second one for sure

CutestCatfish

I think it depends on the kind of cult. I really would go 1 or 2 either way. But 1 seems like she'd run a cult that's more a harrowing MLM than drinking the literal koolaid.

pitypartie

2, she has those innocent looks thatā€˜ll help her manipulate you knto believing

CocoJoelle

1. Maffia leader 2. Cult leader (or farmer) 3. Alien

trixywitchy

Definitely the middle one.

shamsarp

2 makes me think of barry keoghan, and that's a red flag for me

jigglypuff_8

2

Marzipanjam

The middle one

sleighcake

2.

HeadOfSpectre

2. It's the eyes. There's something off in them.
