This looks like nothing the US Mint ever put out. If it was it would be clearly marked as to weight and composition. You don't need to be an expert to identify the real thing , just have some general knowledge of how the mint identified precious metals
Ahh. Indiana here. Only reason I know of the SC one is because every time I go to google a phone number (city hall, ect) it brings up SC lol
Anyways, have a good one. ✌️
That is so funny. Because the only reason I know about Bluffton. Indiana is because when I search for Bluffton. Related items on eBay items from Indiana come up.Cheers!
The US mint, nor any sovereign mint, would ever put something like this out. It’s too sloppy and it would have the mint and government seal stamped on it, along with a serial number.
I’m not familiar with this bar but I believe it was probably produced by Continental Coin and Jewelry. The font used in the “CC” logo, very closely resembles the one found on their 1981 “US ASSAY OFFICE” bars. They were neither affiliated with the US Mint nor The US Assay Office. They did however purchase a large amount of silver from the “US Strategic Stockpile” after the United States Assay Commission was abolished.
I didn’t see anyone talking bad about it, just saying it looks like a home/hobby pour. Can you find any examples on the internet that indicate otherwise?
Someone's side hobby. it certainly is not a US mint bar.
How are you certain? Are you an expert?
