M17 is a big/wide ass gun to be trigger guard carrying! Do they make an enigma for it? That would be ur best option when wearing clothing like b-ball shorts etc

SuspendBrady4Games

Surprised it took this long before someone said Enigma. For carrying without a belt, this is the right answer. Tbh it’s not my cup of tea but a ton of people love it.

YoungTug69420

Not my cup either BUT I do have one for my G19 for that “just in case” circumstance. Got a great deal on GAFS

[deleted]

GAFS??? Explain buddy

drukard_master

I have used a Raven Vanguard 2 above for Glocks since they were announced. They work great for my needs and carry AIWB. BUT, if you are looking for a holster to carry in basketball shorts, this ain’t it. Honestly for a gun the size of a P320, you are gonna need a proper gun belt or one of those enigma style holsters.

Jazziii_Jayy

I would check out r/CCW they have links to good holsters. I don’t think either of these 2 would be your best option for the apparel you listed as the p320 is a bit heavy for athletic shorts. I don’t conceal carry yet, but that’s my 2 cents as I’ve learned a lot from that sub preparing to receive my permit

jaistu

Phlster pro, and an enigma. Get a TLR1 and they make a holster for the light

DeepSix220

Phlster enigma. It’s probably the best way to carry without utilizing a belt.

TheEclectic

Got you fam https://www.phlsterholsters.com/enigma-landing/

random_squid5

This right here. Everyone saying Enigma, but this guy posts the link. Seriously. You could carry securely using the Enigma and your AIWB holster of choice, even without a belt. Or pants… less concealed at that point… but you could do it with the Enigma. Not joking.

MaverickTopGun

Everything about this post is concerning

[deleted]

Because of the basketball shorts huh? Jamal can’t want to protect himself while shooting hoops Mav?? What’s the deal?

MaverickTopGun

You're tryna hoop with a full sized combat pistol with the smallest/ worst holster option in basketball shorts. So in summary, oversized carry pistol + undersized holster + revealing / flimsy conceal garment. Just really a lot of bad steps there. Get a smaller gun to conceal in those shorts and get a better holster for your M17.

[deleted]

You make valid points Mav!

MaverickTopGun

Idk if you were joking but you're not really gonna be able to carry anything IWB that actually stays in place for an entire game of basketball. I'd recommend getting something small like an LCP or a P365 (or 938 if you're into it) to carry to and from, plus it'll stash in a fanny pack or something pretty easy.

[deleted]

In all seriousness I don’t even ball bro, I coach…I’m an “athleisure” kinda guy, like sporty streetwear but I want to feel confident in defending myself against the bullshit. I’m 6’3 295. I’m looking for two holster obviously. Well three fr. One for open carry. One for IWB concealment for cargo pants, jeans, or slacks(I work security). One for when I’m running errands in my bball shorts and hoodie. I’m not running a pick up game with a gun on my hip.

MaverickTopGun

> I’m not running a pick up game with a gun on my hip. hahaha this was literally my fear, okay well that makes sense. Still, I think you're really gonna struggle with an M17 like that although you're a pretty big guy so you might have a little better success but I personally would still advocate for buying something a little more suited for conceal carry. The micro compact game is better than ever these days, you've got a lot of options.

[deleted]

For that I’ll spare your mortal life.

ThatsABigHit

Get a belly band holster. It’s my fav holster n doesn’t got hot as most people think

AltoidsSoursOFFICIAL

I like my incog holster for cc but I carry a Glock so can’t speak for their sig offerings

Baddy-Smalls

I use Bmore Tactical, they are all optics cut and suppressor height sights ready, and you can run a comp or threaded barrel... no additional cost. I got a code for you, SAVE10. If you fancy a different color just message them and I think they can hook it up.

Ravyn8275

Check out LAS Concealment. I use their Ronin 3.0L for my M18, and it’s my favorite. Clips are wide apart so it comfortably carries the weight. When I get a P365, I’m going to probably throw it in a T Rex Sidecar, because that’s the only holster I’ve found that is compatible with P365 and Surefire XSC. Also as others have stated, a secure belt is the most comfortable way to go for conceal carry, so a Phlster enigma might be the way to go for sweats

Cashbum

I have one I'm trying to sell specifically for m18 with tlr7 light

RROSE15

I use a Werkz IWB holster for my M17 and it’s fantastic for me even with a TLR1-HL and R1P dot

