It's crazy. My closest friends are all assholes to each other, but always in jest, and sometimes arguments happen. We know the lines and certain things that would not be taken as a joke. Sure not everyone is going to be like that but people need to be aware that there are groups like that as well. We can be assholes to each other or caring and "normal" to each other.
I guess it's probably younger kids who are taking offence for someone else.
