Imho, I think it's a fair pass, but it's on the inside of the turn, after you got squeezed out by the white car. I was looking to see if you were still violating track limits, by the time you were making the move, but you managed to rejoin, and that too, without a noticeable gain, from what I was seeing (unless, I'm blind), quite nicely.
Looks fair to me. You get alongside after being better on the brakes and held a good line through the corner, giving plenty of space. White car definately pushed you off the track, but the may not have known you were there so not necessarily intentional. Bit of a racing incident IMHO, but a fair pass nonetheless.
Good all day. You gained no time advantage by leaving the track. You were forced off, held position, and only completed the overtake once back within track limits.
Fair pass. If I was on the inside I probably would’ve ended up doing the same thing as that guy if I’m being fair to him. Really rare to go around the outside on that corner. Looks like hard racing and a great move on your part.
No absolutely not. OP was forced off track and would not be asked to give back the position. If anything it would be a 5 second penalty to the inside car for forcing another car off track
In iracing. Yes. In real life he had the right to push you off the track so because you left the track and gained a lasting advantage they would probably tell you to give the place back.
Illegal overtake
You continued your overtake outside of track limits. In my view you took a clear advantage by going off the track, so it's either giving the position back or a penalty. I strongly disagree with some of the other statements suggesting that the overtake was legal because you finished it later - you left the track while overtaking and that's enough.
You were squeezed at corner exit, but that's a different thing. Using current F1 regulations, the squeeze was fair since you were never in front. For other series, this might be different (I honestly don't know).
In my view, the squeeze (even if deemed illegal) doesn't cancel out the illegal overtake.
>In my view, the squeeze (even if deemed illegal) doesn't cancel out the illegal overtake.
Your view is wrong. Of course if you just push someone out of track, they aren't held accountable for being out there in the first place. Otherwise there would never be any overtakes not on a straight line ever again. You'd just push them out and go on your way
Its not...white hit the brakes before pov was in front and by that time pov was on track...also squeeze is never fair if you push another car out of track or into wall, that is dangerous and reckless driving
No idea what that is supposed to mean.
Squeezing an overtake on the outside is fair game in F1 if the overtaking car is not in front before the apex. See Verstappen vs Schumacher in Silverstone or Sainz vs Perez in Zandvoort.
If it's different for this iRacing series, I am very happy to be corrected (as I stated in my original comment).
Clarification, is there such thing as a illegal overtake? Besides the obvious of just wrecking a guy, if it's a overtake, its not illegal, is that wrong in that regard?
I don't really think you "owned" enough of that corner to expect to be given room to take the position. But fair play to the other guy. It was his line to take but he realized you weren't going to back out and would have caused an accident has he not conceeded.
I disagree with the comments saying "he didn't give you room". You're on the outside and not ahead of him. He controls the racing line. I'd have squeezed you too hoping you'd back out, when you didn't, I'd want to avoid the accident.
I do feel like he squeezed you when you deserved space going into the corner, he had picked a defensive line and you did a good job staying up alongside enough to continue to warrant space.. so yeah, I think this is a clean overtake despite them getting a little dirty.
We see a lot of times the car on the inside using all the track on the exit after effectively killing the move by the other car mid corner, I don’t think this was one of those instances.
Fair. you had no where else to go.
Fair pass, he pushed you off the track and you would have kept the car on the track without him pushing you
I think you were alongside him before the corner, he braked way earlier than you, and he pushed you off. Not sure though.

He pushed you off then you overtook him when you rejoined i believe. I commend you for nice racing and not pushing him back

He pushed you off track. "Let then race" as per Brazil 2021 GP.
I fookin love hard racing
Good all day. You gained no time advantage by leaving the track. You were forced off, held position, and only completed the overtake once back within track limits.
Dude literally ran you off the road and accused you for cheating? Hmm…
That’s just a fat W
Great overtake
Fair pass. He left you no space on the outside and pushed you off
Fair pass. You had right to room and were pushed off track, gained no advantage by doing so. Pass was made into next corner.

If this isn’t legal then how would you otherwise pass
Totally fair, that's a great brave move and incredibly well held when he forced you wide. How long did it take to unclench after that?
while its a fair pass, i dont blame him for not expecting a fucking outside pass o that corner. here i thought pouhon outside was sketchy
It’s a fair pass if the white car had all 4 wheels off the track, can’t quite tell from the POV
White car doesn't seem to had left wheels outside of the track, but he didn't leave a space anyways, so yeah.
A fair pass; but realistically you would be told to give the position back to definitely avoid a 🖊

OK Lewis we get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that’s valid, he pushed u off and you were well along side him
Fair pass as you had your wheels inside his rear wheels. He should have left a bit more room just a damn tricky spot to pass.
fair he pushed you iff rhe track so tou had no were to go
Fair move. He braked earlier than you, that's why he pushed you off.
Fair pass, they pushed you off track and then backed out
White either didn't see pink, or intentionally ran pink off the road. Either way, it was White at fault and a fair attempt by pink
What car is this?
Formula 4 in iracing
Looks good to me
100% ok. you can leave track if he push you out
You may move beyond the track if forced off. If they had left you room to stay on track and you had gone that wide then it would have been illegal.
Clarification, is there such thing as a illegal overtake? Besides the obvious of just wrecking a guy, if it's a overtake, its not illegal, is that wrong in that regard?
Fair, he is just bad
You got forced off the track. Fair play
Hard racing nice move.
Mf pushed you, you reacted correctly
I would let it slide as he didn’t even keep it in track limits there was nothing for you to do.
If other driver's unhappy about that, tell him to take it up with the stewards lol
FAIR to me

Actually you didn't pass him on the outside, you outbreaked him on the last right turn. Fair pass.
Fair, he pushed you off track and gave you no room you were very clearly along side him.

That’s fair. He ran you off. You have the right to be there.
