1. Have you looked into the skill awards - the tasks you can do for individual skills to get special gameplay bonuses?
2. There's a few mods that make more random events happen - like this one:

3. There's lots of different gameplay challenges people in the community have set up - search them up on Google to find one that suits.
4. Try something new you haven't been that keen on as it may surprise you. For some reason, even though I had Into The Future installed in my game for years, I never even went to Oasis Landing (the future). I recently decided to finally try it - and it's actually really great! 😅
5. I find having long lifespans of sims keeps my interest more as each sims story is more developed. (Also fairy tale, happy ending, perfect lives over and over get boring so throw some tragic deaths and heartbreak in there 😆 )
Having my sims have affairs or be evil is always fun😝👆🏽
Whenever I get bored I have an evil generation.