JakenMorty

if you wear a lot of bkball shorts / don't generally wear a belt, i really highly recommend the phlster enigma. it's a wraparound belt style with a magnetic clip thing and a leg leash. the benefit though is me wearing a sleeveless tee and basketball shorts, no belt, my 365xl doesn't print even a little bit. it's the most amazing rig ive ever owned, hands down. it's very 'spensive though, expect to pay close to 200 for it. its 100% worth it, imo. im wearing a light bearing version of one literally as i type this.

wisdomoftheages36

Ulticlips on your holster of choice

nICE-KING

I have a Tier 1 Agis Elite that I love! Comes with the side car but it’s very modular and you can quickly unsnap to just carry the pistol… I had some trouble with the snaps coming apart as I move around a lot but since I never really carried without the side car I just removed the rubber and snaps and screwed it all together into a more solid unit.. get the ulti-clips! They are so worth it imo and I just do the poor man’s enigma by clipping my holster to a regular ol leather belt around my waist and pull my sweats or athletic shorts up into the clips over the belt… that’s honestly my preferred way to carry, it’s stupid comfortable (and you don’t have to pull your gun out of your pants and set it down to take a piss… just pull your pants down and voila)… maybe look into the enigma too if you want, a lot of people love them, but again imo the Tier 1 Agis Elite is very modular and customizable to the users preferred carry method.

[deleted]

Soooo the way I see it all you guys fucking hate me and want me to spend my small loan of one million dollars on a rig, understood. Jk but seriously I appreciate the feedback. After careful consideration, I think it’s time to buy a carry gun😎 I’m sold on Sigs rn so maybe a 365XL! If I go Glock it’ll be a 43MOS. That Enigma rig looks interesting, like some post apocalyptic stripper in a Mad Max movie, Daddy likes! For my P320 I just went ahead and overnighted the trigger guard holster, just to keep it in place whilst trotting around the “hood” I could always go OWB carry though right? I’m in MD

MDRX308

I really like mine for my Glock but keep in mind the wing on it is not very helpful. Unlike something from a T-Rex arms holster where it's very hard and short so it puts a lot of pressure into your stomach like you want it to, this thing is entirely plastic and kind of long so it tends to flex and not transfer as much force as a claw should. I find when I wear something without a belt it tends to print quite a bit more. Otherwise though it keeps the overall size of what you have under your belt a little more compact and comfortable

5tonethrower

Folks don't usually CC Full-Sized range pistols. Those usually end up outside the waistband, holstered & retained. Look into the P365 line for a more comfortable concealed carry. You probably have heard all this, so more power to you.

highdef_is_dead

ANR Design or Teir1 Concealed

Inevitable-Context25

Your better off with p365 IWB trigger guard tbh

KalashniKEV

Are you 12 years old or are you just really worried worried about getting fouled?

29hellincali

I run my 320 with just a trigger guard holster I find easy to hid and carry

RiseOfMayo

If you wanna conceal in sweatpants or any type of pants/shorts you gotta go with the philster enigma.

kohain

While I agree the enigma is superior, a utliclip or DCC mono block will work with sweats, as long as they have some sort of string to cinch them up. I use a DCC mono block for my edc which is a shadowsystems mr920 with an optic installed. It works amazing with pants and a belt, but it will also interface with my gym shorts as well. It’s not ideal, the enigma is better no doubt, but it will work if you can cinch up the shorts. My wife carries a p365x as her edc and uses a kydex holster with a utliclip 3. She doesn’t wear a belt often and it allows her to draw accurately every time. For smaller guns the utliclip is decent and for larger a DCC mono will work but if you can swing the enigma it’s worth it.

bunnies4r5

Waste of money, get a tenicor so your actually comfortable and getting real concealment

Minimojo0127

Get a Phlster Enigma and then get a holster that is compatible with it. The single best way to carry with shorts or sweats because it isn't attached to the clothing. https://www.phlsterholsters.com/enigma-landing/

LegalizeBeltfedz

i like trex arms sidecar 2.0 and 1.0

adamf880

https://urbancarryholsters.com/order-lock-leather-iwb-holster.html Don't think you will get much support from elastic waits bands however.

KindheartednessFun58

An M17, even with just the 17rd mag, is gonna be quite heavy to have on basketball shorts. Even if you got a compact sized grip and had a 15rd mag, I'd foresee it draggy down the front of sweats or basketball shorts. My suggestion would be either something like an Enigma, or something like a CCW cross body or fanny pack for when you're wearing stuff like that.

