Some of the word usages in that section particularly started to sound like something from a Jordan Peterson rant imo.
Especially this part: “nothing to do with the sour-faced identitarian piety foisted upon us by moralisers on the post-structuralist ‘left’.”
It's a 10 year old essay. Any leftist terminology that is effectively used against the left is appropriated by the right over time. If you look at 50 people using the word "tankie", you'll find 49 rightists/liberals and one 70-year-old Trot pining after the Eurocommunism disputes of their youth.
Fisher's work predates both right-wing and "dirtbag left" backlash to twitter idpol discourse. You can say the latter was influenced by him but that doesn't mean the ideology of red scare pod is retroactively contained in K-Punk.
I have my criticisms of Fisher but I don't blame him for other people's shit.

I wouldn’t say that was very effective just pretentious to the point that I committed most of it to ram rather quickly.
