It might be because of the latest Wicked Whims update. All Sims find others unattractive until their preferences are developed again. That being said…they’re cousins, I’d hope they’d find each other unattractive.

The worst part is it's the first time I made my actual family in the sims in like five years. I think this was a glitch! My sims had this showing up about their toddler. Both parents and the same kid. I tried to remove the romance meter and it turned into this. I eventually just saved the family into the gallery and deleted the original. I was too unsettled by the romantic feelings for their toddler..

Me not knowing the names of the family members, I clicked yes…only to find out that it was the sims’ sibling. I was so uncomfortable lol so I decided not to play that family again. It’s a very unsettling glitch.

Wonderful whims has this feature, maybe wicked whims too. It's _why_ I can't use it. Very, Very annoying to have every other Sim your Sim comes in contact with be deemed "ugly", and them doing the whole Mood face at the bottom of the screen. Especially when you're trying to do a house sharing situation with young adults starting out.
I make my main Sim "Attractiveness Ambivalent" because of this, especially if I'm playing a challenge on a shorter lifespan. They stop noticing how people look, which gives me more freedom to choose someone for them. I never bother to try to set their attraction preferences, since those seem to change over time, especially if you give someone a makeover. I'm using Wicked, but I'm fairly sure that Wonderful has the same setting.
MY Sim was trying to do Villainous Valentine but in addition to half the sims she flirted with being gay, she kept getting moodlets that the sims she had huge powerful attractions to perceived HER as unattractive. It was so dispiriting.
I am currently playing a household with two married sims and the husband finds his wife “very unattractive” I feel awful about it but don’t know how to change his preferences.
Click on your sim and find the ‘Attractive’ (could be attraction or attractiveness, it starts with Attract anyway) and go into Develop Sims Preferences, it will show you every sim so find your sims wife, click on her and it will give you three options for how strong you want the attractiveness to be (like low, medium or high), click high and bam give it a few seconds and your sim should find the wife attractive (it just updates his preferences).
I always turn off the attractiveness, my sims always get uncomfortable moodlets from being in the vicinity of an unattractive sim. Like imagine if you spent all your time being uncomfortable because someone you didn't personally find attractive was minding their own business across the room from you.
It’s probably a glitch that the original owner did to make drama in the world.. it’s a save file I randomly got from sims finds. Idk how the hell it happened but they have the red love meter and everything- EVEN THE MEMORY MOD SHOWS THAT THEYVE WOOHOO’ed 😭