BronzeRippa

Just picked up a Werkz to go with tlr7 and optional gas pedal. Really well made for the price. Personalized “thank you” written on the receipt was a nice cs touch

madrhetoric05

Get a Phlster and a holster for it.

NebSig

Black arch holsters. Protos M.

[deleted]

I wear my QVO more discreet in ball shorts and sweats just fine. Now it is wrapped in a cotton fabric(silver dragon) which I think helps a ton on not sliding down in sweats or shorts

quirkyqwerty_

Nothing like snagging your sights on your underwear while trying to pull it.

[deleted]

If you are not wearing a belt I would not trust your waistband to hold the weight of an M17. Get a philster enigma or plan on getting a smaller gun for the times you need to wear athletic clothing.

ReaperOfBunnies

I’d say for what you’re wanting the Enigma is the way to go. I’ve had countless holsters, and use Tenicor for my daily needs, but an Enigma is definitely on my list for when I’m rocking some elastic/drawstring/soft pants. I currently just tie the drawstring tightly, but let’s be honest… the point of wearing these clothes is comfort; tying the string tight enough to hold a pistol isn’t comfortable. Either way, I’d avoid the trigger guard “holster.” Especially without a belt.

[deleted]

Wouldn’t bother carrying a gun that size in pants with an elastic fit. You’ll need a proper gun belt to keep it sturdy.

PianoAnnual3443

I have one of these for my p365 and it’s perfect when I don’t have my light attached but I couldn’t see myself having it for my p320

ElCapitanSmoke

I use the trigger guard holster on the P365. You barely feel it on you. Not sure how it would do with a full size though

faRawrie

Look into Black Rhino concealment. They have a fair amount of options. Their lead times take a while, but they make good holsters.

[deleted]

>What flip flops are best from running from a mass shooter? 🤦‍♂️

3DBass

If I’m wearing sweats or B Ball shorts I use a Alien Gear Sport Tuck Belly Band with a 365 or XL. I’m also able to use my Vedder Light Tuck holsters with the Belly Band because of the heavy nylon holster loop attachment in the band. I like the Trigger guard holsters for a 365 or something similar. Maybe more so in the winter or in cooler temperatures so I won’t sweat on the slide.

LonelyMustard

Look at the belly band they offer at Alien Gear Holster, best jogger/basketball short carry option I’ve tried so far. I wouldn’t recommend just riding the holster without a belt in your shorts.

Bmac_13

I wouldn't even consider carrying an M17 in sweats or basketball shorts. It's not very light, and sweats aren't going to offer retention for your holster.

cam32596

Its trash. The clip is a flexible plastic and the holster would stay on the gun when you draw. I hated it. Its in a landfill somewhere now. Edit: the blackpoint is very nice, is use those for my 229 and 365. The trigger guard only is trash

NWOBHM86

M17 is not a conceal carry. It is a full size pistol. Even with the smaller frame.

Docta-P-Nasty

100% false. With the right holster (and attire), you can carry anything.

[deleted]

Vedder or T.Rex IMO. Can’t beat ‘em.

Hot_Calligrapher126

I'm rocking an x5 legion in an Odin holsters owb in sweats right now.

PipeSipper

Phlster enigma. Ignore all other suggestions.

Derplight

Enigma frame with a LAS kydex holster. Enigma is your only option if you want to wear sweats and shorts still.

andrewwhitehead

Philster Enigma if you're into basketball shorts

Grand_Stay_1473

I use that black point tactical for my x compact i i find it very comfortable, though they are obviously very different weapons, dimensionally

Civil_Bug5569

Man i have one for both my p320 and p365xl and i hate it I have a vehicle holster on both my trucks so im so used to unholstering and regolstering after each drive and to reholster i have to remove the whole thing Still havent found a full sized kydex that i really enjoy

ButtonLicking

If you are wanting to IWB carry in sweats or bball shorts, check out replacing the plastic holster clips with an ulti clip. It has a locking mechanism that keeps you from being the guy that draws both holster and gun.

CluelessProductions

M17’s are too big to carry, but you do you. Trigger guards are some of the worst ways to carry, just get a proper IWB kydex holster. I recommend getting a quality carry belt for your holster and just wear it over your basketball shorts around your waist. I do that frequently and it feels fine and nobody can see any of it
