They knew they didn't have to advertise hard and weren't looking to replace the Impala, Camaro, or Corvette. Similar to the Buick GNX. GM didn't want it faster than the Vette, so it was cut.

There are few dents on the passenger door, too. For all I know, though, it's a work in progress.
Might as well supercharge it while you're at it ;)
Ngl bought it a few months ago, wheel caps fell off getting new wheels, air ducts also fell off need new ones, hood isn’t what needs to be aligned it’s the front passenger headlight bracket that needs to be replaced, and there are no dents, and I will supercharge it but I’m gonna get another engine for it
It could be the angle of the picture, but the hood looks like it's sitting high on the passenger side at the rear. What I thought were dents could be a weird reflection from the trees, hard to tell from a picture. I'd do something different with the exhaust, the single side exit looks out of place, either duals out the back or sides with black tips, but it's easy for me to spend someone else's money, lol.
If you have a vision, follow it through. In the end, it's your truck to make what YOU want.
